A fun little amusement park to go to on a date or to bring your kids to. Has a fun Halloween theme when that time of year rolls around and they decorate with Christmas lights that you can see as you drive by. Better to do a membership to Six Flags so you can go to multiple parks over just 1.

We arrived yesterday at 11:00 am. They group checked our temperature. Masks are required and they are good at social distancing. The workers are super friendly and accommodating. The log flume was fun and well done. The park isnt too big but its still fun. I suggest wearing your swim suit under shorts and a t-shirt. The water park made the heat and humidity doable. We were so hot and wasted until we hit the water park. Fun slides and great kids water area. The one thing that was really annoying. We have meal passes and the signs said the pulled pork place with the Fiesta nacho closed at 5:45pm. We had checked after lunch it was open. At 4:55 almost an hour early. And they had closed up a bunch of the food places that we had been waiting to eat at. Other people were walking around trying to buy food and only chicken strips or hamburgers were available and they werent good. Fun day besides the food.

I reserved tickets online due to COVID restrictions. Arrived at park as soon as gates opened. The park was clean and orderly, they had hand sanitizing and washing stations around every corner. I felt safe walking around the park. Masks are mandatory so get a comfortable one. After about 2 hours the park closed due to inclement weather, we were bummed but I checked with admissions and they gave us comp tickets for another day! So thanks Six Flags Frontier City! I recommend a visit if your in the area. Only reason for 4 stars is the amount of rides and attractions that were closed.

Frontier City is a theme park owned by Six Flags. If youre looking for a western themes park to take the kids to or just hang out, then this is the place. The roller coasters are great and the smaller rides are just as good. There are many choices for dining (might I suggest the frontier fries?).Right now, due to Covid-19, you have to call and make a reservation. The park employees all wear masks and have their temperatures taken before they can start working. The rides are sanitized frequently and the park is generally pretty clean.Five stars for this amazing theme park. Enjoy!

We visited the park today for the first time. It did not disappoint. My family and I had a great time. The staff members were very friendly and spoke to us with knowledge about the park. The park is extremely clean & well kept. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this park. I highly recommend this park. Be sure to watch the Wild West Show & The Magic Show.....They were very entertaining.

Took my son Julius. We had so much fun together. While this park wasnt as big as Six Flags in Dallas, it still has a lot of great rides and my feet didnt hurt when we left. The wooden roller coaster broke down right before we were to get on. That would have been fun. I feel bad for the folks who got stuck on the ride. All the shows that we saw had really great actors. I would come back at half price daily pass. It was a great deal online.

The park is fun and has a lot of great rides. The lines weren’t too bad, and the overall experience was pretty good. However, it didn’t start out great and many rides and shows were not in operation (date of visit was Sunday, August 2, 2020). Here’s the jist. The girls running the first ride we chose, the Quick Draw, were incredibly rude (shocking considering the park had just opened less than an hour prior), they gave us no instruction, and the ride didn’t even work. It took us around in a cart, but the guns didn’t work for either one of us (2 in my party). We explained this kindly to the girls and they couldn’t have cared less. It was frustrating and they were again so rude!We kept a positive attitude and tried not to let our first encounter bother us, but the next ride we chose (I think it’s the Steel Lasso, but it’s the one just beyond the Quick Draw that’s like the carnival swing rides but also raises you up). When we arrived, there was no one in line and the girl operating the ride was strapping a guy and his son in the swing together. There were no other swings occupied and the ride was ready for more passengers. Instead of letting us on, she started the ride. We were pretty confused, because she hadn’t even acknowledged us. We asked if we could get on for the ride since it hadn’t actually begun, and she said she’d rather not let us on this one. She was so rude! I couldn’t believe it. We were at a family fun theme park and were being treated so poorly. This incident wasn’t about social distancing. She was just being a jerk. We were fed up by this point and sure didn’t feel safe under her operation, so we continued on and didn’t bother riding that ride. All I could think was how bad these employees must be treated. People who are treated bad treat others bad, and those treated good, treat others good. I sure want management to make a note of that.Thankfully, the rest of our day was very enjoyable. Several shops were closed and shows were canceled, but we certainly made the very best of it. My favorite ride was the Brain Drain. It made the whole trip worth it . I was super bummed the pirate ship ride was closed, because I remember it from my childhood, but the rollercoasters that were operating were fun (except for the wooden one—that was a bit rough). The parking is very expensive, and the drinks were shockingly overpriced, which we all assume, right? This, however, was a whole different level of expensive.2 bottles of water = $101 soda = $20Also, something that really annoyed me was that there were no park maps offered. There’s a big directory, but it’s not very helpful when moving about the park. I’d go back. This was my first time going since Six Flags took over and I feel like the change took a negative toll on the park.

