An old school alley where one would easily find The Dude, Walter and Donnie kicking back some High Lifes and White Russians while throwing rocks during league play.If you dont dig Chops, then obviously, youre not a golfer.Jon and Staff are top notch!Seriously, best bowling alley in the world.

Always a good time has been for 20+ years . its small but not too small. I never know how to set up my lane or screen and Ive never had any trouble with getting help.

Cool little spot I take my kids there to bowl and play arcade games which are a little pricey especially for those prize selection... The little ducky game that cost a dollar should be a play till u win game .. really tho ... Or get one of those candy crane machines .. and a pinball table or two wouldnt hurt and would be used alot more than the stacker game witch prize selection is really sub par .. I would def change vendors or ask them to switch a couple games then the place would be perfect if it had a little more selection of arcade games .. they will pick up orses pizza for u if u order it from there .. witch is pretty cool .. but they have good prices for bowling games and ECT ...

I would say the place is nice for a quick bowling or a friendly get together over bowling, but I find the location very weird. Though they arent far from downtown yet situated in a odd spot. The lyft driver had hard time locating its front door . They dont have a very big place but the place inside is still nice and cozy. They have 7 or 8 bowling lanes, so they are a bit small too, though they have maintained a considerable distance from bar.

My wife & I were in town on a Thursday celebrating our anniversary. After a day of planned activities & supper with our son, a TOTALLY spur of the moment search on google maps for something else to do (to round out the night) turned into the most fun weve had together as a family for a long time. The atmosphere in Chops is what I would call cool old school, & thats awesome in my book! Working there was a friendly older gent who greeted us, got us set up with what we needed, got the tunes goin & put some B Ball on the tvs. While we only had a drink from the full bar there, it does have fun food that you would expect a bowling alley to have (nachos, pizza, pop, candy etc). We had a blast there, the fella working was super nice, was enjoyable to be around & courteous. The place is clean, in good shape & the prices cant be beat. We will definitively go back the next time we are able. Thank You Chops for making a spur of the moment decision into something well always remember!

Went for graduation party; great place to eat and bowl bowl. Bowl9ng machine messed up a few times but they were quick to fix even in busy hours.

We go here every year for my mrs work holiday party and every year its a blast. they are very nice and accomidating but i only gave it 4 stars because its a smaller, older place and sometimes the lanes have issues.I love the cosmic bowling and they have a pretty decent bar.

Had a great time here today! The man working was great. Hes a real local character and nice as pie. Very little seating, but, hey, its been around for a very long while, and who am I to say they should remodel? Very old fashioned. Just went in on an afternoon with a friend, and it had a real mom-and-pop feel. We werent that serious about bowling, so we had a great time. Three games and shoes for about ten bucks. He turned the music on just for us. Didnt drink, but the bar looked extensive. Got a great feel.Only downside- they only take cash. So expect ATM fees. If you can even get the ATM to work, that is. We kept getting an error, and he explained that, since the advent of the chip, theyve been having problems with it. He was kind enough to just let us bowl without paying, and for us to casually try the ATM again throughout our games. Great local honor system feeling. One of us finally got it to work, so we were able to pay. But, even if it didnt work, he told us there was an ATM at a nearby gas station. Keep in mind, this is about two and a half games in. He was willing to let us leave and come back. But thats why its a four star review. Shouldnt be too hard to get a card reader. I know its a nostalgic place, and it would be an easy modern update.Overall, great fun if youre not looking for something modern, fancy, or anything other than a bowling alley. Will definitely come again!

Was the worst bowling alley Ive ever been too and I have been to many. The equipment kept malfunctioning while we were bowling. First our bowling ball kept getting stuck on lane 8. Then he switched us to lane 7 and the computer was screwing up the score. The machine set down 2 pins from my daughters turn on my turn, I knocked them down and it gave me a strike...???lol The older gent behind the counter wasnt friendly at all. I told him sorry man not trying to get the ball stuck. ( even though its not my fault anyway just trying to be nice.) and he just walked off all butt hurt like its my fault the equipment is trash. All in all just a crappy bowling experience. Wont be back. Best of luck.

