Went to Five Island Park for a wedding and it was a nice park. Although it was a windy day the water was still peaceful and a beautiful view. It was a short walk from the parking lot to the waters edge for the ceremony. The only issue was bathroom access which was closed due to COVID-19. Didnt venture in too far as
Generally this is a nice place. Ive come here very often over the years as I live two minutes away. For 12 years I have always rode my bike through this park. Always greeted workers and it was perfectly okay. Now all of a sudden I cant ride my bike? I was told I am not permitted to ride my bike through the the park which is quite funny as staff have previously allowed it, and even in this day It was permitted by of them.
Great place to look at the Long Island Sound, plenty of places to get some sun, take some pictures, there are interesting bridges to walk on, and places to fish, there is a childrens park, as well bathrooms that are open, but will be closed after extended season is done, that is extended until the end of October as a result of Covid Virius. I love how the kids smiles and loves the place and Great place to relax.
Quite spot, picnic basket settings and if that not your thing bring a fishing pole anyway enjoyable location
I love the quietness of the park however new rules, one needs a new Rochelle parking permit.
Beautiful place to go for sights, fishing, kids or just to relax and observe.
P2A had its first Online New Rochelle Pre-Apprenticeship class and graduated 12 of 12.
Clean nice get away. The view of the water is peaceful
Always a beautiful, relaxing time when I visit this park.
Do not allow dogs in the park. My little shiba was raring to go only to be told no dogs. Booo!
They dont allow dogs. I have a small shiba inu and we were not allowed in. Forget this place.
Beautiful park
Very nice park. Playground is kinda small not allot of variety. They have swings for babies and kids. You can walk out to the little islands via a foot bridge and have a picnic. They have bbq grills out by the gazebo so just bring charcoal and your good to go. There is also a trail that goes around the park that gives some nice views. Worth a visit for a quiet stroll or to just relax while having a sandwich. I would suggest guessing McDonalds or taco bell on Main Street then going out to eat under the gazebo for lunch with a view.
I love this park. In from the bronx n I always bring my kids here away from the craziness of the city. They play area needs a little maintenance tho but beautiful park overall
I stumbled upon this park on my first (and only) visit to New Rochelle on 29 December 2018. The weather wasnt great but I managed to spent about 2 hrs in the park visiting all the different nooks that make up this amazing park. Hudson Park & Beach can be seen from the islands. The views are magnificent. There is also a picnic area (bookings to be made) a playground for kids. I walked into the park but apparently a fee for cars are payable. I wish to visit this park in the summer as the park was very bare during winter. I also came across an old oven and wish to research the use of it during the past. This park must be very busy during summer as the scenery would be lovely with all the beautiful trees and lawns!
Nice, not too many people usually come here. Good to enjoy some time
The kids realy enjoyed
Cant believe this was the first time I see this place. It is unique beautiful and a must visit place. There are many things you can do here, so better if you get the whole day. Beautiful.
Nice place to spend time with close ones.
Must visit. Its so beautiful, peaceful and clean. I went on April so, it wasnt so crowded. The bathroom were closed. Little disappointed but I am sure it will be open during Summer.
Always a great place to come walk around enjoy the scenery and company
Great peaceful place
I have adored this place for 15 years. Took my Kids there, Barbeques there. Birthday Parties. Fathers Day. Watch the Fire works for the Fourth of july there. LOVE IT.
Beautiful park pretty unique
Nice park . Trails with cut aways for relaxing views. Facilities were clean and accomodating. Would return
Nicee park
Very nice park to walk and for picnic, but to many requirements from the city for picnic you need permits
Great place for walks and sunbathing. Little footbridges join the islands. There are the remains of an old underground oven in the colonial style on one of the islands. The views are terrific. Also there are mulberry trees with ripe fruit. Parking is available, but it costs $10 for non residents. We parked on Main Street and walked in, because its free to walk in.
