Saw a terrible burlesque show on Saturday. For $20, Id expect better than dive bar burlesque. Terre rouge? Looked them up and they have a FREE show at powerhouse this week! Wish I had known and saved my money.
I love attending any event here. I have enjoyed myself thoroughly at every single event. I was hired to shoot some video of a band. Upon arrival management escorted us back to the green room without any problems and made sure we had what we needed. Excellent customer service which made our experience a memorable one to say the least.
Terre Rouge Weirdlesque was amazing as always! The Tower Theatre is an amazing venue! The sound system is so loud and loud=good!
The Tower Theatres neon marquee welcomes you in for an electric night of live music! Its such a joy to see a historic theatre brought back to life and thriving. They have many different types of shows and movies. We enjoyed learning a little of the history by browsing around before the show started. Ill certainly be back soon! Great job!
Great venue to see a show. I just took in New Pornographers (fantastic!) and enjoyed it very much. Just the right size, good acoustics, and the staff were on the ball all around. Would definitely go here again.
Great venue. Sit up in the balcony and watch the show or go downstairs and hit the dance floor with all the friendly concert goers. There is a fast moving bar with a nice selection of liquor and beer with reasonable prices.Im new in The City this is only my second time at the Tower, cant wait to go back again in Sep.
Dope atmosphere/chill mother-daughter bar scene/miniclub cant wait till post C19 support SUPPORT AN ESSENTIAL PART OF OUR SOCIETY
This theatre was wonderful! I am 5 foot tall so I usually struggle to see at concerts but not here! The layout of the place leaves you feeling comfortable and cozy but without leaving you claustrophobic. I was about 20 to 25 feet from the stage! I have never been to a concert that I enjoyed as much as this. My only complaint has nothing to do with this place and more to do with crazy drunk people. But at a concert what can you expect? All in all I would definitely go back and thats saying something since I live in DFW area. So thats about a 3 to 4 hour drive depending on traffic.P.S. sorry for the poor quality pictures I was more concerned with seeing Tab Benoit. That and I was using a phone camera.
First time here. Seats are padded and comfortable. Theater is small but liked the fact it is cozy to enjoy the band. Parking across the street was great and convenient. Bar crew were very accommodating. Great time!
Glad they redid this place. Cool venue.
Never buy tickets for this venue unless it is the day of the concert. I have had them now twice reschedule an event and I cant make the 2nd date and they refuse to offer refunds. Why am I forced to pay you or forced to sell my own tickets because your venue reschedules? Very bad refund policy, buyer beware!
This was my 4th time to visit Tower Theatre. I absolutely adore the eclectic acts they bring in. To the Indie music lover (like myself) I have squealed with delight over some of the acts they been able to snag. GA is good, a little too shotgun for my taste, but assigned seating in the balcony easily remedies that and they have excellent bar prices for being a concert venue. The sound is above average and I genuinely have no complaints. If you get a chance to catch one of your favorite acts there, do it. If you get a chance you catch a band youve never heard of before there, also do it...because chances are they are excellent.
What a super cool theater. We saw the Merritt Christmas show and loved it. We will see that every year that it comes to town. The seats were comfortable and the sound was excellent.
Excellent venue to play! The Unstoppable Screams Tour came through with Red, Lacey Sturm, Righteous Vendetta, and my band MESSER. Staff and stage hands were awesome, sound and lights wee incredible. We hope to be back soon. If you are booking, or touring this definitely needs to be a stop on your run. Or if you have a chance to see a show, definitely go.
Went to see Kamasi Washington at this place. Awesome event and venue. One of the best concerts Ive since coming back from Europe.
Awesome venue. Good location and a nice mix of floor area and theatre seeting.Watch your step! The last set of the stairs to the floor has 3 steps, not 2 steps like the others. My wife turned her ankle on the last step (oops!)
Perfect venue for live music. Saw Hayes Carll there the other night. Roomy but not huge. Sound was great. Bartenders were quick and friendly. Will definitely be a regular for my live music needs!
