I was part of a wedding held in the Park. We walked in about 10 minutes, and the wedding was held on a bridge in the park. The trails were clear, well-marked, and comfortable walking. Most of the wedding group stayed behind at the pavilion, where an informal reception was held. A beautiful site!
Short hike, very easy at the beginning, it gets a little hard at the peak, nice views.
Quiet, peaceful trails
It was a nice little hike for the kids. Not too strenuous, and some nice views from the top. Definitely worth the time.
Wonderful hidden gem of a place! There is good parking and a picnic gazebo. I would say the red trail is of medium difficulty because of the uphill hike and rocks. But the view is so worth it!! You can see long Island sound from up there and the Q Bridge. It must be really cool at night with the bridge lit up. When you are almost to the top at the first big rock turn to your left to see it. I do recommend bug spray. It took one hour to get to the top.
Great park for walking around. However, driving there is a bit awkward. The parking is on a tiny side road.
This is a great piece of public land in North Haven. You can tell the Peters Rock Association really cares about this park. Its a fantastic place to go for a hike. Trails are clearly marked and easy to follow. There is at least one ankle breaker trail, so watch your footing! Climb your way up to the summit and take in some great views of North Haven, Hamden, and the tidal marshes.
Nice little park. Doesnt seem like a lot of people come here so its a good place for a quiet walk.
If you want to see an awesome view, try the red trail. A little bit difficult but totally worth it!
Good place for hiking and mountain biking.
I loved the woods. My mothers family lived in a home that backed on these woods. They spent many happy hours playing there. I visited these woods and loved the beauty and joy i felt there. Most of her generation is gone but i felt their joyful spirits there
Very creepy. Went for a hike alone and I didnt feel safe. Left after a few minutes.
Great place for a hikeNice shady walk and a great workout.
Great place to go himibg
Great short hikes and views. Easy to combine trails for a longer hike
Nice little park with well marked trails and a awesome view at the summit!
For a town owned park this place is good and has a lot of potential. It has good jogging trails, a picnic table area, and a communal garden. I give it two stars because it always seems to have trash somewhere on the trails, there are invasive plant species that are out of control there, and there is a woeful paucity of EBird data for the location. If those changed, I would edit my rating up.
