Its a bridge. Fine to paddle under or drive over. Other than that I have no opinion.
Its definitely a cool bridge if bridges are your thing.
There nice places to sit on either side of the water the Oakland side has a nice mutual and is a great place to drink a beer and watch the sunset.
The fruitvail railroad bridge is a cool old bridge that can be raised up if there are passing boats/ships in the canal, tho the trains stopped running to alameda,.they have actually pulled up much of the tracks in alameda,so the railroad span of the bridge is in a semi permanent raised up position. It dose a low for great viewing of the Huge chain hoist that is used.and looks rather interesting suspended at that height. You can walk on both sides of the car bridge(located right next to the railroad bridge)as to get great vantage points to look or photograph the bridge.dont think there are many like this still around.
Its a bridge. Why am I rating it? Im not an engineer.
Historic landmark and still in use.
Interesting railroad bridge. It is considered an historic landmark, despite the current bridge only being built in 1951.It is not currently in use, but the bridge tender of this bridge also controls the neighboring Miller Sweeney bridge.
No more trains cross as well there are no more tracks on the Alameda side but the bridge remains . A visio of the past (?).
Good bridge. It is one of my favorite bridges to get across the estuary
Cuz its Oakland ca
Decent bird watching
Beautiful sight
Just a homeless camp of poor helpless crook
Take this bridge all the time, you gotta love any bridge that brings you home.
This bridge is paved and much nicer compared to the Park Street Bridge that tends to get a little slippery when it rains. It is a draw bridge, so when the boats have to get through it can take a while to cross to the other side.
Its just a bridge that uses to allow trains over...
Used to jump off this bridge into the Estuary when I was just a wee lad
Biking across this bridge is not fun. Despite the room for bike lanes, the country has done nothing to support multimodal transportation across the estuary to Alameda or Bart
Great view
Fun time
