Single room exhibit with about 8-10 cars. The Friendly tour guide clearly knows her stuff about them, and was able to provide detailed explanations of the cars histories.
A genius designer with so many patents. The first to recognize the energy of the escaping gas from the muzzle, could be used to activate the action. His innovations and his fathers before him, are all prominently displayed. The museum is small but has all the important stages of his designs. A good prerequisite place before going over to the Cody, WY museums.
It was good to see all the guns and the history. The museum was clean and maintained.
I have been a firearms fan for a long time. Browning is where a lot of it all started. This place is awesome, I wish I had more time to talk to the gentleman there. It isnt often someone can tell me something about Browning I dont know. The train stuff was great too. Only thing I dont recommend is the Chinese cafe. Eek.
Awesome antique firearms collection and large cut-away views of some.
Good representation of his designs and his association with Winchester... Early designs up to current
An awesome place to go for firearms history. Doing all of the guns for the sporting aspect of hunting and target practicing. And the weapons he helped develop to win will War 1 at war 2. He was a prolific genius. 1 of a kind of firearms and first run productions.
Wonderful experience. The guide not only knew his stuff but he frightened me severely. 5 stars
John Browning is one awesome dude. The museum has a lot of Browning firearms that you would never see anywhere else.
A great museum. Very interesting and informative.
Nice museum about the greatest firearms mind the US ever had.
An impressive collection of some fine pieces of history. Ive been a few times when visiting Ogden and it seems like I see something new every time. Worth the stop if youre considering it.
Joe took time to walk us around the museum to tell us the history of Browning. Highly recommend this museum to any fellow gun lover.
Great display for the history and firearms buff.
Lots of guns. A bit boring if you are not a gun freak. Otherwise it can be good to visit.
Good museum about one of Americas geniuses. A must see, unbelievable what he accomplished in a life time.
Multiple museums in one location, very clean with easy access to and from the freeway.
I love guns. Old guns, new guns, doesnt matter; I just love them. With that love of guns comes a respect for the great John Browning and his many firearm creations. This place is a great showcase for Brownings work.
Well worth going. Ive been to other fire arms museums (including the NRA museum in Washington DC). While some have been larger or had more pieces, this one is special as it has all of John Brownings prototypes for his patents.
Great piece of western history right in our own backyard!
A plethora of historic weapons and tales. Ogden has many people who knew of or can relate stores of the Browning dynasty. The Browning Museum has one of the most complete collections of guns this side of the Mississippi! Not a large place but the guns are encased in glass and easy to look at with placards explaining what each gun did, when it was made and more.
Great history
Highly recommend for gun lovers out there. This museum has everything under the sun when it comes to Brownings with some unique artifacts and history
One of the best museums for gun lovers
Good collection of Browning rifles and family momentos
Not all historians are gun owners, but almost all gun owners are historians! If you are into history as well as forearms this museum is a Cant Miss and should be on every gun collectors bucket list!Although relatively small, it houses Brownings original gun shop as well as a fabulous collection of John Brownings original prototype firearms....those that made him famous as well as making many others famous! Many of his prototypes are still in the white and include the early Winchester purchases, the 1911, the Hi-Power, Potato digger, BAR, the 1917, 1919 and M2 beltfed guns, sporting shotguns (most notably the Auto 5) and a history of each (and I left out a bunch that deserve equal time!)He was without doubt the worlds greatest firearms designer and maker of all time and most modern guns owe a piece of their design to John Browning.Again, relatively small so you can go through it very quickly, or you can spend a couple hours pondering how the mind of such a great designer worked,The only improvement I would make would be to improve the lighting a bit and make it easier to photograph the various guns inside their display cases.
Its a bit smaller than I expected but a really nice collection. Definitely worth a visit especially for only $5
Awesome
The people were very nice and accommodating my dad works for the railroad and I was able to get in for free
This whole museum complex is quite good. The old train station has been repurposed in a useful way.
If you like history and firearms this is a super place to see.
Wonderful exhibits. The staff is very knowledgeable. Planning on going back soon!
Small, but very nice examples of original models and prototypes. Well done
Such a great place. They did a great job and its intresting to learn the history.
If you are a firearms fan, this should be a bucket list item. An amazing collection of John Brownings hand made prototypes.
Great place to learn about fire arms
Horrible management. Who kicks a 90 year-old employee (with mild dementia) literally out to sit on the curb after 6 years of pleasant and friendly customer service?Come for the cars, stay for the inexperienced, ineffective, and temperamental new management.
I like to visit annually!
Museum could have had more on display and the guy running the place was extremely talkative and a bit rude.
Love going to the browning museum as I am a direct Descendant of Johnathan Moses Browning. It was neat seeing all his inventions and car collection.
Fantastic museum...the docent...Joe...was very knowledgeable and provided a very informative tour.