All sorts of events...sound is really good. Ive been to some movies and concerts and Ive always had a great time!
Been to a number of concerts here. Great sightlines and acoustics. My only beware is you’ll pay different prices for alcoholic drinks from different bartenders.
Such an awesome place to see a movie! I had been for a few shows, but I recently watched my first movie at The Tower Theatre. They were showing the yellow submarine, and even had some delicious drinks that were yellow submarine themed!! So clean and nice inside, and the staff was great! We will definitely be returning for more movies in the future!
Nice venue. Not a bad seat. Reasonably priced. Ill definitely come back
Great concert venue! Love the intimate feel of this place. Your up close and personal with the artist. Also love the parking and the close proximity to bars and restaurants. We had a blast at the Stephen Marly concert
Very nice place I cant wait to go back to experience more entertainment they have at this locationI like the type of crowd they attract and the employees are AWESOMEVery well organized as well
Great venue, sound and lights are very nice. I highly recommend it if you like a more intimate place to see a live show.
Great local theatre. Small and nostalgic feeling, safe neighborhood, easy access to Bricktown in downtown OKC. Go across the road to Tucker’s Onion Burgers for a bite before your show. Uber is quick to pick up from here after hours.
Support independent theaters and dives that bring great music to the kids. I miss places like the old green door where a teen could go see their favorite punk band (or whatever). Thanks for getting Less Than Jake here FINALLY. only took them 20 yrs but its cool bc Bowling for Soup came again and where else can you see your favorite 80s and 90s movies on the big screen?
Great venue. Cool spot for an intimate show.
I use to go to the movies in this theater back in the 70s and 80s. Then it closed for a long time. It reopen and I got to look inside. It is very unique. Different then all the rest. There is a stage and bar inside of 1 of the performance areas. Very very nice
Cool older style theater that has been renovated to be multi purpose. Full bar, balcony, not a bad seat in the house.
Went to go see a concert here. Wow! What an insanely great venue. The sound quality was fantastic. Without a doubt my new favorite smaller venue for music. Way better than the diamond ballroom, which is fine in its own right. The Tower is just better.
Very neat environment. Updated and feels new. The sound was great. Very well done and Looking forward top seeing more concerts and movies there soon.
Got to watch Todrick Hall here! It was set up amazing and the staff was incredible!
Great venue for music. Unfortunately, sound system lacking any quality at all. I would not suggest visiting for any music event. You will not enjoy the sound. Improving the sound system should be on their list if they wish to survive.
What could I, little ol me say about a night like tonight at the Tower Theater for Lust, LCG, Husbands. You are with tomorrow or not but today is important. Lets at least.See shows here. Its insanely affordable and you might see life differently the day after.YES!
Great venue. Parking across the street. Couple of cafes to snack at before the show. The whole place was very clean & comfortable. Only awkward when it came to locating setups. The merchandise booth was right at the entrance blocking the line. One of the bars can have a line blocking the restrooms. And there is no easy way to get from one side of the floor seating to the other. It is all just a very minor issue honestly. I’ve been there once & had floor seating. It’s just regular seating not sloped like a movie theatre but I didn’t hear anyone complaining. The stage, the speakers, and entrance/exits were great. Went to the PMJ concert and every transition was so smooth. You could even hear the tap dancing easily. Very impressed with the sound system & staff. You could tell the staff was working hard. Can’t wait till I can visit again. Curious to try the balcony view.
Best concert venue in OKC
Awesome venue. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return when I visit OKC again. Bring back the Wild Boys in the future.
Great Venue one of the best in OKC awesome acoustics and theres not a bad view in the house. Been to several shows here they are booking the right bands! Just saw The Wood Brothers and they killed!
Excellent staff, venue, experience.Great sound
Cool venue with nice acoustics, glad to see it revived. Free parking across the street was well lit and felt secure.
Great show. However don’t get seats in the back by the bar because it is way too noisy
This place has been having some major names play lately and its been great. Friendly staff even during sold out shows. A superb venue for sure.
