Palm Springs was the destination for our annual company Christmas Party and our boss had a few different excursions planned for us. One of them was a tour of Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway. The tour was amazing. They took us through each room of the house and gave us some great insight and facts. Gave us a lot of time to take pictures. Tours are offered daily between 1-3pm for $30. a person. Not only is this place famous because Elvis Presley graced it with his presence, the architecture of the place is a great example of mid-century modern architecture. Robert and Helene Alexander were very well known for their for their mid-century modernism. Unfortunately, they both died in a tragic back in 1965.Since then, the place was restored in the 1990s.

This was the hidden gem of my trip to Palm springs. When you drive up you get to thinking youre in another time when Elvis occupied this house. I think even though short lived because I wasnt able to tour just standing outside and the drive up is mind blowing, for sure.

Tourist photo spot. There are people occupied the property. You can only walk around the outside. If you want to have a peek inside, private tour of the house could be arranged ahead of time..

Did not do the tour, but drove to see what was called “House of the Future” when built in early 1960s. Located on a culdesac in older section of Palm Springs. Very cute! Next time, a tour!

Me and my husband decided to go check out the famous elvis honey moon hideaway while we where looking at the house outside a guy unlocked the fence and said you all can come in and look around it was like the scene from willy Wonka all of us excited we payed 35 dollars each cash or card it didnt matter they guy that did the tour was very descriptive about elvis and his life of the home we got to walk around and see all the amazing stuff elvis had definitely worth it I mean who wouldnt want to be where elvis was

A little pricey but worth it. Elvis did not own this but only rented it. The tour group was small so no large crowd. Plenty of Elvis paraphernalia and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable. The tour guide was more than willing to take pictures for you. You could even lay on the bed in the bedroom if you wanted to. This is a good chance to visit a Palm Springs mid-century modern house from the inside.

First thing I thought when I walked up to the front door was wow, beautiful. It reminded me of Alice In Wonderland. The design of this iconic house is so unique, especially for 1960s. Tall doors, low door knobs and surrounded by rock and glass windows that give you the feeling of being outside. Then theres Elvis, I can see why he wanted to live here and have his honeymoon here. What a gem. Expert tour guide knows all about Elvis. If you love Elvis its a must see, if you love oldies but goodies, the is the house. Well perseved and a fun tour. Price is right for an hour of hands on and 50 years of Elvis stories that will bring you back in time.

Very good tour and since the group was small, it was easy to walk around the rooms and everyone got to see everything and take all the pics they wanted. We got to take our time and werent rushed through. The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable about Elvis and the homes architectural background. If youre an Elvis fan, you will feel special being able to sit on the same furniture he did and see all the nostalgia throughout the home.

I am from the silent generation, As a teenager in the 50s, Elvis was king!I live in Palm Spring and have visited his honeymoon hideaway several times and I can say the tour is well worth your visit. Elvis didnt own the place back then but paid quite a bit rent for the short time he spent there. To evade the the nosy photographers, etc., he and Priscilla snook out a back way. I was really thrilled to walk and sit where the king once was!
