Maxwell Park has a little something for everyone. Tennis courts, playgrounds, pavilions, dog park, and a full 18- hole disc golf course. None of these are ever overly crowded. Just an all around nice place for family activities.

It has an old school merry go round...enough said..lol 2 play areas, water fountains, lots of nice sidewalk. 5 STAR park!!

Maxwell Park is a nice family park! This park has two big play sets, a merry-go-round, and two sets of swings. Their are multiple covered pavilions, water fountains, and restrooms. Their is also a basketball court and off street parking!

Frolf, kids equipment,tennis courts, dog park, covered pavilions for BBQ, and restrooms. Whats not to like? Easy access parking lots and off street parking. Well maintained by the city. Lots of fun races (cross country, obstacle courses, etc)

Stopped by on our road trip to Wisconsin from Texas. Its not right off interstate. But takes maybe 5-10 minutes to get there. It was good weather, so it was a nice stop.

I really liked this park for our 2 yr old there is alot for him to do. From 2 different playground areas, a merry go round which I havent seen in forever, swings and lots of area to just run and have fun. There is a nice little picnic area thats covered with bathrooms available. I have to say the only thing I was worried about is how close it is to the street a fence around the area would be nice but other than that its def a park I can see us taking our LO to over and over again.

I walk my dog here all the time. A very nice park.

Well maintained and clean park. The parking situation can be difficult if theres a game or overall a busy day at the park, but overall a nice place to go with the family

My friends and I always love coming here to play games like spikeball.

We stop at this wonderful dog park which is Midway between St Paul and Columbus. They have separate areas for big and little dogs.

Took the dog for a walk while the kid rode the scooter. The park is clean and well maintained. Kids were playing on the working playsets. Parking was sparse due to a softball game.

What a nice safe dog park a short way off the highway to break up or long drive!

We had fun in the playground in the snow and without it. Theres not much to block the wind though. The dog park is wonderful. Plenty of room for pets to sprint.

If you add in the high schools track, this has got to be one of the largest grassy fields in the world. The forest adjacent to the highway is small, but well-kept.

Maxwell is part of a kind of campus of parks & rec spaces between Parkside middle school and Normal West high school. There is a nice easy disk golf course (18 hole) with convenient parking and few threats of a lost disk (one basket is backed by a stream, and the hole immediately after that runs adjacent to that stream as well). There is also a walking/running/mountain biking trail in the woods that borders this section of the course. The wooded area has a network of trails through it but the perimeter is probably 3/4 mile at most. These trails have recently been cleaned up from overgrown vegetation and corn that was washed down in the spring storms. To the east there are pavilions with parking, along with water fountains. Thats also where tennis and basketball courts, two childrens play sets (on wood chips) with swings, slides, tunnels, etc. are located. A big open field on the corner of Gregory and Parkside is large enough for any number of pick up sports. Just north of the Gregory parking lot are horseshoe pits and a dog park.
