Excellent updated modern library meets historic monument. Very much in the spirit of this historic town and nestled in the middle of the historic neighborhood. Plenty of local museums within walking distance and directly across from the oldest operational firehouse west of the Mississippi River. Concerts in the park and a splash pad in the summer and lots of shaded grass to read away the hours under. Not a lot of designated parking, but parking is welcome along intersecting neighborhood streets.
Its a nice park for a quick walk. Watch for poison oak; its everywhere.
We live here! How could we not love it? Beautiful library, great splash-pad (in the summer), and multiple playgrounds in the area make this an easy favorite for our whole family.
Best library we have ever been to. Playground is simple yet fun, and the splash park is perfect for little ones in the summertime...not too chaotic.
Library/park. Great location. Pretty. Useful
Beautiful outdoor area around the excellent OC library. Good place to take kids as there are ground fountains to play in on hot days. There are sometimes free concerts as well. Very pleasant little slice of Oregon City
My favorite library with a nice park next door for the kids to go with it!

Great place for the kids to run off some steam.
A place that truly cares about its communities welfare well-being and just all-around comfortability with A+ attitudes only kind of attitude love it :-)
Fun spray park for kids and a play structure
Great park with splash pad during summer months. Great lawn for shade tree reading.
Visited the OC library for the first time. Such a delight and we got cards.
The fountain is so fun to play in! And such a variety of displays!
Great place in the summer to cool off!
This is a great place to take your kids for a fun day. Take them to singer hill Cafe across the street for lunch and enjoy the park and library after! I love how much work they have put into fixing up the area.
I come to the park mainly to go to the Library which is located on the premises but the park that surrounds the Library is a lovely local neighborhood park suitable for families. They have some swings and a slide for the kiddies and the paving surface around this playground equipment is a rather unusual material, somewhat cushioned - it almost feels like cork making for softer landing for kids coming off the swings and slide. They also have a lovely self controlled fountain in the courtyard; this is a large circular shallow bowl like depression with a drain which is a perfect place to let kids play in the splashing water on hot days. Parents not wanting to join the kids in the water can still get a little heat relief just sitting around the perimeter of the fountain to visit or read a book while the kids play. To top it off, the rest of the park is covered with a lawn under a canopy of tall trees that provide shade to sprawl under. Altogether, this little neighborhood park that occupies only a square block near downtown Oregon City is a lovely asset to the community.
Love the antique building and inside expansion of the library. The playground is a nice touch. If it gets too crowded, kitty corner is another small park with another playground to take kids too.
Whole City block devoted to the library. Excellent addition to the Andrew Carnegie donation.
Nice place to hang out
The splash park is wonderful! The library is super packed with things for the whole family.
Delightful community gathering place with our library and a spray park for the younger kids!

Such a cute little park.
Nice place to relax with little ones.
Very peaceful feel, nice cool shade.
I have always loved this place. I grew up in the area and would visit as often as I could. I was sad when they closed it down and opened up by Thriftway. I was thrilled when they moved it back. Since the new improvements and addition to the childrens area it has become our favorite library. We go in the summer to get away from the heat and check out our books and play. Then when it cools down in the evening we go play in the splash pad and mini parks out front. I love that they also have a playground for smaller kids across the street. They always have great kids activities. We love the baby sign language, Lego Saturdays, art Wednesday and anything else we can do. It is right off the trimet, so the kids and I try to take the bus as often as possible, if not there is usually parking around the neighborhood, just watch the signs.
What a great place for kids! They love the tall slide, swings, and splash area. Then go inside the library for more fun.
Fun, entertaining for little people to all ages!!!

It is a great place to take your kids and family. There is a library near by and you can do some book shopping and internet browsing as well. It is all new remodeled and up to date.
Fun water feature!
We come here weekly and love it. In the summer the fountain is available to play in and the grass behind the library has awesome shade from the giant trees lining the street. Plus my child loves rolling down the hill! It is nice being able to get two things down in one trip, library books and park visit. :)
Very pretty and a nice walk. Its flat which is nicer for people who have trouble with anything sloped. Good for bikes.
