Good place for boating but dont attempt to fish there. Much better places to go fishing elsewhere. Camping and RV hookup spots and a few little playgrounds for kiddos. Its pretty and full of deer/wildlife. Definitely not one of my favorite parks but its okay for a quick outing.

We bring our rv and camp here often with our grandkids. There are several good campgrounds and easy access boat ramps. However, most times we do have to clean up trash and cigarette butts from the area we rent. Just wish folks could be more considerate and help keep our state parks clean. Especially with covid-19, its a safe haven for everyone to come out and enjoy what our state parks have to offer. Everyone, please do your part and enjoy.

My partner and I came out with our Yorkie for the weekend. Had to move our sites after setting up but thanks to the friendly and helpful camp host Kelly, we are currently enjoying our own piece of Okie paradise here at Mullet Hill. Kelly helped me check in online and this morning I chatted with a groundskeeper while she tidied the bathrooms, which are certainly clean to my camping comfort standards. :) You will want to watch out for stickers but other than that deer are out, the trails clear are great for hiking and biking. We are having a great time, hope your next trip goes as well as ours!

Its a quaint SP with neat campgrounds and trails. The lake is pretty, you can boat, fish or swim in the swim beach. We went for a hike this weekend and plan to reserve campsite for future.Didnt find the restrooms clean though, at the Little Sandy campground.

Great place to camp but the reason I give one stars is I wanted to move my date up so my airforce husband could join and was charged other $30 I had to spend $62.00 just for two nights when everyone else in the group payed $32.00 for two night!! Im applied at how my military family was treated!! Might not be coming back!! Was treated rudely when called to ask why I was doubled charged!! Great place to be but when askings to just move up a date so someone could join then being charged again is just plan bad business in my view!! We just moved here and was just looking for a place to camp

Dont waste tour time or money here. I was really disappointed when I went to their website and spent half an hour trying to find out important information like how much the campsites cost or even basic contact information and I couldnt find any of that on there website and after I Googled their phone number and found their contact information through an outside source I then called them and found out that their TENT campsites cost $16 per night which is absolutely outrageous on top of that if you happen to add another tent they charge you an EXTRA $16 per night WHAT A RIP OFF! I can only imagine what an rv would cost my god lower your prices

Went fishing here with some friends, it was our first time here so we had a hard time finding the fishing pier. When we did, we were hoping to fish alone, but there were other people. Luckily it was big enough for all 8 of us to be 6ft apart and fish.Lots of boaters also got a bit close to the no wake signs...causing wakes.Lines also got caught a bunch, but we caught a couple fish including a big catfish.Regardless had some fun before it got too hot!

Two RV spots were rented and paid for right by the water. But anyone can walk through your campsite and do as they please apparently. Even though the spot you paid for is yours for the weekend. We asked the people not to walk through our campsite, the people became upset and mad and apparently called the park ranger and lied saying that we told them they couldn’t use the beach. Which is a lie. We asked people to NOT walk through our campsite. It’s absolutely rude. The park ranger then shows up and was rude to us and wanted a step by step replay of where the people walked and where they placed each foot. Then went on to say the people have no other access to the water and HAVE to walk and trample through our campsite. Then proceed to tell us that “there’s no reason for us to be upset”. There is a reason for us to be upset! Walking through people’s PAID campsites is trashy and rude!!! NEVER will be back to this joke of a place. And you expect people to pay for your spots?? That apparently anyone can freaking use. No thanks!

Reasonably well maintained and fairly level and paved pads. It seemed to have a lot of flies for some reason though. Possibly because trash dumpsters nearby were overflowing. VERY CROWDED (full) on weekend! Tight navigating between trees lining road in a place or two.

Thunderbird is the only lake I usually visit. Its not too far from my city and its always satisfied all of my summer needs. Camping, (and its cheap!) swimming, fishing, cooking out, playing with the kiddos on the boat, jetskies, and tubes. Ive had many many birthday parties at this location. I also have friends that rent a spot year round on a private section near the clear bay entrance. Definitely one of my favorite places to go whether with my kids, family and friends, or even all by my lonesome.

The lake is beautiful! The camp sites and bathroom were disgusting. Trash and beer cans everywhere- yes even on the bathroom floor. Maybe with COVID they stopped managing the grounds... people came in and out with no reservations and parked and partied where ever. The folks in the site next to us literally had to kick some unregistered partygoers off their site when they got there.I picked up two bags of trash off the beach and please wear shoes as there is broken glass everywhere. Another two bags of trash from our site when we got there. The RV sites look nicer and I saw grounds people picking up trash there but if don’t have a $100,000 RV don’t expect much from this state run park.

Clear Bay area has Hiking and Mountain Biking trails as well as trails for Horses. Considering the lack of Mountains the trail builders in this area have done an exceptional job of trail building. They have gotten pretty creative with ravines and drainages to create a better than you would expect for Oklahoma trail system. The trail markers could be a little better which at one time they were. Looks like time has taken a toll on the original trail markers.