This park constitutes a group of 5 islands interconnected by bridges set in undisturbed natural habitat with biodiversity. It is suited for families - for morning walk, for children and for seniors. Picnics are easy to organize - grills are available.
Lovely chain of small, landscaped islands connected by bridges. One of those little treasure that people who live nearby would rather you did no know about lest it become too crowded.
One of my favorite parks in New Rochelle, this place is great for a walk, to play ball, or just to sit by the water. My favorite is the sunset in the summer. Its also an amazing place to see the 4th of July fire works! A yearly tradition in New Roc that is actually quite nice! Be sure to bring a folding chair though!
Nice quiet place to spend lunch ... When it is nice the paths are good to walk... Great views of the Sound
Bathrooms are terrible. Overall park is nice. Need permits to picnic. Kids area is terrible and outdated.
Beautiful location
Awesome view, it also has a playground for kids
I am a Park attendant for the City of New Rochelle Ive worked here for 3 years and there are some rules people still dont know. The only dogs allowed in the park are service dogs. You are not allowed to bring your own Grill you must rent one of our grills for $100 each Grill. You have to have a New Rochelle Park pass to park for free, if you do not you will end up paying one of to fees.$5 if you live in the Rochelle with your ID, or $10 if you are not a resident of the New Rochelle. Walking in is always an option because we do not charge for walk-ins, only parking. Launching and docking kayaks or canoes are not permitted at this park you have to go to Neptune to do so.
Nice place
A beautiful park on the bay, with two bridges that connect the mainland to two islands. Has pleasant walking paths, some pawed and some dirt. Has a playground, covered picnic tables and benches.
Great park but too much bird poop
Beautiful park
Nice small park in the cut. Not a lot of people hanging out and they have paddleboarding. Very clean area. Gotta bring the kids next summer and do some fishing.
Peaceful and quiet
It was a nice park 4 years ago. I used to go there everyday after school to do homework. Today I decided to take my Family for a walk. They charged me $10 to park which I did not complain. Then as soon we started walking, we found at least 10 homeless drinking and smoking weed inside. 1 of them wanted to get in a fight with my wife because she was taking pics of my kid and me. For sure we left. They have to fix this problem.
Very excellent expiriances
I loved it. For the time being the weather wasnt optimal it can get to windy and cold for kids but its so beautiful!
Love this park for its views of the sound and feeling of being out of the city.
Nice clean and discreet park. Plenty of benches, play area for kids and nice water view and plenty of area to walk and enjoy the view of the bay.
Great place to picnic and have fun. Entrance fee if you do not live in New Rochelle.
I brought my kids here to go for a walk- we all had a nice time. You will need a New Rochelle Omni Card that you can get at City Hall.
Nice place to relax, it have a playground, a lot of tables and chairs to have a picnic. The views is very beautiful
I love this park. Its so pretty and quite. Its nice to walk around the island adlnd look out on to the water. Its nice to have a little picnic here too.
Beautiful place to have an event
Its beautiful, but dont forget the sunscreen. Lots of birds and picnic areas and a small beach area. There is a minimal charge if you are not a resident of New Rochelle.
Great park in the off summer season
Not much to do here except look at the nasty water
This park is so beautiful. This is a park to have a family reunion in

Beautiful clean park! Great for families
Best place to relax after a long work day!!
Nice water front & park along with BBQ grills
Very nice for walks in the evenings, however try not to come with a car, there is always a cop making rounds so you might get a ticket if its past dusk.
Its very neat and clean, also its a great view during night time.
This place has an enclosed pavilion if it had ac it would be 5 nice area to run and bbq
A great spot to do a lot of stuff. The only thing you cant do it not have fun!!!
Nice place. Probably nicer when its warmer.
Beautiful
Great place for a nice, quiet walk - not crowded hough youll need a resident pass during the summer.
Its a beautiful park and all, but if your going to go do a barbecue be prepared to pay 100.00 dollars, and no personal grills allowed. I was so disappointed.
