Great park with playground and huge grass field. Great for picnics. Theres also a bike trail which leads to the beach. I love this park.

We came here to walk the dogs. Two huge grass fields with a playground in the middle of it. Very nice and relaxing. Lots of soccer practice was going on, a nice place to burn some energy. You can park at the west side of the park which is the school otherwise there is a northern parking lot running up and down the north of the park.

Huge turf area. Popular youth soccer venue. Parking near the San Luis Rey River Trail for cycling. Very nice.

Nice clean grassy park along the San Luis river trail. Picnic tables and clean restrooms. Parking available to access the trail. Not too far from a few fast food restaurants on the north side of the river.

This park is awesome!! And tons of space so perfect for following social distancing guidelines and children can run around, plenty of parking, sports to watch, perfect for running, and best part is how clean it is and how there are no sketchy people and it is family friendly :)

This is a nice park. It has soccer fields, a playground for the kids and more. Its also a good place for a walk--one lap around the park is about a mile.

What a beautiful park. We come here for family events. Sporting events. Just to take my son to the park. You can ride Or walk all the way to the beach. Mance Buchanan Park is just absolutely gorgeous.

Free parking, clean park and has some nature close to a busy road with restaurants, a school and residental areas.

Our puppies love to visit the park, it is a dog friendly park, people need to keep the park clean and pickup after their pets soil the grass areas.The trail offer bags to pickup and for disposal of pets poop.Please use them.Other than this, the park, playground, bathrooms and picnic areas are great. I could give 5 stars only if visitors were more grateful by keeping the park clean of dog poop.

Well kept,places to sit,dog disposal and bags. And its a perfect day.

My kids love this park! The huge climbing rock and rope tree make it stand out from the other parks around. It still has your typical kid play structures and swings as well. The public bathrooms werent that bad either, I was very surprised the soap dispenser actually had soap! Weve come here for soccer games for the adults as well, theres lots of space.

During the week the fields are usually open and theyre very clean. There is lighting in case games happen to cross over into night time. Overall pretty nice place.

Terrific place to walk. Flat and one lap around is about equal to a mile. Lots of other walkers which is good for safety. Pretty lawn, trees and landscaping.

Beautiful park. I had my coffee in hand and sat watching the beautiful sunrise this morning. Im so used to watching the sunset on the West coast, I forget to appreciate what the morning has to offer.

I love this park and so does my daughter. There are always kids here and activities are constantly going on. They have multiple structures for kids of all ages to play on and they offer two swing sets. There is plenty of open grass space for many activities. This is a great place to come play, hang out, have a picnic or a large family party. One of the best parks in Oceanside.

Its close, nice large open area to walk dogs and plenty of parking...not a huge crowd..most ppl are excercising or walking dogs. If i dont have a lot of time to go out into backcountry to explore this is where i take my dog. Also play structure for kiddos and huge grass area for playing w kids.

Clean park with nice location. The only issue that I ever have here is with vagrants and undesirables coming out of the walking trail area to bathe in the public restroom sinks.

Beautiful and in the middle of the city

Wonderful place to take the family and pets for a picnic and playtime. There are a lot of fields for sports and a moderately sized playground with swings at both ends. There are two buildings, one at the center and the other at the East end of the park. Each building has restrooms and water fountains. For bikers using this as a stepping off point for the bike trail, there is a stand with tools and a pump for last minute adjustments before your ride. Parking is limited.

Great place to run or bring your dog for a walk. Soccer fields are pretty nice and the grounds are kept pretty clean.

Home sweet home

Im a referee who comes here quite often to work. The fields are really good. Unfortunately, because if how long the park is, it is hard to go from one to another. Another real negative I would say is that parking is EXTREMELY hard unless you arrive with s lot of time. There is plenty fo greenery. There are little to no holes on the ground to affect play. All in all it is a great park to go to for fun or to play soccer.

It could use more swings and shade. Its a nice park to bring a soccer ball to or a frisbee as there is a ton of open, grassy field space. Its right next to the bike trail so you can rest here (if you can find some shade) mid-ride.

Great park, sidewalks wrap around the park which makes for perfect place to teach kids bike riding. Playground is large and kept in great shape, bathrooms nearby with water fountains.

Usually plenty of parking and safe to start your bike ride or jog/walk from. Next to and on the San Luis river trail, 7.2 miles from the coast. Enjoy!

Love this park! Great soccer fields. Kids play ground. A loop around the park is almost a mile. The San Luis River Trail runs along side the park, and goes to the coast. Parking can be tough on soccer weekends.

Great Community Park and well maintained its realllllllllly long narrow makes for tricky parking. But hey your their for recreation so shut up, park and walk - get some exercise fatty.

This park has large fields for playing sports and a nice play area for kids to play on and wear themselves out. Theres also a nice path around the park for doing laps and it also gives access to the bike path that takes you all the way to the beach.