We did witness park employees with electric backpack sprayers walking throughout the park spraying down handles, rails, rides, and etc.Security and employees kindly remind you to keep your mask on unless youre in a mask free zone, small areas that you can momentarily remove your mask if needed(one example would be a designated smoker area), or drinking/eating.Park shows it age in most regards but not too rough, has character.

Since Six Flags bought the park, the season tickets are much more valuable in my opinion. The festivals (Holiday in the park, Haunt the Park) arr great times to take kids since the park is just do lit up and festive.Without a season pass, it is harder to recommend. But if you are going to go, just buy a season pass since it is only like $30 for the season ticket.

Its fine. Ive spent a lot of time there, cause the first summer we moved to Oklahoma, wed go there at least twice a week. The rides are fun to go on, at least they were, but Ive been there so much that I dont really get the thrill anymore. Still a great time for the family, though. During this time of crisis, with COVID-19 and all, they do make you wear a mask, which can be a bit annoying on a really hot day, but, something I saw way too late into my recent visit was that they had designated areas where you could take a few minutes to just breath, so yeah. Thats pretty cool. Id recommend visiting, but not too often as to not remove the thrill of the rides.

We had LOTS of fun with our family. I would say the only downsides would be the masks and long lines. While they do have mask break areas, its also the designated smoking areas which was a bummer for non-smokers like our family. We waited almost an hour to ride The Lasso, and due to maintenance issues, we were unable to the first time. The second time my husband and teenage son waited in line until the park closed to ride it while the younger one and I rode 5 other rides. If you asked our kids, it was a 10/10 experience, but compared to other parks it was a bit disappointing to me. Because they enjoyed it so much, I gave it a 4, but I would say 3.5 would be a better rating if they allowed you to rate in half-stars.

First off, great theming! Second, love the rides! Now for the negatives! First off, I ended up waiting half an hour for a plastic spoon! Second, I was cut in line at least ten times, so I eventually had to do the cutting! Third, I ended up leaving with a very bad headache. Fourth, I was accused of stalking for the first time in my life! Frontier City, I understand that you take guest safety seriously. However, this park is only 55 acres. That is not a lot of room, and it is just a coincidence if people end up at the same ride a couple of times! Also, everyone is in a mask and half the people are in a hat and sunglasses, so it is very easy to be mistaken for someone else. I lost 15 minutes of my day trying to convince security that I was not a stalker! Next, customer service was not ideal. The vendors in Fort Frontier on August 16 were in the back playing around and joking with each other. My cup was even dropped on the ground because they were playing around and i had to get a new one! The line also moved extremely slow for food because they were so busy and focused on each other that they weren’t really paying a whole lot of attention to their customers. However, it wasn’t all of them. There were a minority who actually seemed to care about the customers, and were trying to keep the line moving. So, overall, there are good and bad things about this park. I would say it’s a little bit below average for an amusement park. I enjoyed my time here, with some small issues and accusations, but probably won’t be back here anytime soon.