Pretty cool place to go
Plenty of parking, comfortable seating, wonderful acoustics and a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
This was my first time attending a concert here. I had no complaints regarding the facilities. I came to see Tobe Nwigwe WHO SMASHED IT!! Great concert! Great man!
Great place for concerts, full bar. Great location easy to get in and out off. The staff is very friendly.
Went here for a burlesque show was not disapointed....nice theatre will def go to another show again there
Small cozy venue. Amazing acoustics! Show was awesome!
Inside is set up compact and narrow. Really good for music intensive shows. Drinks were reasonably priced for a venue which unfortunately is a little higher than I want. Looking forward to my next visit here.
Saw some really good shows here. Ian Moore was awesome. Great venue with lots of things to do in the area.
Good food and friendly service
I love the multiple levels in the floor, you can set your own pace! Great place for with an intimate feel!
1st time attending an event here. I loved the theme and all the bells and whistles the theater offered for this event. Friendly staff and reasonable snack prices!!
It was easy to get in and out of the place. Once inside, it was very nice and a good place to hear live music. All seats were good ones. Will go back again.
Very nicely redone inside! Bright and excellent sound. A bit hard to see the stage from some seats without shifting. I was surprised to see foldable chairs instead of installed seats. Great venue though, and great Eastside location!
Really cool venue. The local band they had was amazing! The staff and bartender I encountered were very nice. The venue is leveled and so makes viewing the stage easier. It being leveled also did make me semi nervous for the drunks in that the steps and railing were difficult to see. No one had an episode so obviously it was maneagable. The inside was smaller than I remember before, but large enough. Not too small but not too big either...just right to feel intimate yet not. Lighting was fun and accoustics great. Drinks offered were unique and tasty, but the beer options were the usual. They had several bartenders so you hardly waited at all. The price for the drinks for what you get is too high. Mine was mostly ice and it was gone in 5 to 6 sips. At least it was good ice! The bathrooms were clean and nice actually. Overall the feel was great. I would come back to see another band here, just would probably stick with one drink again.
Went to an awesome celebration of life party at the Tower Theater. And, I saw Apocalyptica perform there. This is a great live venue in Oklahoma City.
Had a good time watching the Big Lebowski. Beer prices were silly prices. Other than that it was fun.
Awesome venue. Love how it is stair stacked in the main hall. Close to the pump bar and great free parking to the south. Senses Fail was incredible.
The venue was really nice, cold air conditioning, good atmosphere, clean restrooms, but heres a few unfortunate truths. The seats are uncomfortable, the drinks are way overpriced and the organization and order I would have expected a venue of this caliber to uphold was very poor. I was near the back of the terrace (bottom floor, not balcony) and there was a large amount of people congregating behind us which I assumed would mostly stop once the show started, it did not. People from the balcony and other areas would stand right behind us playing on their phones, taking phone calls, txt messages and whatever else. These people were never approached by staff and asked to return to their seats or step out of the auditorium to handle whatever business they had on their phones. There was literally not any moment from the time the doors opened to the end of the show that there was not multiple people standing right behind me. It agitated me, made me uncomfortable, and also made it where I could not enjoy the show myself and My wife had been looking forward to for a very long time! I would have a really hard time recommending this venue.
Had the best night watching the Burlesque show by #adelewolf last night... All the women were beautiful, amazing and talented!!! We will be back next year for sure. Love the theatre... It was adorable! Best night ever!!!
I loved seeing Shakey Graves and Langhorne Slim this year at the Tower. It was a very up close and personal set, for both guys. Definitely made my year to get to see two of my top five.
Fantastic place to see a show. Nice parking across the street. Not a bad place in the house to see the bands.
Most amazing sound system ever! I’ve only managed to be to one show here and I have to say their sound was on point. Especially in the back of the house (not the case in most instances). Vivid acoustics and deep bass throughout. I was very impressed. In fact, I can’t even think of anything I’ve witnessed live that sounded better!