Bowling people are some of the most intimidating yet friendly people around, great times.

We happened to bowling here for their annual Turkey Bowl event. It was a lot of fun and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Ive been to this place several times before and really enjoy it. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the newer bowling alleys, is a lot smaller and a bit out of the way, but the charm of a good ole bowling alley offering friendly service is nice. They only take cash, but they do have an ATM. Plus they have local favorite Orsis pizza available for order.

Used to bowl all the time. LOVED 9 pin no tap and the late night bowling. Sad they took the sweeper away. Needs updating but still old home can never be forgotten.

If you like nostalgia when you bowl. This is a very cool old school bowling alley. If you are a Modern bowler with no interest in the past, nostalgia, personal hometown feel with a very personal touch, this place may not be for you. The reason. Mention this is due to the negative reviews that dont really spell out the issues. I feel they are expecting something from a 40 lane house. This is not that. This is a classic bowling alley at its best. Best of luck and good bowling. Hope you still do Sunday sweepers with all the crazy fun money racks. Hope to be back soon.

Its your local bowling alley nothing special. The old man the works Saturday days the is extremely rude and the service is slow. Its not a place I would ever visit again. BEWARE

Consistent bowling is not what you are getting, very outdated, during leagues there is not enough space or comfortable seating for both teams to sit and enjoy, and lastly which is most important its like bowling in the 70s with new tvs... Drink prices are not that great and not worth it at all. If you so choose bowl somewhere else.If I wasnt part of a league I wouldnt go back and wont bowl in our league next year is here again... Terrible all around

Its ok but equipment is very old and not reliable. The scores werent accurate half of the time at least. And the weekend special actually costs $1 more than regular price. Go here if you arent a serious bowler and just want to have fun.

You have to bring cash!!! If you carry around only card be prepared to pay an ATM fee. It also seemed like their ball selection wasnt enough, alot of girls in our group couldnt find a lighter ball and were forced to bowl with heavier balls.

Chops isnt your flashy have everything bowling alley, but what they do have are quality lanes personable staff and just enough entertainment for the kids to have a great time wether they are bowling or just playing games. They have updated there establishment to cosmic bowling and flat screen t.v.s and a great sound system. I have been bowling there on leagues for 5 yrs now and have not had any bad experiences.I would and do recommend them to all my friends and now recommend them to you. Rent the place for a party or just enjoy the cheap prices either way a great time. ENJOY!!!!

We, literally, just left this place...disgusted.My cousin and I decided to have a family bowling night, so we all met up at Chops. We had a party of 8, and it was a first experience for all of us. It was terrible. The place is seriously old, outdated, and MAJORLY cramped. Each lane has 2 seats, and the seats are so close to the score console (that is from the 70s) that there is no space to walk up to the lane if someone is sitting in them. We originally had 2 lanes (but got kicked off of one, but Ill get to that). One lane for kids with bumpers, and another lane for the adults. Our balls got stuck 9 separate times in the hour that we were there. The console glitched and skipped several turns. When the balls didnt get stuck down the lane, they got stuck in the ball return. The bumpers kept falling and the staff acted irritated when asked to fix them. Also, they only take cash, no cards, so expect atm fees. They can furnish an atm, but not process debit transactions.....Now, 2 games in, the older guy working comes over and says 6 bowlers isnt enough to have 2 lanes so hes moving us all to one to make room for someone else. Our money, apparently, wasnt good enough. Mind you, 6 people bowling 3 games a piece, shoe rental, and food and drinks for all 8 people. Now, we have the whopping 2 seats for 8 people! Then, the party of 6 he put next to us comes over and starts moving our balls to make room for theirs. When asked to stop and asked where they had put our balls, they were rude and talked amongst themselves about how they were regulars and we had some nerve. Six of our eight people bowling...6 balls...how dare we. In addition, they practiced zero bowling etiquette and seemed to be doing so on purpose. We had enough at this point and left with 4 paid for games unplayed.We tried Chops out because it was a local joint, and thought wed support a local business and try some place new. None of us will be returning. This place is an absolute joke. The only positive was the guy at the food counter being polite and efficient. Beyond that...TERRIBLE.
