Still havent eaten here yet, but the dancing and nightlife scene is pretty amazing. The crowd is always energetic and down to have a good time, and the age and mix is extremely diverse (good thing). The music is downright amazing...try not to dance to the upbeat island riffs while taking down some of their signature cocktails...impossible!
Went for a friends birthday and had a great time dining outdoors. Food was delish, service was great. We really enjoyed ourselves.
This was a fun venue to go to on a tour with an upstate NY band Sophistafunk that performed and opened up for Big 8 Brass Band kicking off their European tour in NYC at Drom. Was my first time their and I was impressed by the energy of the event. Was alot of positive vibes and just overall great atmosphere would definitely go back again.
We enjoyed the show we saw, but the food quality was really really bad.
Small place for enjoying musical events. We came to see a Cuban piano Trio that was recommended by a friend. Admission included a meal. Really enjoyed the Chicken, Black Beans and Rice and Sweet Plantains. Sangria was a little small for the price but that wouldnt stop me from going back.
Amazing place. Good for listening to nice music while you enjoy drinks and a bite. I went there with a few of my friends and we had a good time. We got a bottle of wine for about $40-50. A drink would cost about $15-20. We enjoyed our wine with some tasty Guacamole and chips.
Fun bar! Pay one price drink all night. Service was fast and on point! Drinks were outstanding. Dance the night away.
EXCELLENT place. Such great atmosphere, me and my fiancé always come here and we’re greeted with great energy, service, food, and drinks. The staff are wonderful, the bartenders are always so friendly, LOVE the bouncer. Recommend this to everyone. A must go! :-)
I go to the DROM almost once a month to watch and photograph Schtick a pole in it - a show where they have comics and pole dancers. I can not comment on the food as I have never ordered anything to eat at the DROM, but from the small interactions I had with the staff I can say that they are all very friendly. The DROM is a medium sized venue where you can experience intimate performances of all kinds. With that said I am typically at the DROM for pole dance performances. Its a great venue for pole, just beware a small number of seats have slightly obstructed line of sight, so keep that in mind. The venue also installed new stage lighting and it looks fantastic.Mixed crowd, which is great.Side note: There is a big chandler that hangs in the middle of the venue, which is kind of neat.
Nice place, service perfect, they’re always busy but service perfect! Ambiance great, foods delicious. Thanks!
Great vibe and great atmosphere! If youre looking for a chill place with great music and good food then this is it Can never go wrong with music and food.
Ive been here a few times over the years for various things. But schtik a pole in it was a great time. Highly recommended
I went to see some live music performances. The bands were great. NoRuz and Kingsley Ibeneche! When I got inside I ordered an apple cider from the bar and went to find a seat. As soon as my friend and I approached the table (not even sat down yet) a waitress came over and aggressively told us that there was a two item minimum at the table per person. She said our apple ciders from the bar didnt count. We ordered food and they came out in a timely manner. The mac and cheese balls were so nasty. It tasted like that fake processed cheese. It came with a cheese sauce that really didnt have much taste to it. The guacamole and chips were very bland. Not even salt on the tortillas. The guac was really just avocado, lime juice and jalapeno and was very underwhelming. Overall its a very beautiful place, but Id be a bit more careful with the food. The drinks were $8 each.
Saw a comedy/poledancing night here. The show was good. Half of the comics were very funny and all of the pole dancers were very good. The venue itself is terrible. The staff were slow, the food was awful and really expensive and the drinks were pricey and weak. There’s an 18% mandatory service charge, which you can understand, as otherwise people wouldn’t tip!
Love this place, great sound, had the chance to perform there many times, great international musicians!
Best of its kind. Great music and events. Serdar knows how to do this
Staff was great, very friendly. Nice small place to see some music. Food was okay, drinks were great. Took a while to park, but it is Manhattan. Had a great time, would definitely go again.
Legendary venue hosting some of the East Village’s (and Manhattan’s) most legendary shows/nights. Something for everyone. Booth seating, food, and bar
Really nice space and acoustics. My husbands band has played there multiple times and had a good experience with the staff and all. Good spot for a live show and drinks!
It was allot of fun. I go all the time and love it. Good music and drinks. Their are never any fights and is fun to watch every one drunk stumble next door in heals to get sobering dollar pizza
Love this place! Great music, great drinks and near lots of good eats.
Live shows are the best especially when the singers singing here usually fill up arenas back where they travel from. Its great to be up close to them. Managed to see many great artists here. Turk var icerde ortamda guzel Turk olan arkadaslarimiza tavsiye ederim kesinlikle.
If you put a dog in the entrance instead of staff, you would be welcomed more helpful.
Chill NYC low key bar. I miss the days of Hot Rabbit parties at this location though.
