Glen Island Park is a perfect reason to move to New Rochelle! It’s a gorgeous park on the Long Island Sound and has all kinds of wonderful recreational possibilities. It’s also where the government has set up Covid Testing. If you need a test, you must register on line and make an appointment. The tests are free and the turnaround time is generally within a few days.

Brilliant place for the family to spend the day together. The enclosures and animals are all so beautiful and amazing you get a real sense about how important conservative is and the effort these places go to in order to achieve this. All of the bird shows and feeding shows are extremely good and I would highly recommend it to anybody ever in Cornwall. The Free bird flying show in particular was incredibly enjoyable.

This place is beautiful, relax and peace. Should be five stars unfortunately the pandemic take out one.

I really like this place, great for hanging out with family and friends. Theres a big parking lot ($5 fee). Theres barbecue area, playground, even a small Beach. Some people do fishing as well.

I just called today (June 9, 2020), was told the park is still closed until further notice (used as a drive through test site).Its a wonderful park, we went to BBQ often during the weekdays and it was much less crowed. I would have gave a 5 stars, if the BBQ area ground were cleaned better. Overall its a perfect place to hangout with family and friends, either bring some food or BBQ, youll have a great time. Cant wait its reopen.

It was a fun quick trip for an outdoor walking with the kids! Place is beautiful, clean and not complicated. I dont enjoy going to places that seem complicated.

This park was designated as a Covid testing site but it also has a Yacht Club. It appears that the Yacht Club members get anxious when Covid participants comply with the speed limit mandated by the parks dept. They tailgate you and/or honk their horns unnecessarily. I guess they feel inconvenienced.

Still a Covid Testing site as of Nov. 16th. No access for recreation.

A breathtaking view from the Island! Excellent layout of the park! Prodigious! Try to avoid to go there on weekends, I was waiting approximately 45 minutes to get into the parking lot. Overcrowded...

Super Bowl Sunday, so I decided to get out of the house for some fresh air and being that I live 5 minutes from Glenn Island it seem feasible. A quiet day and park is just what the doctor ordered. You have a grat group of respectful people all in one place,you have the car cleaners (me lol), the walkers, the runners, the student drivers,the book readers ALL in one place meshing in PERFECT harmony. You cant beat that, the Island caters to any and every bodies needs. Cone to sit on the bench overlooking the water and talk to God if you choose cry to Him if necessary, nobody judges there. Glenn Island is a melting pot of strides and humanity. Today was particularly awesome because of the overcast in the sky combined with the calmness of the water. Very mature and friendly crowd, bring your dog for a walk. Glen Island is a must go if you want public calmness in a serene setting in the presence of good people. In the summer it does get crowded and you pay yo get in but even then its a joyous and spirited day on the Island.

Whether you want to do some fishing, or go for a nice long walk while enjoying the beauty of the Long Island Sound, youll love this place.

A gorgeous park...large enough to do sports, jog, picnic, whatever. In season, though, make sure you come with cash ready to pay for parking. There is a really nice beach available as well where you can get plenty of sunshine.

It’s was good buy the price for the beach is $10 which is outrageous and then u have to pay for $10 of parking If you not from Westchester which really sucks that’s not fair especially of is so near the Bronx but then the Westchester people can come to our beach for free..

Glen Island is one of my happy places. Its a great place to walk around, clear your head and take in incredible views of the Long Island Sound. The walkways are paved, there are three different playground areas plus picnic areas with BBQs. There is a beach area open in the summer. Also, docks and boat launches. Not unusual to see jet skis, kayakers, rowers and boats of all sizes on a sunny afternoon.

My Favorite place to be and relax. The atmosphere is a great family setting and every location of the park is a great one! Fishing there is one of our favorite thing to do there. Come out and Enjoy this Park you wont regret it!!

This is a place that you can go to any time of year. The park here is tranquil and peaceful When the park is not crowded. The view is always magnificent .

