Well actually it was my Daughter and her family that had rented the Resort . They came down to visit from Amarillo, for a entire week .Though I do got to admit I went by there practically everyday to hang out. And from my opinion the Resort was really nice, the rooms were really nice with screen t.vs in both bedroom and living room the kitchen area was nice equipped with a few pots and pans and silverware as well as a dining table . Outdoors was very neat and well maintained. I just might ask how much they ask for a couple of nights, just to get away ... Sounds like a run a way get a way... Well i give this place a perfect 9 and a half, just because I needed some salt and no salt any vhere, though I do understand with the epidemic and all but come on salt packets would have been nice.

Went to the German Christmas market. Lots of great vendors (super high prices though). But it was so crowded, one could barely walk. No crowd control. We were free for all. I was scared my children would get trampled if they lost their footing. Ill never bring kids with me again. I would recommend they span it out over a few different weekends or days to keep the crowds down to a minimum. It was insane.Although my daughter had a great time taking pictures with frozen and jumping on the big trampolines ($8 to do that). Not worth the anxiety, in my opinion.

Stay was great. I would not trust Hotels.com because they took 101.00 from my account for every room n the total was 89 dollars n change. When I brought up at the resort, they said Hotels.com puts in their account n they pay the resort from there. And the two nights stay, they took out another 101. From my account before Friday’s check in n i still owed 78. Dollars n change. I over paid for all 4 rooms one night n the 2 nights too. The two nights rental wa overpaid by over 100 dollars. I recommend just using the resorts directly.

It makes me sick to my stomach to know that I paid over $1,500 for a 3 night stay at this place! I would have rather stayed at a hotel and saved a $1,000 dollars!!! Our main complaint was about the beds! They had full size cheap made beds that looked and felt like they were ordered from amazon/Walmart. The most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on!! The cheap particle boards kept sliding off and breaking every time my husband and I slept on it! Complained to the manager and he said he would send maintenance then go from there. He sends maintenance, the guy goes into the room across from us and takes two boards from one of the beds in there, to replace ours!! Then we never heardback from the manager!! I didn’t get a good nights sleep my entire stay which made for an absolutely horrible vacation..... We want our $1,500 back!!

I am not sure where the Resort at Schlitterbahn got these pictures because our room was terrible. We had planned on staying two nights but checked out after the first night. It was dirty, old, and stinky. It looked like the crew who “fixed” the bathroom had no idea what they were doing. It is so sad because it could be a really nice place.

I stayed at a home here for a womens church conference, and it was beautiful! The home was huge with 6 bedrooms, 4 restrooms, dining room, spacious kitchen, huge sunken living room, patio sitting area in the back and side of home, washer and dryer, and other amenities. The beautiful hills in the area, giant trees and foliage just added to the wonderful, blessed weekend we had here. I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting an awesome family getaway!

Loved the peace and quiet. The location was great and the secure gate entry was reassuring. The beds (Queen) were comfortable but would have preferred a king size. Our loft had a view of the river but overgrown trees blocked most of it. There were no blinds or drapes on our back windows and doors (rm 1222) and the wife thought that was odd. Overall, it was a great place with great people.

We visited this location near San Antonio about three weeks ago. It was a group of adults only, it was the first time we had ever visited and we had a great time here. We rented a cabana, which was the BEST idea we had because it was so freaking Texas hot and the cabana was shaded the entire (and we were there 8 hours). There was a ceiling fan and we were next to the water slide so there was a little bit of mist flowing. We had a flat screen TV, small refrigerator for our drinks and snacks, lots of seating and we had a waitress that came by and checked on us periodically, also there was a safe for you to lock away your belongings which freed you up to go explore and have fun. The 16oz Margaritas we ordered were very tasty, strong enough for a nice buzz and very cold; which was much appreciated on such a hot day. Bring your own water because when we asked our waitress for some she said they dont sell it, which we thought was very odd. The park is large so that will be a lot of walking, but there are so many water activities to keep you cool throughout the day. We will DEFINITELY go back!

The lofts are located across the river from the main grounds, traffic was very bad to go between the two locations so we did not get to enjoy the amenities over there. There was NO COFFEE Pot! Beautiful, contemporary lofts, partial, obstructed view of the comal. There is one staircase leading down to the river with no options to hang out in that area. Best to float down from there to next stairs on otherside at schlitterbahn and walk upto shoot. Was a 5 min walk back from the Garden/public exit bridge. Overall would rent again, but bring your coffee pot and dont expect anything than just your room in that location.

