This is a great dog park/hike! I love seeing all the doggies! Also the beach is beautiful, and theres some wildlife if your lucky. Plenty of sand dollars to look at and pretty stones and sea glass. There are stairs near the parking lot and stairs near Lake Merced area, a good way to get those steps in! Such a gem!
We had a wonderful time. The beach was clean, beautiful & not crowded. The restrooms were also clean. Showers were the perfect touch. We will be back. Thank you for preserving our wildlife
Seven and a half mile walk with a beach to swim half way between start to finish approximately 2:30 min walk hike time real quiet always a long dry or wet hot trip but massive gains in stress reduction only a few other fit folks on the trail its one of the last places in the area to escape if you need to get away clear your mind and wear yourself down in a healthy way Perdido trail is the ticket
One if the nicer beaches in the area. Quiet, peaceful, restful. Not commercialized like the other local beaches. One of the treasures in this area. If youre looking for a nice place to take the kids or just to read a book and listen to the waves this is the place. I 5 star this beach for its natural beauty. There are several access points with shelters and bath areas. Very nice. No pets or camping on this end but camping and lodging is available locally.
Dogs are NOT allowed, idk why the reviews say they are but I just drove an hour to have a park ranger come up and point at my dog for 5 minutes before he could open his mouth and use his big boy words to tell me what the problem was. Flora-Bama area needs to make some dog friendly areas, it’s rude.
Love the beaches here!! Beautifully kept up and not overly populated. Came summer 2019 and found ourselves back for 2020. Parasailing, dolphin cruises, banana boat rides and more!
Beautiful and had this beach pretty much to ourselves for two days. Some of the beaches along this ares are more heavily trafficked, this one wasnt...at least during our visit.
Clean state park with excellent ocean access. Showers, covered areas, showers and bathrooms on site. Wasn’t too busy compared to other nearby beaches. Would return next time we’re in the area!!
Beautiful day! Nice sunshine but the water was a little bit cold. The people that were at the beach were all nice! There were people playing volleyball, dodgeball. Baseball, basketball, and running races in the sand. The sand was so clean, the kids were finding sea shells and old fossils! There was drift wood that was nice and weathered. It was a good time. Everything was perfect. We found a parking spot right away. I highly recommend this place!
Beautiful beach! Not overcrowded, clean, free parking in most areas. The bathroom at beach #3 could be cleaner but other than that it is awesome!
Lovely beaches. Parking was three dollars for a vehicle ($1.50 for Veterans/military). Bathrooms were locked by the time I got there 430 so youll want to plan accordingly. Waves happened to be a bit rough but that was expected due to the storms in the area. Overall, Id love to come back when its a bit warmer.
One of the best stretches of beach in the Panhandle. Very rarely crowded, sugar white sand, turquoise waters, lots of small to medium sized colorful shells
Beautiful beach. The park is just the parking area and boardwalk / restrooms / showers. Not a lot of parking, so get there early! This park was unmanned when I visited. Big Lagoon is nearby.
Just beautiful!! A beach where we were solely alone! So quiet and breath taking!
Its a little slice of paradise, away from the condos. The preservation of our natural resources so people can enjoy our beaches.
We love coming here. If you get here early enough, the beach isnt too crowded and theyre is a place to park.
We love this beach! Second time visiting within the same year! Not to crowded, lots of pretty sea shells and some sea weed! Clean Bathrooms, shower area, and enough parking spaces....
Great beach. Stop at Subway on your way in and bring a lunch. Eat at the picnic tables or on the beach.
Nice beaches. Beatiful soft and white sand.
First time going on a long camping trip with my shepherd and had an amazing time. The beaches were clean, park was very nice with plenty of walking trails. I would definitely recommend this park and cant wait to come back.
Loved this beach area, never busy and perfect white sand.
Great beach, not many people there. $3 to park.
Great, Family friendly place with a clean beach and nice people!
Quiet stretch of unspoiled beach. Beautiful!
Super clean beach and the beach goers are really nice people!!
Nice state park but does not have much to offer and amenities but it’s still better than Fontainebleau State Park in Louisiana
Great beach, my family and I went the last week of July and it was not crowded. But be on the watch for the jellyfish.
Beautiful beach with clean sand. Clean bathrooms and an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. No alcohol policy makes it a great spot for families. There are also awnings with picnic tables.
This State Park is a beach access with bath houses, picnic shelters and plenty of parking. It has two entrances approximately a mile apart on the beach Blvd. There are signs at both entrance but they are small and somewhat hard to see. There is a $3 per vehicle fee you deposit in a honor box. The park is very well kept and we enjoyed our visit there.
Visited on a weekday at 5 pm to sunset.Pros: There were but 5 other people on the beach so it was quiet and peaceful. The sand was clean, white, cool and of fantastic texture. The water was warm and clear.Cons: I did not experience any though I did not use the restrooms.
Pretty nice beach area, with restrooms and parking.
A beautiful place to enjoy the day.
One of my favorite picnic spots. One of many public access points along our beautiful white sand beaches on the Alabama coast.
This is a wonderful state park near Gulf Shores, Alabama. It has a beautiful white sand beach with board walks acrossed the dunes from the bathrooms. Parking is limited but ensures the park is never crowded.
Beautiful beaches. Not much else to do here.
