If you Google directions it will send you to the back of a field, not the entrance. Go to the south side off Patten road and you will find the entrance easily. The trails are marked very well. I went on a rainy Sunday w my dog and we were the only ones there. It was a nice 30 min loop, we went out the yellow and back on the blue. The blue trail goes up to the middle ridge. It is clear the trails are well kept bc they had cleared the paths that were blocked recently by felled trees in the hurricane winds. Overall a very nice escape.
Its a really nice little park great for a mini hike with the dogs!
Great Hiking, training, fishing, and large and small game Hunting.
Nice, short, easy to navigate trails. If youre looking for a longer walk, the trails all loop together. Perfect for walking the dog. There are never any crowds, so its great if youre looking for some time away from the world.
North Havens best little secret. It has woods to hike on trails.& a clean pond for dogs to drink/ swim in.And it also offers a huge, open grassy meadow if you choose to get some sun & let your dogs run free in complete serene openness. Its very lovely there...
It was not on the map for a long time. I enjoy it since there is almost no one here. Some dog owners come here to walk their dogs. Really nice quiet place
Small place but does include a steep hill climb depending which way you go. The climb up is rewarded by a stroll on a relatively narrow ridge. Its worth a visit.
Nice loop hike with easy rise to views
I dont remember this park being here while growing up in North Haven (70-80s), but then again, I wasnt as much into hiking back then. While in the area visiting family, I decided to grab some local geocaches. There are two in this park. Both were along the blue trail, so thats the only one I experienced while here. But that alone was enough. It was a steep climb at first (coming from Patten), but once it leveled out, it was a great view down either side of the trail. Looking at the map, there are several trails available, so I would imagine one could make a good long hike and cover them all in a day.
Had a lot of fun with my nephew.
It is a great park for hiking or running laps in the shade.
Great little trail run, rarely crowded, pretty clean, not overwhelming or difficult.
Nice place for a short hike
