Great venue! Large for the building yet intimate. Staff was overall helpful and ran things smoothly despite some minor hiccups along the way when ticket viewing went down while entering for the show.

Saw Whoopi Goldberg. Wished she would have taken questions from the audience. Why submit questions if no one is going to ask them.

A smallish venue in an unlikely location (The 92nd street Y) did not lead me to have high expectations. But the acoustics are marvelous! The chamber ensemble that performed sounded warm and clear. Do not pass up a chance to hear a performance in this lovely hidden gem.

What is great about this venue is that 1. The bartender is a super nice guy; 2. Drinks are not too expensive; and more importantly, 3. The performers come out after the concert to greet with the enthusiastic audience. Alice Tully Hall has a similar situation, but there is a difference between Upper East and Upper West Sides.

A pretty good space within the 92nd Street Y that holds a little under 1,000 seats. This fully world-paneled theater is a great place for live or cinema events.

Excellent venue for concerts. Give yourself extra time to pick up your tickets; the Will Call service is extraordinarily slow, mostly due to their liberal policy of making changes to patrons subscriptions at the same time people are trying to pick up their tickets for that nights concert. The sound technician for the 92nd St Y concerts is the best! Seats in the balcony offer superb sound- he knows his stuff.

DO NOT ATTEND 92Y EVENTS! Went here to see Joe Kenda for a show and book signing. Mr. Kenda was wonderful and wise and everything you expected. At the end of the show the audience was promised a book signing/photo opportunity and the ability to ask Mr. Kenda question if we wanted. When it came time for the signing the venue staff was incredibly RUDE, admonishing people for not basically lining up against the wall jailhouse style. When it came time for the signing and to take the picture the man taking the photo almost literally pushed us into it though we werent quite ready & offered to let the people behind us go first so we didnt hold up the line. My husband gave him his phone with the Camera ready. He stated, again very rudely Its not on camera so I went to grab my phone from ky back pocket at which time and he says Oh I got it and took 1 picture while I was getting my phone out to give it to him. I asked him to please take another and he flat out refused and we were again almost literally pushed aside. Thank you 92Y for ruining not only my chance to meet and speak with someone I have great respect and admiration for but for also ruining my memory of the event as a whole.