Really nice and not overcrowded
Enjoyable beach with less foot traffic than many other beaches in the area. Cannot be seen from the road which offers it a more private feel. You will have to pay $3 for parking. (Worth it.) Has public bathrooms, showers and spigots. Shells are slightly better quality than other more combed over beaches.
Unbelievable.... beautiful beach!!
Its the beach!! Parking can be tricky on a crowded day but the attendant will help sort you. Its a few dollars ($4 if memory serves for a car $2for bike pedestrian). Beautiful views, great access, showers and bathrooms.
Very beautiful got to see a wild stingray!
Beautiful water and clean beach
Its sand, wind and surf. What more can be said? Beautiful little off the road park. Clean sand, gentle hills and gorgeous water.
Great sand, not crowded and easy to get to
We love Perdido Keys Beach
If youre looking for a great hike and you like the water and the woods, then this is the park for you! We had an awesome nature adventure.
My favorite beach. $3 per vehicle. Includes outdoor showers, restrooms, boardwalk with picnic tables and lots of wildlife.
One of the nicest beach weve been. The sands so white, the beachs so blue. We camp at big lagoon and drove here for 15mins. It was free since we were campers in big lagoon.
Definitely not as packed as Pensacola beach. Great way to get out and enjoy the sun. Certain areas include pavilions that are equipped with tables and a grill if you want to have a cookout.
This place always has plenty of parking & its such a big beach you arent crowded together with other people!
Need to clean up the place but overall is cool place
What can you say besides why aint I there
I would recommend this place for family vacation to anyone
Only $3 for daily beach access, way less crowded than public access beaches.
Very beautiful view and lots of room!!
Pretty place. Clean
Absolutely beautiful place!! Hidden gym
Very nice clean beach
Beautiful, not to crowded!! Would give ten stars
While i love Pensacola Beach, during the summer months, it is an absolute nightmare to get to with only the 2 lane bridges to Gulf Breeze and then to Pensacola Beach. So to avoid the aggravation of dead stop traffic and over crowded beaches, I went to Perdido to see what it was all about (I just moved to the area 2 months ago) and I fell in love. While not as touristy as other beach areas, it was easy to find parking, plenty of room on the beach, and beautiful sand and water. Perdido is definitely my go-to when all the tourists are swarming at Pensacola Beach and I just want to chill and enjoy the beach.
Lovely beach, clean facilities, covered picnic tables, absolutely terrific park/beach. Please pay the small parking fee, $3, to help care for our parks. And smokers, quit using the beach as an ashtray !
Beautiful public beach!
Paid 300 a night for a hotel and private beach up the road. This was way nicer, friendlier people and not overcrowded.
Always a wonderful memorable experience. We absolutely LOVE this beach, its never crowded, its clean, has restrooms and an outdoor shower to clean off the sand. Beautiful atmosphere!!!! A must for a family beach trip.
Love it. Private. Peaceful
We walked nearly a mile on the beach and didnt see another person. It was wonderful.
Fun time as long as the weather is good and the water isnt to rough
This is a beautiful park with bathrooms, showers to rise off (not full) and a good amount of parking. It costs $3 per car and it’s based on the honor system. The beach was beautiful and I’d recommend going there for a fun day in the sun.
This is one of my favorite beaches in the whole area. Ive yet to see it crowded, the water is always beautiful and we often see an abundance of marine life. Today we saw small sea turtles, good-sized crabs, a stingray and (thankfully) only one jellyfish. The only issue, and I understand that it does not happen often, was the biting flies. Another beach-goer told me that they come out the first time that there is a North wind. Im sure they wont even be present tomorrow. Dont pass up this beach! But dont tell too many people, I like it quiet !
Fantastic camping site.
Small stretch of beach that is nice. We used the pavilions for lunch which offered a great view. The bathrooms were also nice and clean.
Pretty great for mid-fall season
Beautiful white sugar sandy beach
The beach is so beautiful. Clean and the sand is so soft. Glad we ventured from Orange Beach
Beautiful sand and water
Great for a relaxing beach day. Usually not too crowded like the other beaches in Pensacola. Near some pretty great restaurants as well. Overall best beach experience if you like to have a quiet, easy afternoon.
Stunning!! I was there for the red cross to assess storm damage. We stopped here for lunch and it was the most beautiful place Ive ever seen!!
This is a beautiful beach, with alot of privacy. The two times weve been there there were only a couple other people there.
Always a Great Time!!!
Great spot for a relaxing day
We love it very budget friendly
All Im saying is for locals looking for that spot...
If you need a quiet place to get away with the kids, plan a trip here. You can fish and enjoy a basically private beach. We watch the Blue Angels practice from here. It was a perfect spot! Clean bathrooms. too. It cost $15 for our car load/family, but this also included admission to two other parks for 7 days. Well worth it.
All alone on the beach at sunset. It was beautiful.
Off season was almost empty. But the color of the send reminded me of snow. Good place for quiet walk and listening to the wind blowing over small dunes. It was too cold for a swim but the sun, water and fall wind were just enough to say that the visit was worth it...
Nice beach area with clean restroom
A great place although the boardwalks do need to be repaired.
Low-key spot, not much of a park per se, but modest bathrooms + picnic tables with boardwalk access to pristine, white sands beach make it worth the nominal price. Please pay the paltry $3 fee, folks! Its an honor system. The state provides/maintains it and residents get to enjoy it.
