Pedro point is a fantastic spot if you love moderate hikes but want a beautiful view of the coast. Came before noon and was met with a thick dense fog which did prevent us from seeing further along the coastline as we would have liked but closer towards the afternoon, the fog started clearing. Beautiful views that I would highly recommend checking out. I would recommend checking the weather forecasts before arrival if you want to be absolutely certain about visibility. Plenty of free parking in the community nearby with a short easy walk to the trailhead near ACE parking lot. The Devil’s Slide Trail North parking lot is extremely limited in size and is almost always filled.

This was a beautiful walk, with a refreshing blast of wind at the top of the hill (after walking along the path through berry bushes and shrubbery).

Fun hike that can be a little challenging especially on a foggy day.

This isn’t a hiking trail. It is a dead end road with no parking and although there is a pretty view from the end of the road, there isn’t anywhere to hike, just steep cliffs. To get to the actual hiking place you must drive further down HWY 1 to parking lots at either end of the Tom Lantos tunnel.

Beautiful place, incredible views

Incredibly beautiful views. Magnificent weather and friendly people that live nearby. Conveniently have available businesses and public restrooms available and parking space was readily available. Moderately clean area. Dogs allowed if you have a leash. Would definitely recommend visiting and I will be returning soon for some surfing!

Really scenic and good hike. Some really steep hills but really mind refreshing views. There are lots of ways to get to the park. There is an area where you can also find bathrooms and water fountains.

Super easy to access once you enter the parking lot, which is free. Also great spot to watch the sunset depending on cloud cover.

Lovely perfect dry climate changed early spring-ish day. Visability all the way to the Cliff House in San Francisco at Lands End, the Mount Tam observatory, and Point Reyes.

Pedro Point is a fairly easy hike up from the beach. Great views all around and a great way to see the larger Pacific coast of the Bay Area peninsula.I visited and had a good time just people watching (lots of surfing in the nearby cove). Definitely a great spot for dogs, or anything that likes to chase tennis balls and chew on sticks, such as children.

Short hike with the breathtaking view of Pacific. There are two trails to reach Pedro Point. One is S Ridge Trail and another is Arroyo Trail. S Ridge trail is steep but safe. As Arroyo trail seems like less traveled because there are poison oaks and dangling roots all the way.

Not as scenic as I would have liked but still some really neat areas to wander around.

Beautiful place if you are looking for a nice place to take a date, friend of if you are visiting in the area . It is right off the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Just south along the coast on the Highway 1 from Beautiful San Francisco West Coastal front . South from the San Francisco Zoo. Many scenic views along this route . If you keep going down that road on Highway 1, you will end up at beautiful Santa Cruz

The view is unbelievablly good!!!! Probably my best in the bay area.However, there is only a few parking places and not much Uber goes by here. I guess one must try their luck to see this great view.One lucky thing that the parking has some space to wait for other cars to get out.. I waited for 30 min to park but was worth the wait!

Great place to hike with its fantastic views of Pacificas Pedro Point.Theres parking at the tunnel parking lots. The area has several trails with the South Ridge Trail at the entrance with a kiosk and farther north to the Arroyo Trail which links to the Middle Trail.The Pedro Point Headlands stewardship program is a volunteer initiative to preserve and restore this priceless open space. It is overseen by the Pacifica Land Trust in partnership with the Pedro Point Community Association and made possible by a stewardship grant from the California Coastal Conservancy.

May sound weird but I visited this spot just to see a dead whale washed up on the rocks. The nearby beach looked nice and the cliff gave a good view.

The fog was like something out of a horror movie, and the silence yawned between the crashes of waves far below. I found and kept three pieces of shattered car reflectors. A good day.Does anyone read these? I dont know.

Have some pretty bouijee family here so I have the pleasure of visiting at least once a year. Sights are beautiful, taco bell on the beach... just be warned sand is pretty rough.

Very out the way in the cuts kind of place. Tucked off at the end of Pacifica right before highway 1 hits the mountains going south. Gotta love Pacifica.

Amazing hiking place, gorgeous vistas !!!, Used to be the main highway 1 now its a park. One can walk along the coast and see beautiful view of the Calif coast. Can be a bit chilly, bring a light jacket.

A great place to hike with trials that are not to long in length and with great scenery of the coastline. Mostly an out and back trail but there are two trails that go to Pedro Point and return so you can hike it as a loop if you like. Great viewpoints at end of trail of the town of Pacifica and Pacifica Beach below. The surrounding hillsides along the coast are also visible and make the hike even more enjoyable.

Whoa, I had not been down Highway 1 for a hella long time and I was like what the Hedgehog, theres a giant freaking Viaduct and new tunnels going into the mountain! Me and my girlfriend kind of stumbled on Pedro Point by accident, looking for a hiking trails in Pacifica. And holy moly, they closed off Devils Slide! Now its a hiking trail.Uh, its probably been there for a while but it was news to me. It was a beautiful summer day and the fresh Sea Breeze coupled with the smell of the brush foliage smelled like sweet ambrosia. Were lucky we with there when we did because Within an hour the fog rolled in and we couldnt see a damn thing. What an amazing place, especially if youre into geology or the Valiant Structural Engineering try on the part of Cal Trans to keep that Road open. Sheesh, theyll never get that money back!

Good place to stop and over look at the coastline

One of the oldest neighborhoods in Pacifica with wide assortment of houses, some old with a lot of character, some new and spectacular, theres also a couple of great overlook spots where you can get a close up look at Pedro Point and the old little cabins in Shelter Cove, where the Ocean Shore Railroad once began it treacherous trip up cliff along Devils Slide! A lot of steep roads to walk up and down, a great place to walk around!

Great place to surf if your a noob. Plenty of sharks and underwater boulders to keep you company. Bring your wavestorm, waist leash, and paddle to really shred this spot. Dont forget your binoculars to spy on the shelter cove residents as they commit strange acts of awkwardness in there secluded locale.

Point Pedro is a beautiful trail by the Pacific. It is not too long but some parts are fairly steep and strenuous. The views close to the peak are breathtaking. If the weather is nice parking can be tricky. Make sure you have layers and sunglasses.

Once in a lifetime experience at least once if not as many times as possible gorgeous are in the world

This summer 2017 a lot of work has been done on the trails to improve them. I have seen bulldozers at work here. And volunteers are busy removing nonnative species, and replanting native species. Great views on a clear day when you can even see the Golden Gate Bridge and Point Reyes to the north, as well as Shelter Cove 600 feet below.
