Good places for young people to visit and exercise. Some trails are climbing the hills, near the cliff to the ocean, not easy and dangerous to kids or senior people. Some trails are flat. The ocean view is so good. It is not far from the parking lot. The weather is always cool. Good place to hangout in the summer of the Bay area. However, I wish I can find a restroom in the trails.
In my opinion, one of the top 5 scenic hikes in Bay Area. We took the kids there and they had a great time. So many nice settings for taking photographs. Some portions are steep and sandy. Wear shoes with good grips. Parking is challenging during peak hours but plenty of space near the golf course 3-4 blocks from the entrance.
I was here on 5/21/2020I had no problem with the parking.Easy hike, pretty view of the ocean, a lot of rolling hills,It make the view more spectacular after I get to the top of the hill. Some high inclines, on edge of the cliff and steep made it more fun.A small steam of fresh water rundown from Sweeney Ridge to the ocean, make it more special. You can find them all in this trail.I will come back.
An easy trail to walk with family, but be prepared to encountered lots people, and parking maybe difficult. Nice ocean and golf course view. Flowers all over the mountain, very pretty. Better wear sturdy sneakers if you plan to walk to top of the mountain.
Nice trail and views. Fairly easy. Some rocky areas, but for the most part, pretty even and well paved.
Its a perfect beach for family. Mori point parking lot is not big one, mostly street side parking. Carry water with you. Make sure phone is with full battery. You cant stop taking pictures. Good to have quiet lunch while enjoying sea breeze. Wheel chair can go without any problem. Black sad add extra beauty to the beach. Majestic waves and cypress trees make you feel as if you are in monterey bay.
Went on a great hike here! It was a little late in the afternoon on a Sunday in November. The sun had already set behind the mountains when I arrived. I had just eaten a delicious bahn mi from Dinosaurs nearby, and I was ready to walk off some sandwich! The main walking path was nice and wide and relatively flat. There was plenty of space to maintain distancing from others during COVID-19 pandemic. I was surprised how crowded the area was. There are other smaller trails that intersect at different places in the hills. Overall a very nice time.
Love the short walk from the parking lot. The view slowly opens up as you walk towards the entrance way. The first thing you see is the swing that overlooks toward the wide ocean. Its breathtaking!
What a beautiful place to hike! Very calm & bustling. View to Pacific Ocean is really really fascinating. Enjoy your sunset.
Nice hike spot with fantastic views and a unique landscape. Bring water and food with you, and prefer hiking boots if you wanna do any of the harder hikes. There is also the option to not hike and head straight to the beach.
The trail to access the beach is very nice and an easy walk for little ones and the elderly as well. This is a great location to watch the sun go down.
My backyard...it’s a paradise for sure. Incredible running walking trails ...views to die for!
Wonderful trails, plural, with excellent views. We went in July and 90% of people were wearing masks and physical distancing. Trail is cool because you can keep it easy or hike up some steep hills. We logged in 6 miles in 3 hours, but time went really fast. Best tobpark by Pacifca Pier and walk over.
Mori point beach area is a unique one in the coastal line that attracts people. On clear days you can experience the stunning ocean views and great walk or hike on various trails around. If you take hike through the hilly trail, the beauty of the place will engross with spectacular visuals of the placewhere high vertical cliffs and rocks stand enduring against wild ocean waves. Surplus of visual treats!
Amazing hike on the pacific coast. Make sure there is good cloud cover as the hike is wide in the open. My dog loved the place all the way
Wonderful sunset point. Black sand beach is beautiful. On the down side, it is not green enough, I would have loved to see more trees.
Amazing view. A very wide trail i.e. covid safe. Foggy. Some dogs were not on leash. Flat trail for an easy walk.
This hike is beautiful! The view of the sunset is so magical, I could cry.The hike itself is not very hard but the views are worth the trip alone. I would recommend coming early am for sunrise to avoid crowd or just before sunset. There is a hidden trail to the Beach thats pretty intense, please do not attempt unless you are an experienced climber.
Easy and nice walk. Take the steps up to find a nice sunset view point. Walk the other direction to reach Pacifica pier. Lovely walk
A beautiful, wonderful beach with amazing weather, calm winds, and plenty of residential parking. The beach is long and has a wonderful trails that allows people to really spread out. Even when an abundance of humans are president at the park, the park is so large that everyone quickly spreads out and it seems like an isolated, secluded experience. Looking forward to go back to Mori Point Beach in the near future, as long as the weather stays great.
Easy & beautiful hiking place!
