This is a really neat little park at the end of a small road where it opens up into basically an island right on the gulf. It has some small sandy areas, covered tables, grills and bathrooms. also has a boardwalk thru mangroves which end in a cool scenic overlook. Its free. Not too much parking available. Highly recommend.
Much better than it was last time I visited Im happy that we have a beach that is safer for kids to play. Im loving the new improvements of the beach as well! Great job!
For a local park thats very nice clean theres fishing swimming clean bathrooms water fountains play area for the children dog walking doc well patrolled very convenient peaceful a place to go for a couple hours
Pretty little place to relax, watch a sunset. Not much room to walk, this could be so much more than it is if it was expanded & cleaned up. Saw a pod of dolphins! Wasnt crowded because its small (I wouldnt swim here). Parking was minimal, most were fishing. I wish they would make people pay to park/enter. Maybe then people would take care of it better and not throw their trash on the ground. The people there kinda ruined this place for me. Recently moved to the area and theres a glaring problem with homelessness and drugs, unfortunately. I saw both of that when here which was extremely disheartening. I was so excited when we drove in because its a beautiful hidden gem. I might give this another shot sometime. Maybe if they made people pay a small entrance fee, people would respect the worth of the land and keep it beautiful.
I wouldn’t say it’s a top spot but it’s a decent place to leisurely relax for the people In this neighborhood and locality . It has a swimming area, a beautiful boardwalk cutting through the dense mangroves, child play area and a picnic shelter . The parking space is limited and this place is generally not much crowded.
Nice private beach. Good place to go sun bath. Small schools of fish visible. Water very shallow. Can walk very far out. Found stingrays, small schools of fish, horseshoe crabs, crabs and a few shells. Nice bathroom facilities.
This Lady lost her Wedding Ring here at this park..I want to find it for her !!! Lets use the power of social media !!!!
Awesome beach and they also have NA meetings at the pavilion. I love that fact. They have a nice playground beautiful scenery with the water. Ive been raised here on this beach... This is an awesome place to bring your family and have a cookout and just hang out and enjoy the day. Come and see for yourself.
Its a hidden getaway in New Port Richey. It was a perfect place to bring my babies to the beach for the first time. Small and cozy.
Love love this place upgrades are really nice me and my sister love it here not to many people decent amenities and quiet
Its not big sometimes it gets swamped with people but no big waves waters nice temperature little locals hideout
This family friendly beach has a roped off swimming area and shallow waters that extend out from the beach for much of the designated swimming area. There are multiple pavillions with picnic tables and a small playground area. There are bathroom and outdoor shower facilities and it is a short walk from the parking lot to the pavilions. There is a small beach area with powdery sand that has a more natural feel than many of the areas other beaches. The ropes seperating the swimming area do have (naturally) barnacles growing all over them; ensure that younger children know to stay away from the ropes. There is also a retaining wall over part of the swimming/beach area (depending on tide) that families with young children should watch out for.
Went with the family today and it is beautiful. Saw lots of fishies and the view is amazing! The only drawback we had was the parking is a pretty small roundabout so you have to wait for someone to pull out to be able to park, unless you want to park faraway in the fishing areas and walk to the beach which is not convenient for my grandparents who cannot walk alot.We loved the bridge that led to the oceanfront view too, that was gorgeous! The beach was pretty clean and the sand was not rocky or full of shells, just white sand. Would highly recommend to come down on a weekday so you are able to park by the entrance to the beach. We also have doggies but noticed they are not allowed on the beach area as their is a sign thats says no animals allowed but you can definitely have them in the fishing area before you come into the beach/park as i saw some pups there!
Small private beach with a couple of pavilions and small park for the kids. A secret hideaway for the locals.
Nice little beach area. Not over crowded even on memorial day. Grills to grilk on...playground with swings for the lids to play on.
Very cute little park, lots of wildlife like crabs and fish, and a lovely view of the water.
One of the places where the locals go. Beautiful sunsets and a nice little beach.
This is a little gem of a beach! With clean bathrooms, grills, pavilions, swimming area, kids play area & bird-watching boardwalk trail, you can spend a great time here. You can launch your kayaks & paddleboards too, plus search for the amazing sea life including hermit crabs, snails, starfish & of course dolphins. And watching the amazing sunsets are a bonus.
Dont tap your feet in the stall. Scenery is nice. Would not swim there
We hit a bunch of beaches from Cedar Key back down to our home in Bradenton for vacation this year. I really was excited for this beach, but it was a bust. I mean maybe this is good for the area, but compared to other beaches its not that great. There were A LOT of signs saying to secure your stuff. It seems like this area has a lot of homeless and/or crime. Id be hesitant to park my car in the overflow area along Green Key Rd.The beaches were... small. Not much beach and not very pretty. There was a lot of seaweed when we visited.
