Very nice park with a cool walking trail around the reservoir. The trail connects to other local trails and to white clay.

Lovely park good spot to get the kids out and great spot for adults to take a nice scenery walk or simply a bike ride or hill run. I didnt see a ton of pull up bars here but aside from that very clean and great for a walk.

The view at the top of the reservoir is beautiful. It is one of the best walking meditation areas around

Theres a play ground for the kids and a trail around the park for jogging plus its dog friendly and you can skate/cycle around great experience over all

The Newark Reservoir, one of the best places for a walk or a run or simply to catch a breath of fresh air. Though located close to Newark Downtown, it gives you a feeling of getting away from the rush. I have been here so many times that I kind of know where to find the deers grazing and at what time I can expect the wild geese to fly in over the reservoir. Would recommend this place to all.

It was very relaxed, not too crowded. Beautiful playground. Great walking/running circle around the reservoir but you do have to walk up a steep hill to get to it.

Quiet, peaceful. Now has a playground next to the Reservoir Parking Lot for little ones. Perfect place to go for a walk. Quite a feat of engineering too (obligated to say as an engineering student, haha).

This is also known as Prestons playground. It took a long time for it to be built, but was worth the wait. This is a very nice playground with some accessible equipment. There is plenty for kids to do and you can easily kill an hour here.

Its a scenic, quiet setting for outdoor activities like walking, jogging, biking and hiking.There is a well maintained, paved 1.1 mile path around the Newark Reservoir that is great for running. You must first make your way up to the top of the hill on a winding (about a 1/4 mile ascent) paved path. Then the fun begins.Bitds, butterflies, dragonflies ducks, geese - yup theyre all here. Paths are wide enough for users to pass each other in opposite directions. Theres a kids play area adjacent to and securely protected from the parking area. Nice park. Fairly steep hill to climb to get to the park. Wonderful view of the reservoir and the town. Very very windy by the water. Great for sunrise and sunset views. Cool woodland hiking trails next to the water.

Very nice paved trail - watch out for goose droppings though! Unfortunately, some dont clean up after their pups but not too bad.

The view from the walking pathway around the reservoir is outstanding. The expanse of water and the pump house are delightful. There are always geese and ducks coming and going.

This place is aOK for just walking jogging and sitting no area for picnic and no place to use the restroom so if you have kids, pregnant older people wants to use the restroom no place to go.