I used to come here to clear my head every Sunday. You can do the leisure beach walk or you can hike up the trail. Very easy hike
Beautiful views, beautiful trails, wonderful place to take the kids.
It is good place for easy walk with kid.
Really great hiking and beach. I have no idea how crowded it gets normally, but during COVID-19, it was a great escape. The traffic getting there wasnt bad like Half Moon Bay gets. It is extremely easy to social distance. Aside from the path/trail youre like social distancing at 100ft not 6. The path in is wide. We went on a very nice day, low wind and about 85F. It was perfect! It gets crowded for parking, but plenty of parking down the streets - the extra walk doesnt hurt!We just walked the path to the beach, but theres trails up the hill which seems to have a great view.I noticed orange cones on the sides of the street, so clearly its annoying for residents. Please be sure to be courteous and not take their parking spots! Im sure you can relate if you live in the Bay Area
Public parking is tight and limited, but its worth the hassle. Very picturesque.
In these times we are living, good to have a place to just vent
Amazing views, wildflowers and birds to observe along the way. Offers a variety of trails for all difficulty levels. Very limited parking, can be crowded on weekends. Only 1 restroom which didnt seem to work.
Absolutely beautiful beach! You start by taking a trail that divides into multiple avenues depending on how strenuous of a hike you wanna take. The more difficult the hike, the BETTER the view of the beach. Once you finish whichever trail you choose, the beach is absolutely breathtaking. Cold, but breathtaking.
There are beautiful views. Parking can get together but I have areas been able to find a spot.
Usually cooler than in SF area. I like this place. Not very steep nerdy hiking trails.
Nice hikes and ocean views within the city. Children friendly, although we had to occasionally carry our three year old. Parking is limited and you may have to wait, depending on the day. The beach itself is not too clean, with little sand, but fine for stroll. Many folks you run into tend to be quite friendly. You may run into occasional dogs without leash, and some uncollected litter along narrow paths. Overall, an excellent place that can provide relaxation, exercise, and is family friendly!
Beautiful location with great hiking! Well worth a visit! Also, the hills make for a nice way to get the heart rate up.
Love taking my two young children on this hike. Very family friendly!
Hike here on Sunday around 10am it wasnt as crowded then. On the way back from loop ther was more people., but everyone very respectful keeping distance and mostly with mask. Views are great and weather by the bay couldnt be better.
Beautiful place. Lots of trails and it takes you right out to the water as well. We loved it and will come back again!
Watching the whales. So nice. Weather nice and cool. Must have seen 7 or 8 pods of whales in 2 hrs going North. Fun
God made some beautiful things this place is one
Mori Point is a bit busy but beautiful place in Pacifica. The views of the Pacific ocean is like stumbling into infinity. There is a black sand beach (I didnt know there is one in Bay area ;)) which is awesome. For hiking its 2.5 mile round loop, but it connects to the Pacific coastal trail which means you may do as much of it as you want. This place does get crowded I felt, which is concerning especially during these times.
Love this place for the views, parking can be challenging but don’t forget to stop by the swing for an instagram moment, and don’t forget it’s always windy. Good access to the beach
A very scenic trail along the coast with good elevation and breathtaking views. Not difficult at all
Neighborhood parking that is kind of hard to find. Hike is beautiful. Definately worth the parking struggle.
Use Mori point trail head at the Moose lodge. Restrooms avaliable. Better space distancing from other people.
Great park with beautiful view and hiking trails. Some hiking trails are extremely steep though, making it difficult for a casual walk.
Great hiking trails for beginners and intermediate hikers. The last part of the trail where you climb up hill is tough but doable.
Lots of beautiful trails, bluffs, a beach and best of all a swing facing the sea ️️️
Awesome view point.
A bit windy usually, but great place to visit and have a short walk.
Perfect small coastal hike strewn with California flora and seaside cliffy landscape.
Whats not to love about this place? As youre walking on the dirt trail looking out at the Pacific ocean as wildlife is out there just doing its thing. From whale washing dolphins to hang gliders and everything else going on. Its just a beautiful walk or bike ride.
First time hiking with my dog here. Amazing and breathtaking!
Its a very beautiful place.. the place is calm and refreshing.. would love to visit again n again
A wide variety of hiking trails with great views up and down the coast.
This is by far my favorite place to get in a quick hike in the San Bruno area. If you hike up to the next cliff past Mori Point, the views are incredible. It’s great during the day or for a sunset.
It can get a bit busy here, but it is a beautiful place to come and enjoy the ocean.
Nice views, cliffs and the ocean. The hike to the peak is steep and can be challenging for some, not the worst tho.