Loved this very clean, family park. Well kept, will visit again.
So beautiful for the sunset hours. The bird trail is magical but wish we could get down into the brush to clean up the trash
Very nice park. sad to say not pet friendly !! Beautifully to see Sun set
Absolutely beautiful views from the park! I decided to visit as it is one of the few parks with such a great view of the Gulf without parking fees. There was a number of people enjoying the evening at the shore. Despite the crowd, it wasnt noisy or littered with trash. Its not a very big beach area, but if youre looking to relax by the water or snap a few shots of the sunset then you cant go wrong here.
A local favorite for sunsets. Smallest beach Ive ever been too, but its nice. Has covered tables for eating in the shade. And grills available. Small playground for the kids. And a short boardwalk through the mangroves where you can see lots of birds and wildlife.
Excellent Family Beach and Park. Playground is Being Rebuilt. I Only Gave 4 Stars Because There Was No Snack Bar or Concession Stand!
Nice and clean and grills are available to cook on
Its a good park with a nice little beach. I recommend getting there early as a lot of people get there later on.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Its small and quite.
Very quite not many beach goers wish it was more private. I swim in my birthday suit.
First time Ive been back to this beach in a while, now there is a sea wall blocking access to pretty much all the water front sand area. Was nice when it wasnt like that, wont go back now.
Very nice park. Great place to come watch the sunset. Picnic areas, tables and grills are available at the shelters. Parking is the only bad thing, you may have to park up the entrance road a little ways.
It was a nice little beach yet wasnt over crowded with clean restrooms. Has a small playground for the littles. Has a couple shaded areas with picnic tables. Overall it was an enjoyable little beach.
A nice intimate spot, not too busy, with everything you need right there. Not much parking but no charge to park. Playground, picnic tables, bathrooms, beach, boardwalk. Check the tide before you go Id recommend going at low tide.
Beautiful places. If you need peaceful, this is the best place. I recommend
Cops active in removing drug users while i was there.New playground looks nice.
Nice park to chill out, have a barbecue and enjoy the sunset. There are bathrooms and parking and a playground. Very recomended
Extremely busy. Absolutely no social distancing. Not a beach I would frequent. Lots of sea grass, so swimming wasnt really an option, without the chance if getting stung or bit. Would be a nice nature conservatory if theyd close the beach to dwellers and allowed the grasses to accumulate.
Security is good with regular patrols and the transformation from City to beach is amazing. You can really feel the whole world shift gears.
This was a shallow beach front. Water was wonderful. We even got to see a pod of dolphins swim by! Loved it
Nice place for small children...Nice playground and pavilion...LOTS of seaweed!!
Ive lived 10 minutes away for a year now and I just stumbled upon it. I dont know if this place is a hidden gem or if I just got lucky but I took a friend here at noon on a Saturday and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves! Small little place but perfect for an afternoon of reading on the sand! Lots of palm trees to help keep you cool on hot days. There was a sign for a snack bar but we didnt go look for it. It also had free parking! Ill be back for sure.
This is a small park on the Gulf of Mexico. A nice place to tan, wade, take a walk on the board walk out to the observation deck. The water level has a small incline so it doesn’t get very deep. Not a sparking white sandy beach there is a little muck out deeper. But don’t let that sway you. It’s great for nature and family photos
Great view at sunset, gets crowded on normal (pre-Covid ) nights with parked cars far up the road. Only a few handicapped parking spots
Very busy but very nice park. Lots of picnic and swimming.
Beautiful place. The restroom needs to be CLEANED!
Very quiet and relaxing place. The beach is small, but you can lounge on the beach or take the nature walk and scout for various birds.
Absolutely stunning sunset tonight!
Nice little boardwalk along the mangroves, watched birds, Fiddler crabs and fish, crabs and a stingray in the water. After the walk, spend some time on the little but very quiet beach
Zero waves. Muddy sand. Water looks stagnant. Nice pavilions for a picnic or bbq though.
Clean beach.Plenty of space for kids to play.
Peaceful and clean. Very nice place.
Love this beach. Not the best for swimming but just relaxing at the beach its perfect for.
Its a small park but my son loves playing there while watching time passing by as the sun sinks below the horizon, it has a great view of the sunset and it makes you want to walk and take deep breath while enjoying the view.Plus it has plenty of space to sit relaxed while watching the sunset which can ease symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress and improved cognitive functioning. The bathroom and the area looked clean!Lets get out and enjoy the nature!Instagram @mind2bodyjourney
Great sunsetview for pics.