Bloody linens at check in and no resolution—We checked in during the night. When we got to the room at the Condos at Boogie Bay, there was blood on one of our beds. No answer from the front desk. I had to physically drive to the front desk after trying to reach them for an hour and ask for replacement linens. The set of linens they gave me was not even complete. We changed the linens ourself and I was assured that a manager would call me at 730 am.They said they couldn’t help with the issue. Fast forward to 845 AM. No phone call.I called the front desk again and was transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor said she couldn’t help and the person who could help never came in this early. It was suggested I could leave a voicemail. I asked to be called back.Still have the bloody linens in our hotel room. Have received no apologies.Room rate: over $400 a night. No towels for pool and park use provided by hotel.Dark mold growing on ceiling in living room, kitchen.Update: after trying to resolve this since we arrived last night, at 930 AM I tried another call and finally reached a manager. She offered $150 back. I’m not really satisfied, but telling her that didn’t change her offer. Not happy but we just won’t stay again.Update: staff came at 1030 to change linens. They don’t have comforters/a full set to replace the bloody linens. Said that one will be delivered ‘later.’Update: staff did not make the bed in one of the bedrooms. Asked if they could please come and service the hotel room. When they came, we were away. They turned off the AC entirely. When we returned the room was over 80 degrees.

We had stayed at this Resort 3 years ago in a really old and unpleasant room and I vowed never to come here again. Our friends asked us to come and we agreed. When I made my reservation I made sure to tell them about the old room and asked to be booked in something newer. We made these reservations in November for June 1, so there should have been plenty of availability. The sales person assured us that we are getting a newer room. That was not the case at all. The room looked like it was off the set of “Sanford and Sons” or “That’s 70 Show”. Staff is really nice and helpful. Activities are great. Park is wonderful, but to call themselves a “Resort” is really reaching. I travel a lot and stay at different places and don’t want to sound like some sort of a spoiled brat, but Schlitterbahn would do themselves a HUGE favor if they invest and remodel their older section and bring back The Glory.I don’t have words to describe The Couch. It has been really well soiled and the springs could use help. The picture tells the story

Tubing down the river surfing on the burgh one amazing experience for my family on the verge. When going on a ride with sufficient force and excitement there was a child who could not respond properly to the lifeguards whistles and they with beautiful synchronicity were able to make sure that child was not injured or in bad position. Caring for the safety of the customers who come to their wonderful resort. Such a wonderful experience being able to hear the sounds of the waters washing, to be able to spend time with family and such an incredible combination. Spent nearly $2000 on a 10-person visit over two nights at the Condos at Boogie Bay. Location of the Condos were great. Thats about it. First night we were there, found out after loading the dishwasher that the dishwasher did not work. Then at 1 a.m., the refridgerator made horrible sounds that woke nearly everyone up in the condo. Maintenance response was great but we had maintenance in our condo during the entire next day. Final straw is that the dryer never worked. Just really disappointed in that Schlitterbahn knew there were two serious maintenance issues, and we never heard anything from management. Lot of money to spend to not really be able to enjoy the visit. Really not sure I would return to the resort after that experience.

Upon arrival the park looks very clean. Check in was quick and easy, however check in isn’t until 4pm. For special needs parents they do not have identifier bands, I expressed to the employee my daughter would probably not wear hers she stated that would be okay for us to wear on our lanyard. The west side of the park didn’t question us when she didn’t have hers on, however the east side personnel was not as accommodating. They stated we needed to put it on her swimsuit (my daughters sensory issue doesn’t even allow tags on her clothing) I expressed this to the employee she then stated I would have to wear it on my swimsuit. I let the employee know that the employee at check in stated we would be able to wear it on a lanyard, she shrugged and insisted we clip the band on our shoulder of our swimsuit. We obliged and moved on. They would have the same rules across the board so we aren’t scolded. We stayed on the resort, the apartment style area on the west side. The room was clean, very plain. However the security latch on the back door that leads to water was broken. We slid a table in front to prevent our kiddo from escaping. The beds were decent, walls are very thin you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. They have an outdoor patio area for bbqing.Overall we had a really fun experience with the exception of the band situation.