Ideal place to hike, climb, dog walk, and hang at beach, watch the waves and, in spring, enjoy the yellow mustard flowers and variety of wild flowers.
Great easy trails and beautiful views.
Best place for a day out
Beautiful views and short hikes
One of my favorite places to get outdoors in SF! In summer it’s usually foggy but the flowers are stunning. In winter, it’s clear and the water is gorgeous. Either way, lovely views and great for walking. Parking is usually pretty easy. Bring a jacket though, cause it’s really windy by the cliffs.
You may like it better than I did if youre more of a beach person
Sweet spot to pull off and catch a breathtaking view!
Fun trails and newer renovated yearly blooms. Very interesting history to read and a great spot to whale, shark, porpoise, dolphin and wild birds watch.
A nice hiking area along the coast. A few different trails that either climb up the hills along the coastal cliffs or follow the cliff edge. On a clear day there are some great coastal views from atop the hill.
Coastal hike with excellent views . Hike and beach run is why I go. You may bring your pets...be prepared for a workout...
Quiet and clean with beautiful views. Great for a short hike or walk.
Outstanding views of the most beautiful coast in the whole world! Insane Cliff-sides and blue waves crashing on the rocks! Amazing hikes looping up and down the coast!
Nice view with beach, easy trail, open space for hiking and biking. relatively crowded, hard to find parking
Nice trail to the beach for walking or biking. I will take the trail up the hill next time. There should be a great view at rhe top.
Horrible spot. Don’t go here.
Beautiful view, takes around 15 minutes fromthe parking lot to get here but it’s worth it!
Quick and easy hike with incredible views!
If you have binoculars bring it. Humpback whales and dolphins sightings. Seals often rest on sandy shores so as migratory birds. I seen red tail hawks vs raven it’s like an air show. I seen coyote looking for wild brown rabbit.Multiple hiking trails from easy to strenuous.
Love it here! Walk to great views, hike up steeper slopes, or casually walk along the beach. Outdoor options for anyone!
Great spot for coastal walks and moderate hikes, super dog friendly and comes complete with beautiful ocean views. Even the unmaintained trails were easy to walk through with the pooch
A great walk with amazing view points. Less crowded place, be with yourself and nature when you visit Mori Point.Missing some basic facilities near the view points. So make sure you are not too far from the parking. Also, not a lot of parking space available.
Epic views of the ocean. Go here in the spring when the wild flowers are in bloom. Note there are some stairs to hike up to get to the Vista point.
Great views and awesome trail thats not too difficult or long.
Great place for a walk or short hike. Beautiful views!
Amazing! Parking can be challenging.
A vast network of hiking trails with varying levels of challenges well worth your time and efforts to capture breathtaking views of the coastline. I even saw a whale off the coast. Thank goodness the trails are very clean and people respect the areas. It was moderately crowded but still plenty of room to allow some quiet solitude when you want it.
I have visited this place twice, and on one occasion saw a bobcat, and on another occasion saw whales. It is a very short but steep walk from the parking lot to the top of the point. It is also a great place to bid watch and see wildflowers in the spring and summer.
Beautiful Scenery, Lots of Trails
Difficult trails throughout. Be prepared for rigorous elevation.
Loved the cool breeze and walk to the beach with my family
This hike is gorgeous, especially in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. Not a strenuous hike, but might be too much for young children or anyone with limiting health conditions. The trail can be muddy after it rains.
Lovely area to walk around and enjoy the views.
Gorgeous view of the spectacular California coast.
Super pretty. Just awash with people but cant blame this place for being so beautiful.
Visit to this place was a random selection from Google Maps and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Saw few surfers. Clean and well maintained Old Mori Trail. Didnt encounter snakes but its a habitat for the San Francisco Garter Snake, especially Sharp Park.
Great place to view Pacifica and Marin in the background
Great place for a family hiking. Not crowded. Easy parking.
Great views. Very good place for walking dogs. Has both paved and unpaved paths. There are many paths on the hills which make for some good exploring. There is also a small beach nearby.
Lots of trails for every type of hiker. Gorgeous views of the ocean. Stroller friendly on some of the trails, and easily navigable for little ones.
Very nice perfect view of the ocean I recommend anyone to watch a sunset from here.
Beautiful place to go for a walk, you have trails that go through the mountains beautiful views of the ocean, beach and boardwalk with that fresh cool and clean sea breeze.
Im surprised how people are still going to the beaches in San Mateo County and not being given a citation/$1000 penalty/6 months imprisonment if you dont belong to 5 miles radius of the area. Be careful visitors!!
Beautiful view love the walk just needs a bathroom at the bottom (both my kids **I have to pee)
