This is the best place in Naples to trail run. You can head from the parking lot off golden gate parkway just east of goodlette OR we like to park over under the covered spots at the zoo. This connects to Baker Park now and you can get a nice 3-6 mile walk/run. Bikes are also used on this path, but there is plenty of room and it never feels crowded. It has shaded areas which makes it nice on hot days. Definitely a MUST for anyone visiting Naples that wants an extra active activity for a few hours!
I love this park and trail. Its a reasonably lengthy trail. It is paved for the most part, and well lit if youre looking to walk in the later hours. I think the best part of it is walking through the mangroves and seeing everything relatively untouched. They did a great job!
One of our favorite places for bike riding! Quite a popular activity here, although you will also find lots of families going for strolls, joggers, and kids on scooters. There are two entrances. The first one is off of Golden Gate Pkwy and it is the one we use the most. The second entrance is from the Naples Zoo parking lot. In this entrance you will also see a kids playground. From either entrance, the walk begins as a boardwalk that is nice and shady for the most part. There are a couple of benches along the way. They intersect and continue until they end in the paved portion. The paved portion is not as shady and it goes through the pines. It continues until the next boardwalk portion that raises into a bridge and crosses the Gordon River. There is a small dock/rest area after the bridge that is popular for fishing or relaxing. The path continues for a while until you get to the airport. You have the option to continue to the airport observation platform, or connect to the new Baker Park.
Great and peaceful park in the middle of urban Naples. Perfect for walking and biking. Must wear insect repellent if you are prone to be bitten by mosquitos.
Great place for all ages! walking, jogging, nature walks, paddle boarding, kayaking, cycling, etc. I have done it all at this place and enjoyed all of it. Depending on the time of day and season you may need to wear some bug repellant if you are sensitive to them. Trails are long so make sure you are well hydrated and always keep an eye out for cyclist as we all share the same trail.
Great spot for a morning run. Well maintained boardwalks and great scenery.
I used to ride my bike here everyday! Plenty of wildlife! Especially birds. The best time to see most of the wildlife is late morning, there are also plenty of beautiful trees, flowers, and plants too!
Amazing Trail in nature. You can walk, you can run, you can observe nature or just sit in peace you decide. You can walk your pet or just read a book. This is a great place to be. My kids absolutely loved the place and we spent good hour hour and a half walking in observing the nature enjoying the silence and submerging into wild Florida.
I just found this place yesterday. I drive by it all the time and never took the time to check it out. This is DEFINITELY going to be a frequent stop for me. Very beautiful. One of the nicest attractions in the town of Naples.
In the heart of down town Naples this trail offer us all we can ask. Beautiful for kids, and seniors, long well protected boarding walk, accessible from three different road, accessible to kayaking and fishing ramp. Big, with bench and picnics table. The board is surrounded for diversity of wildlife make the walk very relaxing...a nice natural trail, observation of wild flowers and birds..Would be nice add some many more pollinator, butterflies attractiv plants...
Beautiful park with fantastic scenery and an amazing walk, run, or bike ride every time I go
Very nice place for a walk or run or bike ride. Just over 3 miles out and back on paved pathway or bridges. Well maintained and well lit for night time.
Love this wide path/sidewalk/boardwalk thru beautiful waterways and by airport. Rode over 9 miles to baker park. Just a lovely addition to Collier county!
I love this park! Whoever is in charge of developing and maintaining parks in Naples (or Collier County) ... whoever is responsible for all these magnificent parks in Naples deserves an award. Seriously. I have never been anywhere that did a better job with planning for open public spaces than Naples. Amazing job!
Great spot to walk the dog, bike or go rollerblading. From a boardwalks, dirt paths then to pavement.
Great place to hang out with friends and family.
Nice place to visit. Its not the kind of place you would go to everyday, but it is certainly worth the trip every once in a while. Bathrooms and parking are convenient and it is always quiet here.
Awesome place for a nature walk, jog or bike. Great paths, they are all paved or a boardwalk. There are also a few off road paths that are fun to take. It has recently been expanded and now includes a path all the way to the new Baker park. We did 9 miles by going up past the airport and over to Baker park.
