Well maintained trail, excellent views over Palm Springs. Light traffic
This is a great hike. Some moderately strenuous sections, but totally worth it. Ive only hiked it in the spring (several times) and the blooming cacti, bushes, trees, etc. are incredible. Incredible views along the entire trail. On my last two times going up I ran into a group of bighorn sheep at the top (near the picnic tables) and then another group on the way back down--even closer. Its such a cool hike--I dont know why its not more popular. No parking at the trail head, but you can park on the street a block east of the trail head.
Bring your water bottle and comfy shoes - this hike is a long one! But be prepared to see the beauty of nature - canyons and local wildlife (i.e. lizards, goat varieties, etc)
Moderately challenging trail steep elevation to start at either end with the nice traverse across the ridge with a great view of Palm desert.suggested 2 hours from our hotel to the highest elevation we did the whole loop in 3 hrs
Trail well maintained, parking close by & bonus 6 mountain sheep grazing within eyeshot. Beautiful view of the valley. You can go over the other side or return same way. Would do it again.
Girlfriend and I had a great time
Love this spot. It was 96 degrees that day in October, but the the view was perpetual and brilliant! Highly recommend.
Great hike! Great views! You can hike for miles and miles. First mile hiking up the mountain was the toughest. After you reach the Vista Point its a steady hike as you work your way up the mountain.
Always a beautiful hike.
Love it
