Very nice campground with large level concrete sites with large grass areas for each site. I came in right after a hurricane so the entire park was not open. It is easy to miss the entry to the park so keep and eye out for it. Road leading to the park is long and rough so be careful. But in the park the roads are very nice. Park is located right next to the water.

Plenty of nice, wooded trails for biking or walking. Camp host was so helpful when we arrived after hours! Took us straight to our site.

I stay here quite a bit in the mobile homes. Lived here for off and on in my rv from 08-2017. Not much to do here anymore. Used to be a fun place but not so much anymore. Its nice but doesnt have the friendly feeling from years past. Whole different breed of campers now. All of the old regulars moved on. Camp hosts used to monitor people speeding but dont anymore especially up in trailer and primitive camping area so be careful. Also very dusty in those areas so be careful if you have allergies or respiratory problems. Trailers just went up to $75. Not such a good deal anymore. Also there is no security here.

Place is very quiet and peaceful... We stayed at Anchor Cove so you only have water and electricity hook ups, there are two dump stations and they have private bathroom/ shower rooms. No laundry on this side of the campground, you have to go to Battleship Row or the trailer area. Host is very friendly!! Spots are first come, first serve...I do recommend getting here during the day as its a bit tough to navigate in the dark. No concrete pad on this side, only Battleship Row, but that didnt bother me. Lots of trails for hiking/ walking, youre right on the water.

This place is very nice! We are staying here for 5 days and are very impressed. It has been the best camp ground weve stayed at, this far. We like the secluded, quiet area. The rv spots are very spacious and shaded. This place has lots of things to do. A downfall is that there arent many washers/dryers for laundry but $1 a piece is a very good price! The place to rent kayaks and such is only open Friday- Monday, which was a negative for us since we got here on a Monday and are leaving on a Friday morning. Otherwise, this is a very clean, beautiful campground at a great price. We highly recommend this place. There is a nice quiet area for fishing as well, so that is a definite plus for my family. We will most definitely be back on future Florida trips!

This is an awesome military recreation area. Its a little out of the way so its quiet. So much so that my cell phone data service was pretty slow, almost unusable (T-mobile). I have stayed in the RV park, rented sailboats, and explored miles of trails by bicycle. There are some gruff old guys working there, but despite the unwelcoming attitude of some of the employees/hosts, the staff was very accommodating and helpful (even the grumpy guys), so dont be discouraged if at first you get an unfriendly reception. The prices are very reasonable and a great perk for those who are eligible.

This has been a very good weekend camp. Reservations guarantees you a spot but they are first come first serve when you get there. Its a very clean campground. Beach area is very nice. No pets on the beach, however the campground is pet friendly. There is putt putt golf, frisbee golf and small play areas around for the kids. There is primitive tent camping, tent camping on wooden platforms, small wooden cabins, 30 amp hookups and 50 amp hookups all grouped together in their respective areas. The 30 amp area does not have septic but there is a dump station. There is also no Wi-Fi however we use Verizon and had a very good signal. We used our own grill to cook on. I probably wouldnt have used the sites grill. We noticed most people just used it as a fire pit. The roads through the campground are dirt but in good shape. We could have stayed in what they call a prime spot, spot number 6, but ended up in spot 19 and feel we made the best choice of the two. The camp welcome center employees and the camp host were all very nice people. Check-in is at 3pm but we were told we could check-in early. Check-out is at 11am. We will happily stay here again in the future.

We liked our visit here. We stayed in Anchor Cove which is beautiful. It is not paved so its very dusty if folks dont mind the 5 mile an hour speed zone. Some of the largest units dont bring up a speck of dust then some Yahoo in a car comes by spewing a storm behind them. The camp host does pretty well when hes out slowing people down. There are plenty of trails for walking. Disc golf courses are nicely maintained. The bathrooms could use a bit of polishing but they are in good repair and there are an adequate amount. The beach on this side is small and very beautiful and there is a larger beach on the other side. The fishing dock is well maintained but there was nothing biting. If I am by here again I would definitely stay again.

Scenic Location for military and DOD employees/retirees that has popular recreational rentals and a small theme park.PROS: Beautiful view, quiet campground, concrete aprons, fire pits, landscaping provides shade.CONS: No wifi or cable, bumpy roads, old flight line/frontage road crumbling due to underlying beach erosion, pricing is high given the absence of wifi/cable offered at other waterfront locations for analogous cost.BOTTOM LINE: Nice place but, with the revenue that it currently generates, upgrades are needed to be accorded a five-star location.

It is the most powerfully beautiful private beach in a cabin that has totally topped any trip to the Gulf of Mexico Ive ever had. I was so sad to leave! The trees and wildlife are out of this world gorgeous. Its well kept, clean, peaceful, quiet, safe, and soooooo decompressing. The water in the bay is unbelievably clear, warm, shallow very far out, and exclusive; which are qualities many bays do not have. It is perfect for people not wanting to be crowded by tourists but still want the beach experience. The only downside is that its only available to certain military veterans; the U.S. Navy specifically. Nearby is the Blue Angel museum and the Blue Angels flight practicing base to visit for an amazing show to watch; but do bring earbuds because they are very very loud. Pensacola beach and Alabamas beaches arent far in both directions. Its very secluded but inconspicuously hidden among the populated suburbs, making it feel like its very far away while being conveniently within minutes of driving to anywhere you need to shop. My heart will weep until I return here!!!!

No Laundry, have to go to other camping areas to use. Restroom showers good and always clean. If you have Sprint, forget it. Very Very poor reception.Talked to people with Verizon, ATT and consumer cellar and they had no problem.Using the satellite dish was also a challenge. But my biggest gripe has to be the beach areas (4). At a 1/3 to 1/2 of the people had dogs. But not a single beach allowed even a small area for dogs. Can not have car dolly at your site. The people there were kind enough to pull mine out and put in the storage area after I asked.

The park was nice but the camp host could not have been more rude! He yelled at my wife, demanded that we hurry up and select a spot, and then promptly told us we were not allowed to park our rv the way we had just parked it. Im not sure why this small minded man with a Napolean complex and a misguided sense of importance was ever given the position of host when he has absolutely no aptitude for kindness or humility, but I think the campground as a whole would greatly benefit from a revision of guidelines as to what characteristics they desire in the person responsible for welcoming guests to the area.

*Warning* The worst experience I’ve ever had!!! We were treated VERY poorly, considering my father in-law is a disabled veteran and fought for his country in Vietnam!!! I made reservations the first of April 2019 for a trip on July 13-21. I gave my father In laws information and was told he is eligible to stay at the campground. I called at least 7 times to ensure our reservations were set because I had a bad feeling. I was told numerous times that everything was in place and not to worry! We pulled into the Blue Angel Campground around 6:30pm and I called the The Welcome Center to ensure everything was in place and was told Yes! However we get there and have no idea what to do because I never received any instructions. Finally and man on a golf cart comes up to us checks my father in-laws ID and was asked “Are you 100% disabled?” My father in law says “No sir I am 80% disabled” The man then informed us we were not allowed to stay at the campground that I had reservations for and called numerous times and never informed of the whole100% disability issue. I called the reservations company and was told “Well you shouldn’t have told them he wasn’t 100%! Seriously!? They tell us we have to leave and guess what we looked for several other places to stay but nothing was opened! So therefore they allowed us to stay one night and told us we had to be gone by 11am. Hey I understand rules and all but come on this was absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! It was so embarrassing and hurtful to a man that almost lost his life in several different occasions for this Country! Blue Angels Campground should be ashamed of their selves for treating a Vietnam Veteran the way they did!
