An easy jog in this park and its adjacent to another park, so you can complete a half mile between the two parks. There are two gazebos for parties, but Im not sure what current rules are due to an ongoing pandemic. There is a hal-coirt and playground area too, but I think the higglight of this park is the walkways and possibilities for jogging.
Nice park that is elongated running north-south. Has paved side walks and a small creek running through. Has pick nick tables both in the open and some with covering. Has a playground for kids. Also has open fields and a baseball area. Is within walking distance to a neighborhood to the west. Parking lot is small and a few items need repairing like the sign with the name of the park “Frances Cate Park”. Note no restrooms. Overall nice park.
Walked Round the park . was very pleasant except for the small pile of used syringes (9)..in the main gazebo . I went back home and grabbed my dust pan & broom, Came back and sweep them up .
Nice ball park.
It’s pretty far away from any parking, full of weeds/tall grass and bugs, and some of the toys get really hot as they are metal and have no shade. It does have some really unique toys!
It is a small park. Kids would enjoy the playground.
Nice clean place to play
A very cute park. Great place for Pokemon-go.
Kids LOVED the space and toys!
I enjoy going here with my grandchildren I just wish they would put sand or pebbles instead of would chips my granddaughter got splits in her hands
Love this place there is always some thing goin on
Really nice park. Pretty quite.
A very large neighborhood park with plenty of space to play most any outdoor sports. New playground equipment. A very large perimeter thats good for walking/jogging/running. It has a new pavilion with picnic tables under it. A spacious & accessible park.
Nice big open area with a relatively new playground, several picnic areas, a soccer field with goals, baseball/softball backstop, and many benches and trashcans. Would certainly have to be considered a large park in the city of Norman, maybe the largest one Ive been to and Ive lived here for 38 years. More then enough room to do whatever you want, even if there were many other visitors there. I inserted 8 am - 8 pm for summer hours but as with all parks in Norman, the area is open from sunrise to sunset.
Its a great place to ride your bike
I grew up at this park and I am now taking my kids to it. My kids will play while my husband and I jog around the sidewalk to get some exercise in. This is a great place to relax and there is a porch swing for the adults to sit on while the kids play.
My dog loves it.
Frances cate is a big park with a couple of sheltered picnic areas. It was some toys to play on, a couple of soccer goals, & 1 baseball backstop. It does need some work though, but the city is slowly making improvements.
Awesome as awsome can be!! The old insian asylum is absolutly amazeballs, the energies radiating from were ingulfing. And the old church in front if it is stunning.
