Only learned of this amazing bit of local history on F.B. several months ago. I attended tour and high tea held during the holidays. Amazing experience! Docents were wonderful and high tea was very special. I understand they only offer high tea on one Sunday in December, but hold many other tours and events throughout the year. Ill be back - so much to see! Well worth a visit.

Great place to visit. We were part of a music concert, which was fun. We were terrible but thanks to talking the audience into a sing-along, they applauded!

Castle in Pacifica! If thats not cool,...

This is a cool Castle to visit, its like visiting the past in the the 1900. The author gave a nice story of Sams Castle. We will come and visit again sometimes in the future.

Its a private house. You need to make a booking to go in.

Beautiful castle with a beautiful view. Doesnt seem to have regular hours though so we werent able to go inside.

Lovely tour and interesting history.

I was very disappointed with the tour and the cost of $30 per person was too much. It seemed as if the gentleman who was showing us around the castle and was an interior decorator was more impressed with the work he did with curtains and other items in the castle. Also, his nonchalant attitude and description of Sam and his poor taste and what he should have done and what they threw out was pretty much opinion and not historical background. The lady who did history was very effective and seemed to know a lot and was good. I also think that this whole castle idea is a hoax--it is a house on a hill in Pacifica that may or may not have had ghosts and vandalism, all of which was quite common in its time.Fortunately, I was with a very good group of people and we managed to have a delightful dinner at Nicks in Pacifica and enjoyed the rest of the day after the tour.Dont waste your time or money on Sams Castle!!!
