Why is an outdoor kart track this good so far from Jax? The Go-Karts are good - the course takes most of the 10 minute session to get used to (like some of the braking points and best apexes).But the Rotax 125s are where the real fun is at. $32 for 10 - see how many laps you can get in - 16+?!

I had a great time and the carts were fast. It was more than I expected and would defenatly go back and recommend to friends and family.

Drove the 60 mph Rotax carts. Super fast and super fun. Nice people. You must try them.

Haha, this place is awesome. If you are reading this and driving down the highway, change your destination right now and stop here. Driving 45 mph go carts has to be one of the coolest things you can do. It’s also not that expensive. Just make sure that your kids are above 12 I believe.

We travel from NY to OGP to race. Nate and his team are very welcoming and do whatever they can take you feel at home there. We love going back and will be back at OGP this Feb, March 2020.

My sons and I had a blast on the karts. 1st karts I ve been on that go faster than we could drive them. Very cool.

These people have a great facility. The track is well designed, well maintained, the cars drive well, and the staff are always friendly but still keep safety 1st. They have both the regular gas go karts and the high powered Rotex units. For racing fun or family fun this is a great place!

The track was ok but the guys in the showroom are a hoot and a half! Will come back simply to hear those 2 comedians give us a hard time! THEYRE SO FUNNY! The one with the long hair calls the handsome one a lady and they have a good back and forth. Who knew buying tickets and signing waivers could be so much fun?

They dont let me ride becoase they said paved was wet and was not real.they just not want work i think.

Great track, fun cars, good value. Theres also a nice covered area so you can wait for your turn in the shade. Id recommend the club cars for the casual driver. The rotax cars are awesome, but also a bit more difficult to drive quickly.The only improvement Id suggest is that the starting process could be streamlined a bit so theres less time between races.

Love this place! I heard so much about it from my elder brother who frequents this establishment and he had nothing but good things to say about it so when I moved to Ocala I knew I had to try it out. I have now tried their Club Karts (maximum fun if youre fairly new or not a champion racer) and their Rotax Karts - FAST AF and you better believe when they tell you. I say if you want to have fun racing around on this amazing track (wish it was a tad bit longer but still so much fun regardless), you should start with their Club Karts and if youre feeling lucky Id dare you to try their Rotax karts the same day. Have fun!!

Called more than once throughout day and was assured this place woulf be open till 6pm we 3 get here at 537pm and cannot go for a 10min ride because they are closed when i mention how i called before hand to make sure this wouldnt happen staff says well we closed for rentals 20min before we close because we have a party coming at 6pm i say its not 6pm its not even 540pm yet and he says sorry were closed. I drove 45min from gainesville for nothing.

Great experience!Friendly staff. Guys helped me adjust my car and strapped the helmet on my head haha. It was a great first impression. If you plan on going here do be easy on the brakes, you will spin lol. Id recommend this to anyone who is looking for an good rush. Also its wayy better w friends and family.

So much fun! I totally suck at it but the staff is really nice and great at making sure that your kart is set up properly for you. Definitely worth the money. Thank God I dont live closer or if end up being super broke from spending all my time here.

This is my happy place! Once you are confident in the Club karts, I highly recommend trying out the Rotax karts. Its a much more intense and challenging experience that is worth every penny. OGP has ruined amusement parks for me - why wait in line for hours and walk for miles all day when this is cheaper, more engaging, just as fun, and less of a wait. Make sure to request a seat pad if youre smaller in stature, and dont hesitate to speak up if you need your seat or pedals adjusted - the staff are happy to accommodate you.

Fun track. Good facilities. This review is mainly for the club racing. The effort to organize parking is definitely good to see. Could always use some improvement, but thats to be expected with any task like that.Schedule was stuck to for the most part, but the days are simply way too long. Especially in the event of a delay. When racing starts at 8am, 8pm seems like a longs time to be out there for the last race. I havent thought of any solutions yet given the kart counts so this is less of a complaint than just an observation. Staff puts in great effort. Definitely worth the trip to participate in a club race there. Really enjoyed our time there.

We called in advance to make sure the tracks were open and they assured us it would. It was my first time go carting and I was so nervous because we got the fastest ones. It’s pretty pricey for the price but soooo worth it considering we came for devils den which was a $50 entrance and got a little bored on our three day stay in Ocala so we found out about this on google which we don’t have back home in Miami.even if it was only 10 minutes, it was even more memorable than a devils den I had a blast and since I’m not from here it’s a one in a lifetime thing. We had too much fun we’ll totally be back.

The racers always have a blast (the fast cars are definitely worth the extra $$). The viewing section for those unable to race (due to age or injury) is rough. Itd be nice if they allowed you to pay $1-2 to sit in the better shaded, and better view, viewing area.

Went to buy some racing fuel and the man running the place seemed to have no idea whats going on. Finally got the fuel though

Went out after ensuring rentals were available on the website. Staff inside said it was a race day so I advised him the website did not state there were no rentals for that day. He rudely said look at the calender on the website. (The calender of course did not say no rentals.) Went out to the track to watch the race and asked to leave due to not having an armband. As I was leaving George (the Owner) was standing right there. How can he allow this type of service to continue. A service company that continues to advise consumers what cannot be done is terrible. OGP used to be so engaging to the the average consumer. Do not know what happen.Will not be back to OGP.