Good venue, different floor heights throughout general admission which helped staggering the view of the artist. During intermissions it was a bit of a hassle navigating through the bar lines to get to the restroom, but overall a nice small venue
The theater itself is definitely old but it has been kept up well from what you can see as a visitor. Bathrooms have always been clean and the staff is always pleasant. The last time we went we sat in the balcony. It was very tight but provided a great view of the stage. My only qualm is the shows that are advertised as family friendly are not. The last concert we went to I brought my 15 year old because it was advertised as family friendly and it was riddled with f bombs and off color sexual comments. So buyer beware.
Perfect place to catch a show or a great classic movie.
I really like the place! It looks larger than it is when your ordering seats online, because I thought wed have to strain to see the performers, but our seats werent far at all. I like how its stacked, so even if a tall person is sitting in front of you, you can still see over them. Its a cozy place with a great sound system. Bathrooms are large with plenty of stalls.
First time at the Tower to see John Moreland. I was really impressed with the space and layout of the tiered levels that provided great views of the stage for all. Great production quality and fantastic performance. My only critique was the volume of the backing band in both the opener and main performance as compared to the main vocals. It was hard to hear not only Johns vocals, but guitar and harmonica solos got lost in the mix all night. Would definitely go back and am excited about the wide variety of artists they book.
Went to see Los Lonely Boys it was awesome........
My husband and I went to see Gary Gullman at the Tower Theatre and it was great! The venue was nice and intimate. The sound system was super clean and easy to hear. I enjoyed the show and will definitely look for more acts to see there in the future.
Shinyribs was amazing! Perfect venue, clean inside, friendly staff, and not a long wait at the bar. However it was a Tuesday night so not a huge crowd. Will definitely be back to the Tower to see some more bands!
Place is insane! Love it
Such a cool venue that offers an eclectic variety of shows. From comedians to musicians so make sure to check their website out periodically! Or better yet join their email list!
Get your necessities handled before being crammed in your chair, worse than an airplane. Pick a seat at the front of each raised section or you wont see the stage. We had a birthday group, all a couple of rows from front of raised section had no view. I brought it to the attention of a manager and I asked about the two large screens on the walls and why the camera wasnt on, she said she hoped to have that ability soon. ? Instead of buying the extra chairs to squeeze everyone together, you shouldve splurged for the ability for everyone to see the show.Price is a premium for tickets and drinks, restrooms and facilities were clean, workers were quick and fairly friendly. Parking is ok for being in a busy area.
Excellent renovation. Glad they were able to salvage most of it.
I have seen Blue October, TED Talks, twin XL, lovely the band, and a few other bands / groups thats just to name a few, its a great venue the staff are really fun and helpful its a very small intimate place, but I think thats the best place to be when you want to see your favorite people sing. The atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable.
Great venue. Very intimate interaction with performers and patrons
The facility was okay, not great. The sound quality was also just okay. The drink prices are outrageous. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will give them a two and a half star.
Love this place - best venue of its size in OKC. Great sound for a theater and the lights perform far above its class. Promoters and their programming are ace. They take great care of the bands they bring in. Always look forward to coming through.
Amazing venue drinks very expensive compared to local bars
Wonderfully remodeled and open for business ! Sound during system upgrades are perfect ! Attending venues here will not disappoint.
Great place for concerts and live shows. Its a beautiful place, very secured, and just an amazing atmosphere for anything. I would go again if I had the money.
Venue where you can see Todrick Hall is a good one by default. But the Tower Theater is a staple of Oklahoma City and while it could stand facelift here and there it retains its charm as one of the more accessible and historic venues in the Metro.
I LOVE local businesses, and this is such a great venue. Comfortable and easy to park
The venue has plenty of historical charm. The sound mix isnt good when youre in the balcony, though. Couldnt hear lead vocals very well for either band.
Went to shane smith and the saints concert best time Ive had in a long time
Great place, friendly staff. Concerts are always fun.
