The feeling I got when dealing with the staff was like I stopped by a friends house. The staff I delt with seemed to be eager to share knowledge with me. I had questions about reloading, mainly about gun powders. After some interesting conversation and few laughs, I was up to speed and confident I was on the right track.

They have the best selection of reloading components and tools anywhere I have seen. Very helpful and friendly. They also have many reasonably priced new and used guns, and some really nice gun safes.

They have always been very nice and helpful. Usually stocked up but slim pickings lately thanks 2020. They carry a variety of products and are looking to help you out with any questions.

Experienced employees help me out when I asked them about getting into reloading ammunition options. They showed me books explained the equipment and the cost, share their own experience. They have a great selection of firearms, accessories cases, and safes. I would definitely speak to the older gentlemen at the back counter

Im embarrassed for the owner of this store. There was an older gentleman in the store that talked to me after I was there for about 10 minutes and wanted to be certain that I was helped. I was very thankful for his opinions BUT... when I walked into the store that day there was a guy at the front desk rambling on about something with the manager over a sale of some sort and he was being loud and annoying. He made me very uneasy from the start. I was at that shop for better than 30 minutes and the guy wouldnt shut up. He was yelling accross the store and that is when I decided to walk out. As I was walking out he said: Id offer to help, but you were all over the store and if you didnt see, we dont have it. I appreciate the fact that he saw me wandering about with offering assistance prior, but that is probably because he was too busy yelling at people that didnt seem taken aback by his behaviors. Guns are priced decent and I still want to go back and see the Raging Hunter to see if it fits well in my hands or not, but I cant see myself walking into another situation like that with someone that has so many guns around him all the time.....

This place has the nicest employees of any gun store Ive ever been too. I bought a new car for my wife, and didnt take into consideration how much tax and license would be. So I had to sell one of my safe queens. I just needed a quick $500 so I wouldnt have to dip into my savings. Every place in town lowballed me, and was rude to some degree. But guns unlimited made a very fair offer, and made me feel appreciated as I was selling a very nice gun. Then I started browsing, and their prices are comparable to most online prices. Everything was atleast 10% cheaper than chain store pricing. Im a SIG collector, and they have a great selection of SIG products. You can believe that any firearm purchases I make in the future will be at guns unlimited. Great selection and service...I wish I could give a 6 star review...

I’ve both purchased new and used pistols from Guns Unlimited. The owner is a very nice man. The employees are extremely knowledgeable about any and all Firearms. I’ve never had a bad experience at this store and they will deal with you a little on price. They’re usually less expensive then the big sporting goods stores.

They are quick to point out that they are actually quite limited. No AR-15 or AR-10 parts or accessories. Looks like a gun themed yard sale inside. The prices seem quite high based on looking at the ammo and a few scopes Im familiar with. Do not recommend.

Didnt have a personal in-store experience as I only visit a store if the customer service ratings are high but clearly this store lacks customer service. I gave it three stars after visiting the website to find their inventory doesnt provide much variety. No double-action handguns and small variety for semi automatic handguns. Plus the prices are pretty high. If you want multiple options to choose from, this store doesnt have or offer.

Asked a few simple questions. Not only was the staff member (middle aged short balding man) completely rude and scoffed at my questions, but also was not knowledgeable about the guns I referred to in general. There are a ton of other options in the area that provide the same services, along with a much more knowledgeable and personable staff. I wont be returning.

In 2011, a friend I met while I was recovering from a back injury suggested I go see a shop an old friend of his owned. this was during an ammo production lag. the guys here were good to me, helped me out, even being in a chair, showed me anything I asked about and were brutally honest with their opinions on guns, even admitting bias over the brands. they got me started with a few higher quality reloading supplies, and I have always felt like I should go back. having to rent a car to drive 2 hours to see the city, let alone the shop has been a problem. still, cant say these guys arent fair, well stocked and well versed on what is on the racks

Worst experience ever. Knew exactly what I wanted when I went in to the store. Went to buy $1000 rifle for my wifes birthday. The first salesmen was great. It was all downhill after I paid for the rifle. I went in 2 more times to pick up the rifle, after I called them checking in on it. Both times they were extremely rude, waited 45 min and never got the rifle after 2 weeks of waiting. Finally decided to return it and buy online through buds gun shop. $700 for the exact same rifle, brand new, shipped and transfer fee paid. Delivered and picked up within 3 days. Still didnt make it for her birthday but Im glad I gave my business to the better company.