Scenic, well maintained walking path and boardwalk. Total path is a little short for a bike ride, better for walking or running.
Nice walking area in Naples, shaded areas as well.
So great! This is a great place to walk, to jog, or to ride a bike. Its mostly shady and beautiful with a few stretches with no tree cover. There are tons of little nooks and crannies along the water with benches. Take your time and look at the maps they have posted so you can see the different unexpected areas. It may take a little time to understand all the different things it has to offer. It is worth it!
Beautiful, quiet, clean, shaded. Great spot to eat all the togo food during this pandemic
Took an early evening walk, the boardwalk is nice and well lit. Lots of families and dogs around, nice reset for the end of the day. Convenient restrooms in the parking lot, be sure to bring your own water.
Wide boardwalk and paved path for bicycles and pedestrians. Short unpaved trail. Several flora identification plaques along one section. I enjoyed almost a hour circumventing the entire trail.
Awesome spot for sunset Nice, peaceful walk
This was the perfect spot to bike. Not too many people so still doing our #socialdistancing Extremely grateful that this park remains open. Will be back on our next visit for sure. Wish Lakeland FL had something expansive like this with wide paved trails and boardwalks.
Lived in Naples for a long time and just experienced this great park. Part boardwalk, cement path and nature trails. You can bring you dogs, walk, bike or roller blade. You cam chose a half mile up to over 5 miles I believe. Was great in a summer morning. I bet the winters are even better.
Miles of beautifully built boardwalks and paved bike paths. What a perfect little get away tucked right in the middle of hectic Naples. Well definitely be back.
I really enjoyed the walk:)
Very pleasant walk, lots of birds.
Lovely place for a nice walk. There is also a play ground with picnic tables and shade. Very cute and discreet spot.
One of Naples hidden treasures.
It was good. Its a long trail with a couple of stops to be able to see where you are on the trail and its shaded which was nice because its really hot outside! We were able to see some type of bird but thats about the only wildlife we saw. But you can run, bike and walk with a pet on this trail.
Lovely trails and awesome view
Such a great place to get outdoors!
We love parks with long trails, boardwalks and nice views. This is our new favorite.
Beautiful park, ride bikes thru to Baker park awesome bike ride, wish it have been longer.
Only park I have found in Collier County that has lights on the trails at night. Great place for relaxation or to get some good cardio. Wednesday nights are for skating/rollerblading/boarding!Having a bathroom or at least a water fountain location on the far side of the trail would make this 5 stars.
Great place for a bike ride
If you are looking for a great place to get your daily steps, walk the dog, bike, or jog, this park is a local treasure. Plenty of parking off Golden Gate Parkway or the Naples Zoo. The park has paving, board walks, and trails convenient for all. Open from 6:30am to 10:00pm. The walkway has lights. Great scenery. Plenty of signs for directions or plant identification. Its truly an oasis in Naples. Highly recommended!!
The boardwalk is really nice and shady! A great place for photos too
Fantastic. Lucky to have this in our community.
A beautiful place to take a walk. Probably best to leave your dogs at home unless they are really well behaved.
Had a great time riding skateboards through the trails. It is a little loud on the boardwalks so be kind and considerate to others but it was a lot of fun.
Amazing. I rollerblade here. The path is beautifully paved
Beautiful. what else is there to say?
This is the best park/ walking/running/bike path in Naples. Dog friendly trails. No water along the way so bring a bottle, especially if you have your doggy with you. There are many loops you can take and signs along the way describing the native vegetation and foliage. You may have an animal siting as well. Sometimes you can hear the animals from the zoo on the trail. A big bridge goes over the Gordon River which is really beautiful.
Parking lot, bathrooms, well-lit at night. Its a beautiful place to walk, jog, ride a bike, paddle, or walk your dog.
Very clean and beautiful walk. It would be nice to have doggie fountains along the way as it can get very hot. Bring water and dish for your fur family.
