This park has a clean bathroom, well maintained/marked trails, and friendly staff. I had a great experience today hiking the Montara mountain trail and went to the top. It was cold, windy and foggy! Ill definitely be back.

There is a $6 parking fee to park inside the park, there is a shirt loop about 2-3 miles that gets you to a waterfall view point. We went there late summer so were not able to see any fall in action other than a few wet spot on the cliff. The hike has a fairly steep elevation for kids but it is definitely doable for 5 years old. One of the more interesting hikes that we have been on recently because of the elevation, winding course, and a beautiful view of Pacifica.

Very diverse county park on Pacifica. A handful of very diverse trails, from sort and easy to climbing 1600 feet in three miles (up to Montara Mountain). A couple large lawns and picnic areas. Flora and fauna are abundant. Great for solo hikes or outdoor time with the kids. Check website/call for seasonal hours, trail/facility closures. $6 parking fee.

A very nice park nestled in the hills above Pacifica, with a variety of trails passing through different types of forest and terrain with some lovely views.

Great views from all the trails, for now the trails are one waySometimes there are Mountain lion sightings.Most of the people wear their masks.

We tried one of the trails this weekend. It was a nice walk. Unfortunately, we were not be able to see the waterfall due to no rainfalls.

Nice clean trails. The parking lot is 6 dollars and right now the trails are one way. We did a 5 miles loop with 1,000 ft elevation. Perfect for beginner/intermediate. It gets really windy on some points so I recommend carrying a windbreaker.

Dusty. It has nice views and trails mostly in shadows. Family of deers is not afraid of people. But its really dusty.

So quite and clean place to relax and do hiking. A lot of high trees and green areas which so good to enjoy. I recommend this park for people. One more thing about it. You should have $6 cash as entry fee per vehicle.

Great place to hike, very smooth. parking is 6 dollars a vehicle but also plenty of parking outside of the premises. for me it’s best to come around 3 hours before sunset and you get the best scenic view

Really nice trails- we especially like the short loop of the Trout Farm and Brooks trails. This is also a nice place to have a get together BBQ, and it provides access to the Montara Mountain summit trail. Be prepared for some heat on summer days.

A true hidden gem in the Bay area. Eucalyptus groves, great picnic infrastructure, barely a soul around, amazing trails to EPIC VIEWS of the ocean and peninsula.Its one of the best parks in the Bay area. Serious.

There is a entrance fee for parking and dogs are not allowed.For a peaceful stroll or a strenuous but beautiful hike look no further than this gem nestled in the hills of Pacifica.

Air was clean and clear despite surrounding fires. One way for trails. Wish people can follow instructions.

A splendid day for a walk in our favorite park! The Rangers take great care of this park all the time!

There are some beautiful view points where you can see small towns and blue ocean.The trees in this place were unique because they had smooth trunks.We walked up Brooks Creek Trail and returned by going down Montara Mountain Trail. The view from the end of Brooks Creek Trail was so nice. I found a caution though, that I was in mountain lion territory. Some notices are written.There is a waterfall viewing point, but the staff said that is for a limited season only and we couldn’t see it that day.The vehicle entry fee is $6.

This place is totally a hidden gem. Beautiful scenery and easy hiking trails. There is a $6 parking fee so keep that in mind

Beautiful little valley park with several hikes up the hills with great views. The central path goes one mile into the valley, is mostly flat and made of gravel. Locals like to walk or jog here. In the evening you can often spot a herd of deer very close to the path.

Good trail for running and hiking. Footing is good, paths are clear and most importantly the views are spectacular! The elevation climb is a challenge but worth it.

Beautiful park, great for a morning hike. They even have tables and grills to make some bbq. They have a few tables first come first serve and also tables for big groups that you can rent.

This is a very nice park which several nice trails for kids. We took Trout Farm trail which is circular and it is less than a mile with a bit of lifting. There is also another one for kids: Brooks Creek Trail which is around 3 miles.

Good hike with nice views when its sunny

It was a super quite park with dear roaming in the brush. Theres also a bench up about a mile that lets you rest, while enjoying a nice view.

So close to beach beautiful little shops coffee shop there with out door seating restaurants close by including Nicks wonderful place to eat and has an ocean view Pacifica at its best

Moderate temperatures, friendly neighborhood, yet wonderfully wild and scenic. Challenging trails or casual strolls depending on fitness level of park visitors. Clean and functioning restrooms. Well maintained, and worth every penny of parking fee! Wildlife abounds, especially around the creek.

Took.the Montara mountain trail up and the Brooks Creek trail coming down and its a very nice and easy hike both ways. Beautiful views at the top and the waterfall and creek were nice even if they werent that impressive.There is a nice bench on Brooks Creek Trail in front of the waterfall but very few benches otherwise.

Lovely and accessible county park.

We sat at the top of the Montara Trail for a half hour, overlooking the fog which blanketed San Francisco and surrounding areas. We were right on the edge of this massive cloud, feeling the winds shift back and forth as the fog ebb and flowed over us. It was a magical experience.

A small park with easy trails. A great place for picnic with family and kids.Come here if you wish to encourage your kids to be outdoor. Make sure you find a good day to come as this place doesn’t have shade in the picnic area.Also you may want to check the availability of the picnic area as it needs to be booked in advance.Overall a very nice and quaint park to enjoy the sunshine and a little bit of trail walking.Pro Tip: Mori point is quite near so one can club this park with Mori Point which has great views and a beach.

Good variety of trails for different levels of walker/hiker, plus picnic/BBQ space. Nice visitor center with general information on flora/fauna of the area and a bit of history. Parking space is decent, but make sure to bring $6 cash exactly. If needed, though, there is street parking available in the neighborhood.

This is a great place to hike and run. The Hazelnut Trail offers majestic views of the Pacific Ocean. And there is also a trail that brings you up 1,900 ft above sea level to Montara Mountain. Careful on the trails though. There are a lot of exposed roots and thorny plants

Ive been to this Park many times before. Today my friends and I hiked the Hazelnut trail. Its 4.6 miles and a pretty easy hike with great views. The switchbacks make the uphill climb pretty easy.

Beautiful park. Great hiking trails (bikes in road only), picnic areas, lots of wildlife. No dogs allowed (even on leash) so you can see tons of deer, bobcat, fox. Good birding. Hidden treasure.

Its August, the grassy areas are dry and gopher hole riddled, so why mow the grass? Nothing but huge dust cloulds. I want to hike in that? Park still has tranquility.

The trail will present you beautiful views on clear days.Car entry fee is $6. You may as well park it in the neighborhood and just walk in to this State Park.I took the North Peak trail. It looks like not much people come to this Park.This was my first time here and it was cloudy most of the times. The view got covered at times. But I could still see the coast from various points on trail and the city underneath.On a hot day, I am going to suggest you to to start in the morning and you will end up hiking mostly in shade. You might get more sun after 12 on the trail.

Very nice well maintained park with very scenic hiking trails. Saw a couple baby deer, 2 geckos and a koala in a eucalyptus tree.

This place is huge, especially for a preserve park so nearby.

Good place to hike and see our Coastal wildlife. Abundant deer. Good variety of birds and a number of bobcats regularly frequent the trails.

Nice park. Best part it connects with montara hills and trails that lead to the beach. Long hike but worth it.

If you live in San Bruno, South SF or anywhere near by, this park is awesome!!!
