The actual room and property are great for the price. Location is really good too. And while there are no staff on site, once you call the service is prompt, efficient and friendly. If we werent traveling during COVID, it would have been better. Now the bad. The weekend we were there, the place was packed with 20-somethings...none of whom wore masks and they all clustered in large groups in the pool. At some points there were 10-15 in the pool clustered together with heaps of pool toys (which probably shouldnt be in there as they are high-touch items). We saw a cleaner, but she never wore a mask either despite signs everywhere saying that staff would wear masks at all times in rooms so immediately we were uncomfortable with the cleanliness levels. The front door was unlocked pretty much the whole time we were there allowing people to come in and out. A neon sign outside our door is probably the most instagrammable thing in Palm Springs. On one night, a group of girls spent 45 minutes directly outside our door posing. All we could hear was try looking this way or thats hot again and again and again. Rooms overlooking the pool need the blinds down at all times as they can be seen directly into. And music played for hours in thumping bass until we rang the team to get neighbors to turn it down. Finally, the rooms arent well stocked. We had two forks, one spoon, three knives. Basically stuff was taken and not replaced before our arrival. Could be great but not for us.
The Wesley Palm Springs was an absolutely perfect choice for my stay in Palm Springs. A beautiful room and property, for a great price. The property is very well located - considering that you are driving around the town. The property is 10-ish units situated around a common pool, hot tub, fire pit, mini-golf green, games area... which is to say that the multitude of amenities for a hotel of this size was second to none. The pool and hot tub were great, although I occasionally saw other guests out there, it is fathomable that youd have it mostly to yourself, especially in the evening. Parking was available - it didnt strike me as having enough spots when I looked it up on google beforehand, but it indeed does.Access to the property and your room is via a code lock system - this system was fantastic, and a really nice touch as there was no need to remember extra keys/cards. Check-in was instant - you literally dont need to talk to anyone but can call if you have any issues. The two downsides to the property were 1. WiFI - some other reviewers mention this, it is 100% correct - couldnt get into the wifi at first, had to call Avantstay (the company that operates the property), but it was slow even after that. I struggled to make a facetime call several times, and to watch/stream videos - youd be mostly out of luck.2. There was no kettle - which would be nice considering there is a great tea selection
I went with my Mom and 2 daughters and stayed in the 1 bedroom with a full kitchen. I have to say I was extremely pleased with how clean the apartment was and it had plenty of room for the 4 of us. We did not use the kitchen this time however it looked as it the had everything we might need. Even had a barbecue by the pool and one on our back patio . The only complaint our daughters had was that the pull out couch mattress was wrapped in plastic. I would imagine to protect it from little ones sleeping on it. Their must be another solution ? The pool area was AMAZING!! Has everything we would want and more! The man that seemed to manage the place (Michael ) was the kindest and most helpful person. He even said he lives very close by so if we need anything we could call him. We used the jacuzzi at night and it was hot and bubbly like we would all expect one to be. Right across the street is a dry riverbed where my Mom and I walked in the morning along with many locals walking their dogs and just enjoying the beautiful weather. They have bikes you can take at any time as well. Next time!! I WILL definitely be back. 2 nights was not enough. Haha!
Loved the room, modern but yet still cozy. The staff was very friendly and professional. I accidentally left a lot of my belongings and they gathered all my items for me and returned them to me in a timely fashion. Thank you again!
Nice place close to downtown Palm Springs with a very walkable area. Has a low key vibe and everything looks well kept.
Amazing boutique hotel with a very experiential shared space. Customer experience was very responsive and made sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommended.
Cozy little place in the middle of the desert. Has that 80s vibe to it. Spacious rooms
I absolutely loved staying at The Wesley! It was an amazing experience. The decor and amenities were perfect. It was such a relaxing place to stay. However, my biggest issue was my rooms A/C never worked. Even after the guy came and looked at it, it never actually got fixed.I would have given 5 stars if the A/C was working properly.
Great place to stay check it out if you go to the Palm Springs area well worth it
This was a tale of two rooms. We pulled into Palm Springs late, ready to relax after a 4+ hour drive, and looking forward to some mid-century charm. After finding a parking spot in front of the outer wall, we input the first code to gain admission to this self service establishment. A second code unlocked the door to our room. What greeted us was certainly mid-century design and charm. Check. Then the general dinginess made itself known. When my wife pulled back the spread to find hairs on the sheet and pillow, proving the bedding had not even been changed, we called for help.Although we were just about ready to eat the cost and go elsewhere, another room was offered. This one had a better location- you could actually see the mountains as promised- and was spotless. We stayed and were very satisfied, especially as the Wesley is close to everything, and is a refreshing change from the sterile rooms found at most hotels. So be sure and ask for room 8, and avoid room 1, which is supposedly for guests needing accessible accommodations.Just remember, there is no on site management, and check that the room has been cleaned before you unpack.
The rooms are nice, but the mosquitos are out of control. We all get bit up each year we go. Wed consider finding a new spot in Palm Springs next year.
The hotel just cancelled our booking despite we paid for it. Noone picks up the phone email answer after one day .place not recommendable waste of money and time took me 3 hours on the phone and another 3 via email to cancel it. Get some stuff than tey agsin !i will never come back!
A nice experience. Very private and quiet. Interesting experience in that you are given door codes and simply show up and go straight to your room. It is clean and well organized, but a little impersonal. No maid service and you need to pay a cleaning fee - at least that was our deal. For the price I prefer a luxury hotel, but have enjoyed this experience.PS. This was the review that I wrote upon arrival and my phone was inadvertently signed on to another of my accounts. I tried to delete it but the system is not letting me. My updated review indicates a slightly different experience after staying here a couple nights.