One of the nicest intercity walking paths Ive seen in my travels.
Nice walking/riding path with lots of foliage.
Really nice paths, asphalt and boardwalk, with a couple of beautiful bridges. Great place to walk, run or ride a bike. Appreciate those bikers who give warning to the Walkers that they are approaching from behind. The new extension to Baker Park is going to be fabulous!
Love to ride my bike and take walks. In the midst of nature boardwalks, River, and fun!
Half the park is all paved in. It is nice to walk around in, but it is very sterile for what is supposed to be a park, not a parking lot.
Wonderful place to walk jog. If you go all the way to the very end and all the way around you can get in over 4 miles. Please pay attention to the gopher tortoise instructions. Do not touch them and definitely do not put them in the water. They will drown.
One of the best hidden walkways in Naples.
Nice walk
Great boardwalk for running and walking. A bit short for biking unless you are a kid. There is a park with slides for kids at the entrance by the zoo. I liked the side trails that were clearly marked as trail.
Great place with tons of running/walking space
Beautiful place, perfect for a long walk
Great place for a walk!! And its free!
My favorite trail in Naples.
This 2.2 mile trail with paved pathways and boardwalks is awesome! You can walk, jog, bike and even bring your dog to walk this beautiful trail. Its open from 7 a.m. (although sometimes 7:10 a.m. I have found) until 10 pm. at night. It has lights so its a nice night walk! Its just beautiful.
Paved and boardwalk paths through natural Florida landscape along the Gordon River. Peaceful places to stop and take a break. Also walk trails through the woods to see wildlife. Lots of shade. Bathroom facilities are clean.
Very nice trail.
My happy place!
Nice walking trails on the bridge and pavement. But I prefer walking at the condo.
Great place too walk dogs
One of our favorite places to kayak. So peaceful & beautiful. Call Naples Beach Rental to meet you there with kayaks.
For whatever reason the facilities division is unable to keep the lights on at the park at night. Its half lit and frustrating for joggers and a safety issue. Not sure why turning the expensive existing lights to the on position remains a problem but half the park is never lit at night.
This is a great walking/biking trail, ling enough to take kids on. In warmer weather, I would expect to see wildlife. I enjoyed this and would definitely go here again.
Great, well-built boardwalk for walks and biking during the day. Parking is available through the zoo parking lot - head east through the chain-link gated area to a roundabout. Lighting has not returned in all areas post-Irma, so be sure to bring a flashlight if going for a nighttime stroll.
Absolutely amazing place
What a wonderful walk! Cant wait until new paths are completed
The Greenway is an excellent easy to walk safe trail. It is paved in areas and up on a wonderful boardwalk when over the marshes and the bridge crossing the Gordon river. We walk daily and this is one of our favorite places to spend up to 90 minutes. Very easy parking at the back of the Zoo lot. You will love it!
One of the best trails in Naples.
Great place for walking and biking
Anyone interested in hiking On April 16 from 5 to 7pm?
Clean and peaceful place.
Not much to see. Level ground
Beautiful trail for evening walk
Great walking and biking trails. Beautiful!
Great place to bike or walk! Ive seen otters, eagles, hawks, tortoises, and snakes! Manetee s sometimes when its cold on the Gordon River!
Definitely a CooL spot
Great place for a casual walk/jog or being outdoors. Great boardwalk. A lot of native plant species to see. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Recommended.
The bridge over gordon river has scenic view. Calm and peaceful. Good place for jogging, bicycling.
Nice walk through of nature
Beautiful place to paddle, see wildlife or walk on Greenway. Best park in city...
Great walkway for nature and traffic is too busy on weekends. Bikers are always too fast and dont slow down on with walkers. Keep watching, always enjoy
Beautiful place to paddle, see wildlife or walk on Greenway.
Beautiful family natural walk
Very nice walking/biking trail, partly along a canal. Soon to open a branch to give easy access to downtown.
Best place ever!
One of the best trails bike/walk/run
Great place to walk and dog friendly
Carved thru nature, lots of room and wildlife!