I went here for a BBQ and it was so peaceful. It’s a great place to just sit back and relax, put away your devices and enjoy the ambience with friends and family or enjoy the quietness alone and de-stress from the hassle of everyday life. Plus the scenery is beautiful~

The park was beautiful. The atmosphere was wonderful.. there you can go fishing boating and go fishing on a chartered boat but looks like a yacht. The picnic area is humongous lots of trees for shade. Perfect for parties. The people are awesome and its like 10 to 15 min away from orchard beach. Its also wheelchair accessible. Restroom are always kept clean and replenished.

Beautiful scenary, nice and clean park. Watch out for bees. There were ALOT. We were by the water so we had a nice breeze blowing away the humidity. Most important was the air was clean; often times there is a smell to large bodies of water, that was not the case here.

We go to this park all the time it’s beautiful here great for family gatherings and birthdays. The park is huge and the beach area is beautiful. My husband likes to go fishing out here. My daughter also loves this park and my son also it’s enough space for them to run around.

We recently attended a beautiful wedding at their facility. Upon arrival, the staff graciously welcomed the guests with a glass of champagne and a smile. This wedding venue is gorgeous both inside and out. The service was impeccable....our server, Francis, was attentive and polite. We highly recommend the Glen Island Harbor for special events.

Love going to this park. During my time at Iona College wed come here to Row and it was just a great place to go and practice.On days we wouldnt practice, it was nice to take a drive down and walk around and see the sound.Its a great outdoor space for all to go to. If your in the area, Id recommend you stop by.

This was my first time here. It was a job function and it was fantastic. We were by the water and the scenery was superb. I would definitely visit again and recommend this park. I came from queens and it was only a 36 minute drive

What a lovely place to walk, sit, watch and enjoy being outdoors. Theyre boats, sailboats, canoes, people fishing, grilling, laying out on the grass, sitting on clean, splinter-free benches! The best part for me is that the whole area is clean! Wow, how I appreciate being someplace outdoors that is interesting, beautiful and CLEAN!

Lovely park, perfect for summer events. The different areas are numbered however they need to let something definitely direct us to whichever section we are heading. It took us so long to find section 7. Just like how someone direct us to park!

On a beautiful Winter afternoon walk.

Went there for a wedding.. very nice venue. Food at cocktail hour was better than the main entree. Food was good but dessert was average. Overall, a good experience but far from the city especially with traffic.

Please go to Glen Island Park. I read-only went fishing there and it was so wonderful. It is peaceful and quiet and you could walk all around the whole big Island . but you must bring your own food and stuff and dont forget the fishing rod. Yes, trust me, if you are a person like myself you will love it there, its like going on a vacation and dont forget the camara to take movies of the wonderful moments you had at Glen Island Park.

Its a nice beach/park. Its private so its so much less crowded then many surrounding areas. The only down side is the lack of food options, bring your own and you are set for a peaceful outing.

Everyone who wants to have a wonderful time with the family in this park you can have it all at one place, mountains, beach, and place for the children to play

I was there for a wedding, the staff was courteous and helpful there was always someone close by in case there were questions or something needed. I would recommend if not for the service; then definitely the view by the water. It was spectacular.

Great place to have a bbq, make sure you get there early on the weekends to make sure you Can get a spot. The beach is very clean, the staff is nice and friendly. It does cost money to get in but it is worth it.

Great place to have a family picnic. There is a $10 parking feed. Depending on the area you are hanging out, there is a little walk (in case you have to carry a lot of things). The view is great. There are picnic tables throughout, also a small area for kids to play.

It was really nice I loved it. They just need to stop let people walk with their dogs and poop all over the place. It was full of dog poop even on the walk way. And there wasnt any sign that says pick up after your dog or anything. Other than that it was good

Its clean & relaxing. The forecast could be98 degrees, but being that the Island is surrounded by water,it will feel like 80 degrees.

I love it there, the rest room was clean and well kept. We will surely recommend it to our friends and family