The karts are well put together. Its tough to create consistent karts when doing rentals as many customers mishandle them. The staff was courteous and made sure to stress safety to those who were new to karts. The prices are great.

Excellent track, plenty of space to challenge yourself and others when it comes to passing and cornering. The karts are FAST, so if you like an adrenaline rush then this is the place for you. Totally worth the price, even on the weekend!!My advise before visiting OGP, or leaving a bad review, is to call the location the day before AND the day of your visit to ensure that the place is open for rentals. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they do their best to keep the online calendar up to date, but as with any business things do come up. This is my only gripe, so please be proactive in ensuring kart rentals will be available on the day of your visit.Other than that, I highly recommend the Rotax karts, you wont regret it!!

My husband and I are from Montana, but travel to the Orlando area to visit family twice a year...we tell them we will see you on Monday...when actually we fly in on Friday so we can spend the weekend at OCALA GRAN PRIX!!! Its an addiction!!! So much fun for us, and the staff is very friendly, accommodating, the facility is clean and so much room!

Love racing here always a blast. it is a little pricey but for the price you can not beat the fun you have with family and friends

I would leave zero stars if I could. I called ahead and asked for reservations, but the lady on the phone said they didnt take any. No problem, I told her we were coming Saturday evening and wanted to be sure we could race. She said to get here before 6:30 because thats when we stop selling tickets. So, we got there at 4:45 to make sure we could ride. We drove 45 minutes and walk in excitedly ready to race. Nope! Theres a private party that has reserved the track from 5 to close. The lady who had answered the phone apologized and remembered me calling, but said someone didnt put the event on the calendar. She called the manager or owner to come in, and he rudely said that they rent out the track 3 times a week this time of year and its better to call day of, or reserve the track months in advance. No help whatsoever. He then proceeded to tell me how often the track is reserved for the next month, and how he cant be open to the public those days. No apology. No concession. No rescheduling.I get that we all make mistakes, and a negative review wouldnt have been written for this situation if it seemed like they genuinely cared and wanted to make it right. Someone with any common care of its customers realizing that your organization dropped the ball would have made some type of offer and apology to make it right. There was nothing. No asking us to come back. No apology. It was as if it was my fault that I didnt call months in advance, and this seemed to be the owner of the track. How can you expect employees to provide customer service if you dont care?My advice is to call in advance AND the day of. Dont waste a trip without knowing for certain theyre open and running -because, like many of the other reviewers have said, they certainly dont care about you wasting your time.

Took are grandson for the first time it was awesome our grandson it was to short of time

Went up on a Saturday to get some riding time in. They tell us that the wait time is going to be around 20-30 minutes and that this is now typical since they dropped their prices. We decide we will wait, but find out after 15 minutes in we will have to wait another 30-40 minutes since their was a group ahead of us that had left and came back that they were not aware of.The track seemed nice and the staff friendly. It just seemed poorly managed, and should have set times for when their customer races can be slotted in. They did refund our money without any hassle.Hopefully they will upgrade some of their systems and get some good tracking software to better plan for their customers.

Great place to go go-kart racing but I suggest going if you have go-karting experience. But a great place. No bathrooms unless you go through flea market in same building or portable bathrooms.

I haven’t been to Gran Prix but i called ahead since i had some questions. i spoke to Joanne(sorry if i spelt it incorrectly) she was amazing, she answered every question i had and even recommended another place that would be less impactful.

Had to wait and were not informed of that. Left after an hour. Refused refund

What a great track for both kids and adults! I highly recommend OGP for any karter, young or old. The staff is professional and the track is state of the art. From Amber who greets you at the door to Charlie, Jesse and Frank who manage the track, it is a great experience.

Looking forward to seeing our boy enjoy his passion for racing only to be told after we bought his race ticket that we had to pay to be in close proximity (like in the stands)... apparently the stands are pit passes lol)... We had to walk a couple of hundred yards to one free stand that apparently was far enough from the imaginary pit...only to sit with signs warning us if we littered the free stand wouldnt be free either...omg.... needless to say we only paid for the initial race as the atmosphere was so negative. The crazy thing was we were ready to all race and drop a lot more dime to race together, but luckily we only paid for the first race for our son to test the track..our son said the course was nice but the PIT boss ran us off with his demeanor...

This was a great experience, I purchased my kart used about two years ago and never got to drive it till now. I had OGP shake the kart down and it ran perfect. The staff was polite and professional. I gained so much information, so much needed by this 62 year old beginner. My off to all of you at OGP. Thanks for everything.

Just got back (2:00pm 9/3/17)!! Had a blast! Karts are faster than any Fun Zone kart- positively spooky if you really push it, or, you can take it easy like my youngest son did and enjoy the ride. No issues w/staff (if a problem, maybe they fixed it). If you have 3+ people who know how to drive you can have some SERIOUS, no joke, racing! Thats on the 9hp karts! If you have a death wish, rent the Rotax karts! LOL. Kart for sale on their wall for $2,500-These things arent cheap folks! If you think renting is expensive, TRY BUYING ONE!!! Then buy land, pave a track,....not so PRICEY now is it!?