ABSURDLY STRICT MASK POLICY!! I was just banned from Frontier City for 5 YEARS because I wasnt wearing a mask. Yes thats right. 5 years. It was 2 minutes until closing, the park was nearly empty, and I was standing outside about 10-15 feet away from everyone. My kids were wearing masks and they were on a ride, but management refused to let the ride start since I wasnt wearing a mask, even though I was nowhere near the ride. Despite the fact that I was perfectly calm, polite and reasonable, management brought police over to threaten to arrest me if I didnt provide ID. They made me pull my kids off the ride, took my season pass and banned me for 5 years. I guess the $500 my family spent on season passes for this year will be the last money Frontier City ever gets from us. This place is ran by Nazis on a power trip. My advice: STAY AWAY. They have a small water park on site but we did not do that. I think this is something you want to put on your list when visiting Oklahoma City and Im sure you and your family will have a great time. If you dont have a season pass I would really recommend that you consider doing that as it can get was quite expensive very quickly. The food and drinks are moderately priced. The best drink deal if you have a pass is either adding the membership level which includes the drink package or buy the souvenir cup for $12 &get refills all year for $0.99. There is a good mix of rides, including ones you see at the fair like bumper cars and ferris wheel as well as roller coasters, some with loops, one where your legs dangle, and most can be ridden if youre 36. We actually lost our keys out of our pocket today and Alex, once of the managers, was so kind, helpful and reassuring. And David, the maintenance gentleman was our Super Hero! One word: HOT. This place is tough to visit during the peak heat of summer, and is even tougher when you have to wear a face mask the whole time. It is basically a glorified fair, with a bunch of so-so rides and not a lot else to offer. Being that this is owned by Six Flags I guess my expectations were a little higher. There are few indoor places to cool off (one indoor eating area and one show which happen to be next to each other). Other than that good luck cooling off indoors. Additionally I did not see them sanitizing the rides after guests disembarked. NOT ONCE. There are hand sanitizer stations at the beginning and end of each ride. Its a bunch of kids running the place who dont seem at all happy to be there. The small water park area connected to the park was nice for my child and was the saving grace for an otherwise long hot day.

At this time of the year, I would not recommend going to Frontier city. Me and my friends went to Hallowfest during the nighttime and it was horrible to say the least. I could see people not adhering to COVID-19 guidelines and they were no workers enforcing them either, especially in the lines waiting for rides. Surprisingly, when we went this year, there was a lot of people (maybe a little too many people). This lead the lines to being long. I remember waiting for almost an hour for the “Brain Drain” to not even get on the ride. Not to mention, there were some kids that kept cutting the lines. Again, there were no workers monitoring the lines. Eventually, we left after only riding one ride, the “Diamondback”. My advice to anyone that wants to go to Frontier City around this season, is that you should go early as possible to avoid the long lines. Additionally, if you’re conscious about COVID-19, I wouldn’t recommend going because guidelines aren’t being enforced heavily enough.

PROS:The rides, if theyre running, are great, especially the roller coasters. The crowds were a good size with the whole reserving a spot before coming thing. The numbers for that seemed to be thought out well. The park is pretty clean and well maintained, the music is great, and the theme is well done as well. The free re-entry policy is very nice as well, so that, should patrons want to eat dimmer somewhere, they would leave and come back at no charge. I really appreciate that. The staff is also very friendly!CONS:[Could be a pro to some] The masking rule is enforced tightly. Although entirely outdoors, masks must stay on and over the nose during all rides. The pricing is absurd. My ticket was $25 online, but after a $9 processing fee and tax I ended up paying around $37 for my single ticket. Which is annoyingly misleading, but isnt horrible for a fun theme park until they charge $20 for parking in a huge lot with hundreds of empty spots.UNAVOIDABLE TWENTY DOLLAR PARKING!!!! TWENTY DOLLARS TO PARK MY CAR. TWENTY DOLLARS FOR ME, ONE PERSON, TO LITERALLY GET INTO THE PARKING LOT WITH MY CAR. Absolutely insane. A small fee is understandable if the lot is crowded, but the lot was only 30% full. I ended up paying WAY too much than I should have just to come to the park. If it werent so expensive, thats an easy 5 stars. The bathrooms. There are two bathroom locations in the entire park. One of which always has a long line, and the other of which is a very long trek to get to. The bathrooms were about gas station level of cleanliness, which was surprising because the rest of the place was pretty clean. The staff is pretty quick to ban people. Some explanation: I was with my friend when he was banned earlier this week. His sister accidentally dropped her bracelet outside of a handrail near the brain drain (not a fence, a handrail- with no warning signs or anything like that) and it fell about 5 feet away from the mini-railroad tracks that run along the interstate-side of the park. My friend looked to see no train was running, and then hopped down to grab the bracelet. The train conductor, who was parked about 500 feet down the tracks, tooted the train horn as my friend slid back under the handrail. We all chastised my friend a bit for being reckless, but all was fine until about 2 officers, some park staff, and 3 security officers showed up and took him away, made him sign a document stating that, should he ever come back, he would be charged with criminal trespassing, and sent him on his way out.I know that what he did was very ill-advised, but I honestly believe that it did not warrant a lifetime ban from all six flags parks. He did not jump into a dangerous pit of a rollercoaster or something, and there was nothing explicitly dangerous or rulebreaking about what he did. He slid under a handrail to grab a dropped bracelet into a very wide open area with no machinery, and got banned for lifetime for it.I fully understand the park staff needing to take appropriate and serious measures to keep people safe, but I feel like an immediate lifetime ban was overkill. I would love to possibly have a conversation about the possibility of looking back at security tapes or taking look at the ban again. While I dont go to frontier city a lot, my friend did, and it definitely sucks a lot for him that he can never come back again to any six flags park over something so negligible.

