This is one my favourite ride in Magic Kingdom, aside Big Thunder Mountain. When in the caves, the story is amazing. The setting is also outstanding as well, as you can see the whole environment of the animals. My favourite part is the drop down, as you get wet and it is very high speed. Splash Mountain is an astonishing ride that I will always love.

Truthfully, its pretty hard not to like this ride. Whats better on a hot day than a ride through a cool (both in terms of climate and style) show of Brer Rabbit and friends, followed by a big splash of water at the end.Theres been a lot of concern about the storyline here and how it stems from a time in America when racial beliefs were totally different. I dont actually see how that feeds into a rabbit, fox, bear and numerous other animals tease, capture and evade each other being in need of replacement.Knowing that its only a matter of time before this disappears, however, I wanted to ride it at least one more time. Glad I did. Even with the social distancing requirements, the line moved fairly quickly. Of course, with the way that they load the logs, they are limited to one group at a time, so it will move even more quickly once the COVID crisis is gone.If you havent seen it, hurry. Youre running out of time. It is based on the Song of the South, which you also cant see anymore. It details the life of Brer Rabbit and how Brer Fox and Brer Bear are always scheming to catch him and cook him up. You see one escapade after another along the path of the ride, culminating in the big drop down into the Briar Patch where you are likely to get wet.All in all, a great ride, with a cute story and theme. Hopefully one that can stick around for some time yet.

There is height restriction of 40” and above. They will do rider swap if you and your partner want to take turns while one of you take care of younger once. Go on this ride when there is 70F and above as you may feel cold water uncomfortable

There is something very special about Splash Mountain. Its like your perfect water log flume ride. Just from the start out in the queue line waiting and checking out the scenery around you... Once you board your log, you take a trip through the Briar Patch with Brer Rabbit and all his friends. Its such a great little story all about the movie Song of the South. And then the ending comes and you drop down a nice 75 feet to the bottom and get a little wet. And then you have an ending scene with all the animals. Just a great ride all together. Use a fast pass. Always an hour or so line.

Absolutely worth the wait. We had fast pass so didn’t wait that much but it’s worth standing in line if you don’t get fast pass. Its a good ride, and a decent log flume, but it could really use an update & some maintenance. All of the plants on the upper outside scene areas have died & not been replaced, and some of the surfaces of the animatronic characters have begun to crack & split. Not a big deal, really, I doubt any riders under 30 know the characters outside of this ride anyway.Perhpas the addition of some sprayers could be cool, pun intended. Khali River rapids has elephants that spray, controlled from the exit bridge. Hint, hint...The waiting area is thankfully well-shaded, and eventually air-conditioned. Theres an AED near the water fountains, which are refrigerated, and refreshingly chilled, just like all the fountains at Epcot.Theres even a tiny play area for tiny people at the rides exit.Tall rider warning: limited leg room. If youre over 62 be aware, you may have issues.

Wow, What a great ride. The log flume ride seats four groups of two passengers in a row. Each row now has a lap bar. If you sit in the front you will get wet as water splashes over the top. You also will get wetter on the right or the left. Although both sides get pretty wet. With the hot sun you dry off pretty quick so it actually feels good to get a little wet. The song is infectious and the anamatronics are charming. There are three small and one very big 50 foot drop. It is a great ride not to be missed.

It is utterly weird, and a little cringey, that one of the most beloved rides at todays Walt Disney World is an adaptation of the memory-holed Song of the South... an adaptation from the 1990s, no less! But, to be fair, the ride is based on the animated segments of the movie, which are pretty inoffensive. Anyway, its a damn good ride in and of itself: a lavish musical audio-animatronic dark ride combined with a log flume. For a ride with a thrill element, the experience is unusually long. The fact I always enjoy surprising people with is that the final drop really isnt that big: its 50 feet, pretty typical for an amusement-park log flume and dwarfed by most big roller coasters. But the ride does such a great job of building it up that it seems like some gigantic, terrifying plunge.

This ride is definitely a FastPasser, with its high wait times of 90-160 minutes. The ride itself is actually refreshing, and it gives riders a break from the sun. The ride teases the riders of the infamous drop, which is overwhelming at first. This ride is probably the longest ride in Disney World, at about 5-7 minutes.

It only takes one ride employee to ruin a day. My niece and I got a fast pass with our family for Splash Mountain. She was wearing her bathing suit top and Bermuda shorts. Shes twelve, btw. And no one stopped us on the way in.Now I understand that shes supposed wear a shirt. NOW.But when he told us, his remark was with a huge attitude and he said, This is Magic Kingdom, not a water park. To you this may not be a big deal. But we asked if we could put her in a colored poncho, because its like a lot of the clothes Ive been seeing. He said no.With an huge attitude.I understand having a bad day. I work in retail. Under no circumstances do you take that bad day out on a child. The experienced ruined the whole day. May be silly to you but my niece took it seriously.

One of the more popular rides in the Magic Kingdom. Tucked away in the far corner of the park there usually isn’t a long wait to ride Splash Mountain. If you time your visit here for a time when most people are watching one of the parades the lines are short enough that you can pretty much get off and get back off again. If you haven’t ridden it before and you are with some experienced riders don’t listen to them when they tell you to sit in a certain row so you won’t get wet: it is almost a certainty that they are funnin you.

It is a good story and not just a simple single drop ride, but of course the large drop at the end is best. You will get wet on this ride, front probably gets the wettest.