I wandered in looking for 45 long Colt ammunition and ended up looking at AR15s with salesman Dick Lupardus. Dick certainly knows his weapons and ARs. He was very meticulous in explaining the differences as l looked at a Colt then a Smith & Wesson. I havent held a Colt M16 since 2001, when I retired from the US Army, so it was an absolute thrill to hold a mirror image of one 17 years later! But the S&W, at 1/2 the price, was loaded with features the Colt didnt have. I was finally able to pull myself away and found ammo prices very comparable, if not cheaper than the big name stores. After some research, Ill definitely return to Guns Unlimited!

Good store to visit and browse but Buds Gun Shop Online pricing beats Guns Unlimited pricing by hundreds on any gun. I usually just check out the guns in person before I purchase online. No tax...free shipping... money saved. Staff here thiough has always been friendly to me.

Went there this evening looking for a holster- Craig, the employee that helped me, not only gave me advise and comparisons of a few brands and types, but also took a gun (empty of course) off the shelf to try inside the holster so I could get the full feel of them and compare. Very nice employee, not pushy at all. The price was also cheaper than other local stores and even cheaper than amazon.

Great on service most of the time has reloading power instock. Not the best in prices for new or used guns. But the do carry a lot.

I like supporting local businesses when I can, so I decided to price check some items I am going to buy. Im always greeted when I walk in, which is always a plus. However there was obviously an internal quarrel evident by several employees muttering about each other as they fronted shelves and such. Whatever, it happens. However, each time Ive wanted to buy things here, I would either be paying more than anywhere else Ive looked or settling for an item they had versus the specs I really wanted. For as much ammo as they do stock, the calibers and grains for both rifles and handguns I want are not carried. I dont think my tastes in 9mm and 7.62 are very exotic. Overall, their range of hunting supplies, targets, cases, and guns are decent. Maybe one day that certain item will be just right - Ill keep an eye out.

When its time to buy a new gun I always Check Scheels, Cabelas & GU. Sometimes I end up buying from GU. They have a good gun selection & prices. Their ammo seems to be high priced & old stock. I have been a customer for 12+ years, It seems to be hit or miss on the salesmen, years ago it was always great recently it seems to be going way downhill. Back in the day I bought most of my decoys from them but they seem to be marketing mainly guns & ammo now. I wish they would run some honest in store sales specials from time to time not just the old outdated stuff they set outside. Also read their return policy BEFORE you buy.

Selection is fine, they dont always have the best prices in town but you can find some deals. The service is what gets me. Nobody quite seems happy to help or even glad that youre there. Not a spot that would be too friendly to beginners.

I used to live by this business and visited it several times in order to give it an honest review. I have to say that while they have a great selection in everything firearms related, it in no way makes up for their complete lack in customer service. Every time I have gone to this store, the sales people have been rude, impatient and downright dismissive and thats if you can even get one to talk to you. The only decent person working in this store is the nice lady running the register, she is always pleasant when checking out. Other than her you can usually find a group of several salesmen standing in the far corner behind the gun counter speaking amongst themselves and there is usually a fat guy resting his gut on the counter and clicking through stuff on the computer. This is literally where all the salesmen have been standing on 3 separate occasions. Im all for supporting regular gun shops rather than big chains like Cabelas or going online, but I would rather spend my money online than deal with any of these yahoos anymore.

Rude Rude Rude!!!! So my husband went in to check this place out today and see what kind of selection they had, while he was browsing an employee walked over to him and asked if he needed any help, as to which he relied just looking at the moment, wanting to get the wife in to see if there is something she would like and the employee said while walking away yeah gotta make sure to bring in the check book ..... I am appalled at the type of customer service this place allows. First off it would be my husband purchasing the item/items for me, not that it should make a bit of difference in the matter, but to be so rude to someone is just un-called for! We will certainly be taking our business elsewhere! FYI Guns Unlimited we are in the market for hand guns and hunting riffles for both of us, so its safe to say that is a bit of money lost on your part due to a simple courtesy you should be extending to each and every one of your potential customers!

A lot of the reviews on here that Im reading are talking about the salesmen being very rude, maybe compared to a store where the salesmen work on commission theyre a little indifferent, but if you know what you are looking for and you ASK THEM TO HELP YOU, they will be more than willing. (Keep in mind that this is a gun store and jokes about wives and checkbooks will be found everywhere, so please disregard Ambers review, we can all see right through that.)Now for my review.I was in the market for a browning citori shotgun, so I decided to go to the largest browning dealer in North America, where I decided on a custom edition that is a guns unlimited exclusive. Once I decided on the model I wanted, the staff went one step farther and let me choose exactly which one of the shotguns of that model in Stock I liked the best. The shotgun I chose had several adjustable components and they were very helpful on getting them dialed in to fit my posture perfectly. Then, on top of this, they threw in a free choke tube and a few boxes of shells just for convenience. Frankly, when people are giving this place 1 star reviews, I have to think that theyre insane, because that seems like fantastic customer service to me.Guns Unlimited Omaha: 5 stars

I traveled some distance to their store in Omaha. I bought a mid priced trap gun. The service and knowledge I received was far beyond my expectations. JP bent over backwards to help. The owner Tom came out and measured me for the gun. The next day I decided to add an adjustable comb....Craig answered the phone and was impressively helpful.....even called me back 10 minutes later to relate some additional info he found out. The customer service at Guns Unlimited is beyond compare...and what they were asking for the gun was subsequently lower than anyone on the internet. Why would anyone buy a gun at a big box store?