I havent been here. But by reading the reviews, season pass holders beware. You are being targeted and banned from the park, probably so they can sell passes to other customers at higher prices. Go to Dollywood! Wed love to see you!

Disappointing. Very small park geared more towards families with young children. There were many rides for small kids, but only a handful of bigger extreme thrill coasters. The rides labeled extreme thrill were underwhelming. To make matters worse, two of the extreme rides were closed for maintenance. Corona meant lines were short, which meant my husband and I could do a few rides and leave within an hour.

The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional and condescending towards myself and my group of friends. They also pick and choose who they allow to break rules. Our friend was asked to take off his mask because it had a marijuanna leaf on it, yet there was multiple people that had marijuanna clothing on. Also, they are constantly getting on to you about your mask(which i get) but the staff that asked you to pick up your mask had theirs below their mouth and nose. None of the food staff were even wearing masks when we decided to get food. Also I would like to add that my name is pronounced corona and when the lady checking my season pass made very rude comments to me due to the virus. Which is extremely unprofessional. Also the park closes at 9 PM on Sundays but Google (that was updated a week ago) says it closes at 12 AM. I would highly recommend going to any park in oklahoma besides this one. I feel cheated that I got season passes, and it was so miserable that I will not be coming back. Dont spend your money here- you will literally be spending your money to get bullied and harassed by the staff here.

Parking was expensive. Gate admission was expensive. Food and drinks were expensive. At least six major rides and at least one kiddie ride were shut down in peak season. The water area for kids they say is open on their website was gated off. Whoever said there was a petting zoo is crazy. There wasnt a petting zoo 20 years ago and there isnt one now. Most of the games had their lights on but nobody behind the booths. Only saw one active game. One of the ride operators, the Prairie Schooner/Phantoms Fury/Pirate Ship dropped his key and the ride was stalled. 20+years ago this place was great, (maybe because I was a kid, maybe because they had all rides and booths operational back then). If Six Flags does own Frontier City now they made a bad investment or theyre trying to slowly shut this place down. Best thing I can say was that a few of the staff, (especially the photo woman in the booth near the entrance and the jail), were friendly. The others seemed to be lost, bored. The area it is located may have been good a long time ago but it is iffy now. I would rather spend a little more money and go to Silver Dollar City. Seriously, I think Frontier City is about to join Bells and Dogpatch as becoming another defunct park.

The kids had a blast! They loved all of the rides & they especially loved the wild west water works. There were so many different things to do for my 6 and 14 year old. They have a bunch of different shows throughout the day. The magic show is always our favorite. The food & drinks are really expensive so we just got our hands stamped & went to the McDonalds right down the road. All of the employees were really nice and helpful. We will definitely be back again

Had not been to park in 15 years. Spent a Saturday at the park and had a great time. Arrived when park opened no long lines. As day went on lines grew as park visitors picked up. Enjoyed all the rides and liked the new ones that were not there in the past. $20 to park was steep but was allowed to leave and return to park with a stamp so that made it ok. Plan to return to check out Fright Fest in October :) Still a great place to go my kids are all grown but still have Wildcat Roller Coaster that they rode over and over every time we went :)

I got kicked out for standing by the door with a bracelet in my hand still in the gift shop and I was kicked out for absolutely no reason, I do believe it was Bc I had a hoodie on Bc it was cold and I was surrounded by my black family. I would like you to teach your security guards to not assume stuff from people by how they look.

We had the best time ever! The water park was the best part! I love how the water slides are. We went on a Wednesday and the lines were not long at all, which is ideal. Parking is $20 & water bottles are $6, admission is pricey so you might as well buy season passes and visit the park more than once. It was all worth it.

