We visited this place over Memorial Day weekend. We saw some really good jazz musicians preform. The music was great the food and the drinks were perfect. You have to call and make a reservation. Also make sure to arrive early to you reservation because even though you made a reservation you still have to wait in line. And if you’re one of the first ones in line and made a reservation at the bar you get your pick of the bar seats. Great place, great food, good service. I would recommend to anyone looking for something to do in the city with some good music.

We went there at night, pretty late, after 11pm. Prices were reasonable and they gave us a table not far from the stage. Enjoyed the jazz music from various musicians. Best late night activity in NYC. Since subway service in NYC operates 24 hours, so we took subway train back to the bnb without problem.

Dizzys Late Night is a great place to hear new talent perform. The room itself is a modern, warm, inviting venue with great views of the city. Dizzys Late Night is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The service is friendly and unrushed. The cocktails are perfectly crafted. I only wish that the late night menu included a few more food options.

I reserved a table online and by the time we got there, there were only seats by the wall.. if the seating is first comes first despite the booking, the website should have stated that clearly. We arrived hungry so we ordered food anyway, but it was very uncomfortable eating by that floating shelf area. The waitress had an attitude the entire time we were there.. also she had a fake smile on and talked to us in a degrading manner. The show was fantastic though! Thank you for that.

Ive been meaning to check out this spot for ages (10+ yrs - forgive me!) so when a good friend invited me as a plus one I took the offer. Carlos Henríquez nonet was a delightful treat and it was refreshing to have music done by a Bronx local. If you find a show with any of the performers in that nonet you must check them out, absolutely amazing performers. I also loved the variety of the pieces that Carlos put on. Ok! So the other real deal here is that the food - chef Samuels is the real deal and rather amazing at what he does. I didnt sample everything on offer but the sure delights were the gumbo and the fried cauliflower!!! The service was also rather wonderful and we were tended to by the most attentive staff and host. I really couldnt have asked for a more delightful experience at a venue! Did I mention how great the music was?!?

Great music but band seemed like a bunch of nuns told they must play jazz for people that night. Looked down at Music sheets whole time, no interaction. Be aware - this is not a Jazz CLUB - it is a Jazz venue. Meaning no dancing, no smoky cool atmosphere, nothing like that. It’s a stage, people sitting on hotel-like chairs all in same direction and staring-still at band.Somehow I thought this would be a club - I was mistaken. I recommend Andy’s in Chicago -THAT’S a Jazz club!!

I loooooove Dizzy’s! They’re keeping Jazz alive! The food is great but the place is just a little pricey. To me it’s difficult to have to spend at least $100 per person every time i go to Dizzys. I wish it was cheaper so more ppl (including a younger crowd) could experience Jazz without breaking their pocket. Still I love it and I hope it lives forever.

We went to the early show atDizzys to hear Rufus Reid. Hearing a big band sound with some excellent musicians was a treat. The show had enough variation to keep it interesting and some really impressive individual performances.Dizzys does a good job of getting people in and out and the view of the skyline of NYC in the background sets a nice scene for jazz. The service is good efficient/polite but with an impersonal sort of vibe. While my companions enjoyed their food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) I found my gumbo to be thin, rather bland, and with some un-chewable additions that seemed to be old okra. That being said you dont sign up for Dizzys for the food. Drink prices are on par for what one expects for NYC.

This smaller Jazz club is part of Jazz at Lincoln Center and featuring great traditional Jazz music performed by Veterans of Jazz as well as young up and coming musicians. The music stays pretty safe and traditional which is not a bad thing, just something to be aware of. Makes it a good tourist spot and first time Jazz show spot. Beautiful decor, solid food, fancy area of the city. The view of Central Park behind the band is pretty magical

My daughter and her friends took me here for my birthday. Since she found this online and had never been. we didnt know what to expect. The good; the band and tap dancer were awesome. Such a shame the set was so short. The drinks were great; not stingy with the liquor. To be clear, I would visit again for the music and ambiance but I do have notes. The bad; 45 dollar cover charge includes nothing but a table. Come on, that should include at least one drink per person, seriously, come on. The seating is tight, we were 6 at a table clearly made to seat 4, but you are here for the music and it was so good, we didnt mind. The ugly; service is slow. Ask for everything at once to reduce your wait time. Set is too short for the money

While the check in process took quite a while (and got a bit sweaty), it was all worth a fantastic performance by wonderful and talented Kim Nalley and the band. We got lucky with the table - just a few feet away from the stage, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening! One minor bump in the road was the underwhelming poached pear dessert (well, slightly under-poached, if I may say so), which of course didnt stop us from enjoying the jazz & blues performance with the stunning backdrop of Central Park ️

The letters they sent to get through barricades were bogus, wouldn’t get us through one!! Police laughed when we showed them told us to walk around. We walked every possible way for over 2 hours in freezing weather!! Got back to our hotel at around 10am and watched parade in the streets enjoying Dunkin Donuts! Spoke to SAM the event coordinator expressing my frustration and he’s truly rudest person ever! Told me he was looking a room full of people and if they figured it out so should I?!?!? WOW!!!!They should be reported, don’t buy tickets to any holiday event that involves getting through any kind of barricade. Traveled from Atlanta to be ripped off! So disappointed .....