One of the big surprises to someone visiting Omaha is the lack of real gun stores in this area of the country which is sitting right on one of the major water fowl flyways on the Missouri River; home of a major airbase and popular military retirement area; and proximity to big game deer hunting. The big chain stores (ie Cabelas, Bass Pro, Walmart, Scheels) all carry the popular gear, but if you are a serious shooter, Omaha leaves you wanting.Guns Unlimited, or Guns Unfriendly as it is known to me and my friends has a generally good supply of long guns and pistols, and is generally well stocked for reloaders, etc. The problem completely lies in the completely poor staffing and customer service this place provides. I have purchased several long guns and pistols from here over the years, so I am not a stranger to this store-- but EVERY time I come into this building, there is a general feeling from the staff that theyd rather sit on their butt behind the counter than actively proactively interact with potential customers.Its really too bad too, as if they would give the staff a hard reboot, and update their stock a bit more often, this could be a mecca for shooters as it is in a great location. Two stars at best.

Absolutely the rudest staff I have ever had to deal with. They try to talk down to you like you are a second grader in school. Huge selection in the store and lots of reloading supplies. But, also the worst prices on guns I have ever seen locally. I would give negative stars for this business if possible.

This is the best store in Omaha if you reload your own ammo, they have the widest selection of bullets, powders, cases, primers. Prices are very good also, at least a few dollars cheaper than the chain stores.

Cons: I picked up a new shotgun and wanted to get a side saddle by tac-star for it. I called the shop they said they didnt have it and hung up on me before I could ask any other questions. so I went and got it at Cabelas. A few days later I went to the store looking for another part and was talked down to when asking questions. I also saw they did carry the part I was told they did not carry.I was hoping maybe I just had a bad experience and went back as I live nearby. I went again looking for some home defense ammo and could tell I was being closely watched by multiple employees. I received no help until I picked up some ammo (about 20 min, maybe three other customers in store) which at this point I decided to ask a few questions even though I had done my research just to see how customer service would be. Very poor service again, I was talked down to as if I was a punk kid and the employee was very rude.Pro: The cashier behind the register was very friendly! She was the only employee who answered my questions and was friendly.I wont be going back. I gave them three tries, all were poor.

Well, let see how fairly I should put all together my experiences that I have with Gun Unlimited.First, when I visited this site and read some recent low ratings below which pausing me for a moment and think oh no, I will not go to the store with such ratings. Period.Second, I was really looking for a new, decent concealed carry pistol and could not find any big store in Omaha which I can do my browsing for a decent gun. Moreover, I work inside Kiewit building around I street and Home Depot which is just a short distance to Gun Unlimited.Third, I reluctant allowed myself a chance to visit Gun Unlimited at least one time and see if I like it or not. With some low ratings from previous reviewers in mind, I purposely noticed all staff names that I came across. And while I was waiting for my CCW permit sent to me, I have made more than three visits to Gun Unlimited browsing through guns, questions and asking for advice, etc.Finally, I got my permit last week and I came back buying the gun I really like :).And here are my experiences I have with Gun Unlimited.Surprised me, the staffs are so helpful and friendly every time I visit the store even when told them that I could not buy anything until I get my permit and they are so nice. they let me trying this and that and answering all my questions.Hummmm, Am I a lucky guy or what... :) Believe or not, I think you should visit for your own experience and post it here and I recommend all to Gun Unlimited.Well, I have to thank you Craig, Ron, Tom and Nick for all your help. Aftermarket 9mm magazines for 70.00$?!?!These guys are nuts and you are a fool if you think this place is any good. These good ole boys are just making a quick buck of of suckers. The staff person I dealt with was extremely Rude. I had been talking to another customer, and we were both asking an older staff member questions. I made a comment about my previous gun purchase to the other customer that i had been chatting with and this sales associate jumped on me and told me Not to interfear with that customer as He was handling him. I will never return to the store. The other customer was also taken aback by the way the sales person dealt with us both and he left without a purchase as well.You guys need some sales training!