The hotelstaff was friendly and the room itself was very clean
A true Palm Springs gem!!! Cant say enough good things about The Wesley. Amazing place amazing price amazing location! It literally made our trip to Palm Springs! My boyfriend and I were deciding between here and the Ace - so so happy with our decision! The studio rooms are amazing - furnished in a mid century modern style. The attention to detail was lovely and appreciated with almost every kitchen amenity you would need. We had a spacious private patio and grill off our room as well. The pool area was beautiful with a chill vibe - super relaxing! David and Doug are great people and super accommodating allowing us a late check out. Thank you David and Doug! Looking forwarding to staying again :)
Wow, what a sweet spot on the map! So glad we chose The Wesley. Very clean. Stylish retro BnB. Cement floors, so bring slippers! We will be back for another stay. Best to have a car. Quick drive to grocery and surrounding area.
A huge thank you to David for such a smooth reservation experience!I had the privilege of booking a room for my boss Renee and her partner Angie a couple of weeks ago. From what I heard, the Wesley was the PERFECT getaway and David was extremely accommodating. The decor is very stylish and they report that it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. David was also nice enough to deliver a bottle of champagne because he found out it was Angies birthday. I mean, talk about customer service! We will be spreading the word, David!Thank you so much for being so responsive during the reservation process as well. Hope to see you soon!
Adorable room with great decor. Really surprised by the huge private patio outside our backdoor. Pool area and games were perfect for this 10-unit resort.
This place is a nice retreat and has a relaxing atmosphere. Its got a great location and isnt crowded. The pool is a great size and it has a hot tub. Dont forget to use the rental bikes to explore Palm Springs. The rooms have everything you need including a grill, mini kitchen and coffee. Remember to use the large Simpsons donut in the pool.
Wow! Would definitely stay here again. Get the top floor apartment if poss.
Great room, cute mid century decor, our room had a full kitchen, great common area with pool, hot tub, cabanas, grill.
A nice place all in all, but not for me. I would not stay here again. It is definitely no frills... they basically give you one door code to get into the complex and another to get into your room - no staff to be seen the whole time. The room is basically a studio apartment, nicely furnished. It is clean and relatively-well kept up. The gear in the kitchen is well stocked, including a blender, utensils, glasses, dishes, and even spices. There is a microwave and toaster oven. And, there is a grill on the patio. However, since we eat out while on vacation, non of this is of much use.The biggest problem for me came to sleeping. I commonly have no trouble sleeping well, and sleeping in new places. But there there 2 factors in our room that robbed me of this privilege - which explains why I am writing this review at 3AM. The room has small windows high up that face the central pool and courtyard. Unfortunately, that area seems to be well lit, all night. This results in a fair amount of light coming into the room, that you have no control over. Second, and the big deal breaker, there is a gurgling / pipe noise that prattles on through the night. The randomness of it makes it like a torture. Just when you think it is stopping, here we go again. It is unacceptable. Maybe the experience is different in other flats...? For reference, we are staying in flat 2.This place is good for those who want to relax by the pool and BBQ, if you dont mind noise and light when you sleep. The bed is very comfortable and the lack of staff is interesting in that it is like staying at someones house. Something else to watch for is the reservation policy. We commonly book a place that seems interesting a few months out while still shopping around for a few days. Right after we booked this place our credit card was charged and we received an email stating it was non-refundable. Quite unusual especially given that it was over a month into the future. So, if the other reviews and this style of accommodation are your thing, give it a try. It is just not for me.
When I saw The Wesley Palm Springs I thought it was too good to be true. The place looked gorgeous in the pictures provided and the price was super affordable. It looked like the perfect Palm Springs/Coachella/Stagecoach getaway so of course it couldnt be real but it was real and more. David and Doug created the perfect desert oasis, its truly a work of art. We stayed in Suite #7 which had its own bedroom and bathroom, full kitchen, patio with grill and living room area. All that plus a shaded cabana and adjustable pool chairs to lay out in the sun. Just typing this out is making me miss it. I cant wait to return!
Very clean and modern mini-resort. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.
The Wesley is a fantastic boutique hotel with awesome relaxed vibes and very private and intimate
Neat and clean
Really sweet boutique hotel. Love the quaint, perfect surroundings.
A beautiful gem in the desert! Very comfortable, hip and fun decor - great staff and booking was super easy last minute! Highly recommend!
This place is amaaaaazingggggg!!! When we first saw it we thought it might be too good to be true! Its absolutely beautiful in and out! Attention to detail doesnt even begin to describe it. They literally thought of everything! The longer we stayed the more amazing little details we found. We were out by the pool where they have relaxing ambient music playing all day, we thought about putting some music of our own on and found speakers around the pool with a remote! All we had to say was of course! Everything we ever wanted would just appear exactly where we would want it. We spent quite a bit of time just talking about how awesome everything was. Literally every little thing is brand new and beautiful!David and Doug were awesome as well! Super friendly! If we needed help with anything all I had to do was text them and we would immediately get a response. They are staying there too so youll definitely see them but theyre happy to give you your space if you want some privacy. We also ended up hanging out with them in the hot tub. Felt like we were just hanging with friends even tho we just met them. The place is also in the perfect location! $5 uber ride and youre in the heart of it all. But the resort itself is quiet. They also provide bikes (of course they do). We took our dog for a beautiful bike ride around the neighborhood in awe of all the beautiful houses and landscaping. There was another couple there that said it only took them like 10 minutes to bike to the grocery store, all on a bike path too so youre not directly on the road. So convenient! We genuinely had the best time and were so impressed with everything! If youre considering staying here DO IT! You will not be disappointed!! We will definitely be back. Its our new favorite place!
Extremely the nicest place for comfort.
Stayed over night from being at Del Mar, California.
Pleasant.