I go out to feed the resident cat. Also go out to trap cats people have dumped out there. Ive been going out to Green Key since the mid 60s.
No dogs allowed, but there was two dog with no leash on them. I asked the park ranger when he came and he said no dogs allowed.
Comfortable, nice place! Visiting from Nebraska! Great social distancing! Awesome facilities! Thank you!
Nice place to walk and watch the sunset.
Was a small beach for Hudsons local or tourists. No fish or living creatures within the barrier. Was fun with the kids. Just not what you expect when you picture a beach. It is a beach. Very well taken care of by Preservation specialist. Restrooms on site. Playground on site. Shelter with picnic tables & grill by the beach.
They are doing some constructing but it is clean and nice
Loved this place!! I took a first date there to go down to the water we find its all under construction its right after a big storm and at first it was really cool and we had a very good time being all alone in that park until some big animals came running out of woods scared me and that was it for this guy without something that projects let out of it when you pull a trigger I dont want to be around animals I cant identify that look as big as these were. I think they were sleestaks that were returning home Im coming out of the water and going into the woods to wherever they sleep but I cant prove that. Definitely want to go and kayak out of that place as they have their own launch spot for them there
I love that they got the seaweed removed from the beach area and out in the water. Thank you
I liked kayaking at the park and saw dolphins feeding up real close. My only issue is its a long way to carry your kayak if your 65
Beautiful..nature at its finest
Great for fishing and getting out on the water. Never too crowded
Much nicer beaches close to this....
A brackish water beach. Good views from beach. Lots of covered areas and places for children to play. Trails for bird watching. A hot dog stand and restrooms, too!
Water was very shallow at the beach. Definitely great for kids. Also saw a dolphin.
Free! Perfect for balling on a budget! Great little beach with lots of wildlife. You will see tons of fish, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, blue crabs and it has plenty of shade. 5 Star all the way around.
A great Saturday for us Humans and our Dogs to enjoy. PLEASE MAKE THIS A ONGOING EVENT.Thank you for all you do.
Its nice if walking from the bus,or just walking, its a long walk, but the boardwalk is worth it,so Green and the water is a nice view
Nice quiet place to hang out in NPR.
Great place to cool off and bbq
Very shady with a nice, small beach. Playground is in pristine condition and dock is nice to watch boats on. Wish there were more places to walk.
Great place to spend watching a sunset over the water. There are swings and a shower outside.
Nice little park. Roped off swimming area but no lifeguard. Playground and picnic tables. Bathroom is older but clean. Lots of places along road to launch kayaks or small boats.
Love going to this park to walk the bird trail, walk in the waters edge, and watch the sunset. The kids love the playground so the whole family is happy when we come here. Make sure you bring bug spray though since the mosquitoes love it too!!
Clean, short walk to the beach area. The board walk had a couple of look out areas. Had restrooms, but the toilets are awfully low for older or disabled people. No hand rails to be able to help them up. Did I mention that it was clean? Had some play equipment too the kids could play on.
Very beautiful Park and small Beach they have a boardwalk that takes you through the mangroves and all the beautiful Granary to the end where you see the Gulf of Mexico beautiful spot. Brings back memories of our family we spent lots of beautiful fundays there fishing in swimming and there is a kids park there that is very nice lots a fun for families
Awesome place to come and relax. Small beach area but there ate restrooms and shower area, playground and grills for your use. When I was there my first time I saw a food truck vendor setting up that day and had a variety of different things. There is free boat launching & kayak launch that does fill up for parking quickly.
I like that the side walks go all the way to the water- making it easy for those that have trouble walking in sand or wheelchairs.
The tide was way out so we got to see all kinds of wildlife
Perfect for sunset views and a nice spot to just bring your kids
Best park in Pasco County!
Nice calm water easy swim or kayak
I lived across the street from this little secluded location for while it is a very very nice little Beach Park area there as well.
Loved this lil beach I had so much fun with my kiddos, the bathrooms are nasty but its a lil nice beach to spend the day with the fam.
What a quaint place to check off a bucket list item. The only draw back for me me is the lack of handicapped parking. To visit the beach in January and not freeze was amazing!!!
Nice park with swimming area, covered pavilion, fishing area, restrooms and free parking. Parking is limited but convenient. There are multiple picnic tables and barbecue grills available. Views of the water are beautiful.
Great place, especially if you have young children.
I’m not sure I would recommend anyone going here alone.....shady on a very sunny day