I reserved a room for 8 people here back in March. It said I was booking a room at the resort, in the park. What they gave us is a room at an old office building, that was converted into several rooms, down the street from the resort, on the corner of a very busy intersection. Resort is not what we got. Old, urban apartment complex is what we got. They said I should have called to book instead of using the internet, so someone could have let us know it was not actually in the park, so I guess if you want to stay here, call and dont use their online booking. I spent a lot of money and time to come here, and my resort vacation is now less vacation than my house.

One of which got angry at my brother in law for accidentally splashing her, and the other one said hateful words about him and raised her voice at him. Both of these girls were already in water, so it made no sense for them to be angry. The next encounter was when I was holding my significant others hand in the lazy river. She grabbed my hand and rudely demanded that I let go. She forcefully pushed me away and held him back. Please teach your employees how to smile and not take their anger out on customers it is important that they do their job right, or they need to quit going. It is not okay for them to behave so immature, and make the customers feel unwelcome. Thankfully there was employees who were very friendly and hard working which made my trip a little better.

I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 3. I was very upset that my room was left open and unlocked after the housekeeper left. Also, the landscaping is beautiful, dont get me wrong, I appreciate all the greenery... However, is it absolutely necessary to leaf blow at 8am?? This is a vacation spot, some of us like to sleep in. The cabin was spacious and comfortable, I just dont think it was worth possibly being robbed considering people who are not part of the resort have access to that area throughout the day. While I was cooking lunch I saw several people walk through the patio/stairs that had no business doing so. I didnt bother calling the front desk to complain because I didnt think they would do anything about it anyway. So Im leaving this here for people who may book in the future. Make sure you hide your expensive belongings and cash because housekeeping obviously doesnt care to lock your door when they leave. I dont think I will ever book a cabin/room here again. Very disappointed, especially considering how much money we spent and have spent here over the years. This really put a damper in the rest of my stay there. So much for a stress free vacation.

I also recommend arriving early, we arrived 15 minutes after they opened and there were literally swarms of people already at the gate. Even with all the people it still didnt seem that crowded but if you want a picnic table or a good spot to sit, get there early. Overall we(myself, my mother and two children aged 3 & 9) had a blast and cant wait to go back!

Bed was uncomfortable. Coffee maker did work. Aside from that, it was clean and in a good location.

Last time we went our room was pretty old and just felt dirty. We ended up leaving and not staying.

Really a treat to wake up with the water park at your door. All the cute shops downtown. Really a nice getaway

It wasnt exactly what they show in the pictures but, the suites are cozy and clean. The staff were great! Very helpful and aiming to please. Our family is definitely going to visit again.

Definitely not impressed by the basic resort rooms. But they were clean. Beds werent the best . But still better then stay at a hotel and driving back and forth

Not a resort. More like last resort. Expecting nice upscale room, walked into dark dank circa 70s room with a dinky bathroom, ancient carpet and virtually no water pressure. We could hear our neighbors conversations. Did have a nice breakfast but it was off site and cost included shuttle to festival. That made up somewhat for overall room disappointment. Way overpriced.

Had a great weekend stay off season at Schlitterbahn resort. The grounds are well kept and the place is quiet and feels very private during off peak season. The rooms on the older side of the resort could use some remodeling, our room had a musty couch (probably from wet guests sitting on it), a broken door lock on back entrance (almost got locked out of the room at midnight because of it) and the entire floor in both bedrooms was VERY uneven, you could see that the building had shifted a lot in the past 30-40 years since built, and the beds and everything in the bedrooms were at a pretty intense incline. Issues with the room aside, we loved the location, the amenities on the property, and the staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. We are excited to come again and try some of the newer units that wont have the problems of the older buildings. If you are coming to play at the water park, there is simply no better place to stay, you have direct access to the park walking distance from your room.

We love Schlitterbahn New Braunfels. The original side of the water park with the river fed slides is so much fun, and we really enjoy the old resort rooms. Theyre totally clean but dont seem to be updated, which we like. Its a funky place all around. Then you go to the newer side with warmer pool water and crazier rides. The not so lazy river is a blast. 2 days and we were wiped out. Cant wait to go back.

We had a room that had 5 beds (2 were sofas) so had plenty of room for our 8 guests, great price offseasons, kitchen and supplies