Fun show however some of the food was really late ( friends finished eating late ) and then served cold
Nice music venue to watch live music in East Village. Seating available if you order food and drinks (2 min/person). Decent list of cocktails and appetizers to choose from at reasonable prices. It turned into a Latin club after metal/alternative bands which was an interesting switch.
Great service, so intimate, good value and features special artists.
Great venue but the sound is horrendous! The music is too loud, the microphones are too low or muffled and bass is incredibly unbalanced. Events are great there but be prepared not to hear the artists
I love the ambiance, great live music for all people on different days, call or go to the website to see whos playing during the month
Great people! easy set up. sound was impressive! had a great time! Chris Rivers Delorean party was the best show of the year, he brought out STAR RIOS for the first time. #legendary
Small sized live performance venue. The sound is good every where at the place. The drinks are decent priced 7$ sangrias. Its mainly stand up setting with a few VIP tables and a small lounge by the stage. The service is ok with moody bartenders. The waitresses are pushing through the crowd rudely to serve the VIP tables. It is not easy to see the performance from every where. Even there is down sides I would still come back to see another performance.
A little pricey, but nice atmosphere, live acts, some of which were very good.
Very good vibes. Decent sound and nice setup for live music
Place was nice but food wasn’t that good waitress is very nasty so pushy kept telling me to order and didn’t crack a smile she also didn’t tell me the tip was included and it was 4 people. terrible service. Wouldn’t go back
STAFF WAS VERY ATTENTIVE ATMOSPHERE WAS AWESOME
Letting musicians Express themselves like no other venue
Need my own show there. I loved it word up to T-Rex and Prissy
Great show. Amazingly sweet bartenders. Gorgeous space.
The food was okay..the service was meh. I wasnt impressed. It not the worst place Ive ever been buuuuuuuuuut....
The live music was absolutely awesome . The dinner was good and the wait staff very nice. The place was quaint and casual and fun was had listening to a cover of Buena Vista.
Great place with amazing music.
My friend and I had such a horrible experience. We purchased a ticket for the Sebnem Ferah concert a month ago from a VIP first-tier section. We paid $100 for our ticket, not including the tax. Soon as we arrived, we checked with the person that was going to show us our seat. Even though we paid for the VIP first tier, the manager said she gave our seat the people that arrived before us. It was ridiculous that we had to sit in the second section. What is the reason then us buying a seat ticket if they are going to do first come and first serve? She did not offer any refunds, and the only thing she suggested was giving us free sodas. I dont recommend this place to anyone. They dont know how to manage this place. The waiters and the manager were incredibly rude and not professional.I can’t reply to your feedback for some reason, but I wanted to add what I have to say here. First of all, I was not giving first-tier seats, and I have proof off it on my Instagram account; you can check it too. Second of all, I PAID for VIP first TIER section, and you did not do any favor when you made me sit on the second tier. Yes, I did not order the minimum. Because I was not supposed to sit in the second section. How could you think that I was going to order something to eat ? I was not going to order more food so you can have more money in your pocket. I paid for 100$ for those tickets, and you put me, someone, next to who paid way less than me. I already spoke to those two people who sit next to us, and they showed us their ticket. I was seated in the back and had a hard time seeing Sebnem Ferah. As I said, you can check the images I have posted. You can’t expect us to respect your organization because you bring Turkish Artists to America. I went to Tarkans and Sezen Aksus Concert, and none of the organizations handled like this. Youre selling the people the ticket while not having enough seats. This act is not acceptable.
Amazing music of all time
This was my second visit to DROM and I wasnt disappointed either time. The hostess is the mostess! She really knew how to draw in the crowd and kept them entertained between acts. All of the acts were tastefully done.
Their know how to throw a party there. Burlesque nights are the best to see. Place is great with intimate atmosphere
Cozy venue. Good sound.
The Show was Excellent. However, we ordered food and after waiting over an hour and a half we cancelled the order. The waitress said she couldnt do that and shed have to speak to her Manager! Well after about going back and forth the order was finally cancelled. She brought us the bill for our drinks and had the nerve to include a tip..Sorry we dont tip for bad service!
Nice venue. Good music and reasonable drink prices. They have great intermission dancers which was a nice treat
Drom is good. All stuff and management. You will feel comfortable.
Amazing spot for a variety of live music enthusiasts. Basic bar menu. Only been there on a Saturday night and the crowd always seems friendly. Come early if you want to pay to sit at a table or at the bar for free. The ratio of standing room to fixed seating is 3:1 and on a good nights the space can get cozy.
Chill vibe, eclectic fun crowd, great djs, and small yet somehow spacious dancefloor
The service is horrible. The women waitresses are very pushy and rude. I feel like minorities are targeted for bad service there.