Frontier City has recently been bought out by Six Flags. The changes have been great so far theyve expanded rights and they have even introduced a new winter theme park for obviously the winter season. It still carries all the fun of Frontier City but now its in the winter so now you can have adult beverage hot chocolate and a Turkey Lake and enjoy all your summer fun rides in the winter time. Theres even light shows that are synced up with the Christmas lights.

What happened Six Flags? Thought you guys were going to make this a premier destination. Over Half the rides are closed. Half the staff thinks theyre the gestapo. My determination is this. At this time, its a waste of money. They should only be charging half price since they only have less than half the rides open. Secondly, they should educate thier staff on treatment of patrons. A little respect goes a long way. Staff was rude to many patrons, would not be surprised to see this place close in the next year. Not worth it, dont waste the time or money. Take your kids to do something enjoyable rather than spend so much on something thats only 25% functional.Update; Six Flags replied to my review asking me to contact them, I replied, and never received a follow up. Been over a month and no response. Just adds to the customer service. Thanks again.

While I appreciate the social distancing and the overall lower crowds, there were still a lot of closed rides. My bigger frustration comes with the fact that the hours werent displayed more prominently. they allowed my husband and I (not season ticket owners) to make a reservation with an hour left in the day at full costs. Many theme parks have discounted pricing later in the day and this absolutely should follow suite. We spent 100 to ride two fun rides and one lackluster attraction with half the features broken. Not pleased!

My family and I visited this park, and it’s a great place. There is a place for the little ones, with over 5 rides. They have thrilling coasters..the Diamond Back, Silver Bullet, and 3 other thrilling rides. Usually, the crowd is small on rainy days, yet weekends are packed. It’s a great place with fun rides, though it may be a small theme park, it’s still a lot of fun for our family and I am confident that others will enjoy it. The food is very pricy, over $10 a meal. They have multiple shops for food, where you can have options of Chicken Strips, Cheeseburgers, Pizza, Pretzels and some other things. They have a dip n dots shop, and they have a bunch of other snacks that you can get. If you purchase the meal pass, it’s overs 1 meal a day for you. That does not include a drink, but the snack pass includes a drink. You can use your snack pass to purchase a drink, or a snack. You may only pick one. Snack passes do not cover all snacks. They cover either one pretzel, one gummy snack, which you have many choices with, ice cream bars, dip n dots or a drink other than water. Water is free. It’s a great place to hang out!!

We have had season passes for the past 2 years and been happy with it but with the shut down and now working at 25% capacity and requiring reservations, I am not able to get a reservation for anytime this whole summer for White Water Bay/Hurricane Harbor which is the main reason we buy season passes every year. I bought our passes in September when they went on sale for the next year like I always do and now am not able to use them. BUT if I act like I am going to buy tickets for Hurricane Harbor I am able to pick almost any day I want and make a reservation and buy tickets. This is just really BAD customer service. If they are working on 25% capacity then season pass holders who have basically already bought their tickets should be able to get in just like a daily ticket buyer if there are spots available. They need a better system or I need my money back. I have called both Frontier City management and national Six Flags management and have been dismissed and then told I would receive an email or phone call and no one has called or emailed. Im about to bring this to the attention of the media, unfortunately.

5/26/2020 - New Measurements were released today REQUIRING all employees and patron to wear a face mask while visiting this outdoor theme park. I purchased season passes and dining passes for me and my family in the beginning of March before this “pandemic” occurred. I did not agree to the new policies or requirements when I purchased these passes and would like a full refund. Unfortunately, all communication is deleted on social media or blocked if you are against their policies. I understand it’s a private company - but I didn’t agree to wear a mask or agree to invasive health checks when spending a large chunk of money to enjoy six flags theme parks with my family. I’ve contacted the company in hopes of receiving a refund for the $700+ dollars spent on season and dining passes to use at multiple parks we visit each year. I would give zero stars if I could.

Enjoyed the day with lots of nieces, nephews, sister & one of my sons. Beginning of 2019 season and several bus groups were there, employee appreciation group from our home town causing lines to be extremely long to wait on ride, a few favorite rides were not running, very expensive to be able to buy drinks or food for all of our kids they got thirsty & hungry. Good fun for doing something with kids they had never done however it was very expensive for tickets & parking at $20 is absolutely horrible to charge on top of ticket prices. Not affordable at all for families with 2 or more children. Wouldnt suggest for an afforable outing with family.