I was here for watching a burlesque show. The place is spacious, nice. Whatever coctail you order they forget to put alcohol in it. Dont try the jalapeno Margarita, taste very bad!. The bar crew should learn how to make coctail+they should hire a better dj!
A good spot for live Turkish and Latino music!
Good food. Awesome music!!
Had a great time and the menu is very affordable. I am happy that I was invited here for an annual event that I loved. This has been by far my favorite venue they used thus far. The security for the night was kind and welcoming.
Had a great time at Drom!! People that attended the night I went were very friendly and the front doorman or bouncer was not overly friendly....bar staff were great but the drinks I found to be a little bit overpriced...$26+ tip for 2 drinks...and not doubkes!!! Had a great time at DROM...and thats what matters most.
A good venue for live music. The acts draw their own audiences, so the nature of the crowd varies, show to show. The food is OK, the bar is well tended, the mens room is clean.
Very dark jazzy spot in east village. Enjoyed my time at the bar
Awesome atmosphere and talented bands, cool place to check out
Drom is a place to listen to great live music, sometimes awesome ethnic bands that you cannot hear any place else. I happened to bump into a very good jazz music on a nice spring Sunday afternoon.
I liked it better when it was Opaline.
Enjoyed DJ Ian Friday and wished he were there on a regular
Went there last week for a release party and had a wonderful time. Nice atmosphere, cool corner stage and seating. Love the high ceiling!
Nice place tucked away in the basement level of Manhattans lower east side. Went there to show my support for a few fresh bands. Decent food. Reasonable prices.
Food service slow, bartenders have to work on customer service skills. Restroom gets a 3 out of 1 to 10. Music was good but first come seating...
Awesome drinks. Great food. Great vibes.
Great place, great people!
Waitresses and especially their manager were rude and disrespectful! Biggest steal happened when I closed my tab in the bar ! I includin 20% tip but later( next day) I found out they already included tip in total and didnt say a word ! Comic and pole dancing show was good but venue was sucks .
Small place but very nice one. Different kind of performances.
Nice place with a variety of shows.
I had an amazing time at Drom. Food is good. Atmosphere is good. Music ( it was a Greek music) LOVE IT VERY VERY MUCH. LOVED IT TO THE END.
The Carters: Beyonce vs Jay Z night here was dope . Affordable drinks. Fun vibe
Nice place and atmosphere. We had a table with food included. Except for the scratched cushions, everything was pleasant. Food was yummy, just service was a little slow. But in general I would recommend going to this place.
Great space for events and dancing
Went there for a day party. Security performs a thorough pat down before allowing entry. Bar is pricey considering the Lower East Side location where you can easily find better deals. As a performance venue, the speaker system is really good for the size of the venue. Stage is small and may be tough to see depending on where youre positioned.
Great! We ripped the runway
Cool venue with some of the best funky acts. Definitely a sweet venue to just drop in whether or not you know the performers. Food is definitely better than your typical bar/venue and portions are big.
DROM had the potential to earn five stars because it is a hidden jewel of a spot. However, if a two item minimum is going to be imposed, then there should be a wait staff equipped to deal with the guests. THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! We received our food one hour after we ordered and at the END of the show we were attending. RIDICULOUS! Then the audacity to add 18% gratuity to the bill.
Great time with the kids! At the time, there were local bands playing music for the kids! Such a great experience for the kids to have!
Beto Camará & Trio Little Birds in the project Meet of Forró & Samba - Drom - New York
Great bar either appetizers or a small meal There was a live show which drew in a good crowd.
Perhaps the only thing I can argue against them is the pillars in the middle of the floor. I mean, theres nothing anyone can do about it either, so Im not going to deduct a star from them for that.Otherwise, Ive heard they have been doing really great lately. Its not always perfect, but surviving in the east village for 10 years is really an outstanding achievement for any venue.
We had so much fun! Everything was perfect, and prices are very fair! See you soon !
DROM is a great venue for live music. It is also good if you enjoy older music from the 70s 80s and 90s. Staff is pretty friendly and drinks are of reasonable price.
Nice place and good music. Dont have draft beer and the bottles of beer are expensive.
Good location and decent venue but they gouge on the drinks. Come for the show but only that.
Spacious venue for live music.
The venue itself is fine. The bartenders were cool and knew their craft. The party I went to there was more than a little disorganized.
Service really to bad the tables are very small and close to each other.
A great vibe. Girls rule !
Cool music venue. Good drinks, tasty Brussel sprouts.
A farewell for a friend at this venue was the most enjoyable experience. Great food, drinks and ambience. Entertaining comedians with intervals of performances to a theme of Janet Jackson.
Dope intimate spot. Great drinks, pricey but worth it. Security is a bit pushy but can never be too safe. Sound was great. Bathroom clean. Definitely worth the money spent.
