Yeah, Im sorry, but this place is subpar as a dog park. There are many, many issues with the Baker Park Dog Park.1. If the city of Naples is so adamant about having dogs pre-register to be able to go into the park, then they need to appoint someone to enforce the rules. 10 week old puppies are being brought inside the park, 10 pound dogs are being brought into the large dog area, and people are bringing dog aggressive dogs in on a leash into the fenced-in area. All of these violations go against whats written on the waiver that is required to be signed before you actually bring your dog into the park. I think the biggest violation is that people are bringing dogs in without the pre-approved dog tag that is required to be on every dog thats in the fenced-in area of the park. But if there are no signs listed on the fence or someone there to enforce that, people are just going to freely bring their dogs in unregistered ahead of time.2. The wood chips and the mulch are an extremely bad idea because unlike grass, urine soaks into the mulch and the wood chips, leaving the area smelling pungent of dog pee. The only thing that would really wash that out is a good rain but of course, rain will cause everything to be soggy and muddy because more than 80% of the fenced-in area is dirt and mulch.3. The large dog area and the small dog area share a fence that separates them. There are many large dog breeds that are prey driven so when they see a small dog running next to their side of the fence, this will cause digging and biting through the fence. The city of Naples either needs to erect a second fence to allow a space in between or some kind of a tarp so that the dogs cannot see each other. What prompted me to write this review is the fact that a small dog was digging under his side of the fence and sticking his paws through the chain-link, and a larger dog bit down on the small dogs paw and wouldnt let go causing the small dog to yipe and scream. And then of course, both owners begin yelling through the fence, blaming each other.

Very large park. Mulch ground and grass. They provide fresh clean water for the dogs. And they provide waste bags and toys. Plenty of seating and very clean park.

This is a very nice dog park with two sections, one for small dogs and the other for large dogs- however you can bring small dog me in the large area as long as they get along with larger sized ones- keep in mind some larger dogs may have a prey drive. There is a lot of seating and drinking fountains for the dogs, however I do wish the small dog area was a bit larger and had more grass rather than wood chips.

This is a great park for puppers with both a big dog area and small dog area. But to be honest even in the big pupper area everyone was well behaved and the place is pretty well kept considering how many folks use it.Also a great place for hoomans with a big open field, a lookout hill, a biking and walking trail, and a great kids park all in the same area!

One of the best dog parks I can imagine. Lots of people on a weekend day, but very social and all the other owners seemed genuinely smart about dog play. At first it was a bit disconcerting to see our 13 month old rescue being chased by 5 dogs, but they all had their tails up and were having fun. No aggression to be seen and our dog slept REALLY well that night.

This has to be absolutely the worse dog park, I have ever been to. It is nothing but a mud pit with a bit of mulch, which just makes the mud worse. Dog owners ignore the small dog/big dog separation and have all of them in the big. Personally, my dogs have mo issue with small dogs, its the small dogs that are nasty ankle biters and go after the big dogs.I travel all over the east coast and have utilized dog parks from Florida to Maryland. This is the absolute worse one ever. The city of Naples should be ashamed.

So much fun as always when we come here. Our neighbor actually is the one who took us here the first time and we absolutely enjoy it now. This last time was a 2-hour trip! Thanks, for the amazing dog park and all the extras it comes with! Swimming pool for doggies, tennis balls, benches, fans, running area, water fountains for both dogs and humans, and a hose to easy your doggy off afterwards

Shaped like a baseball field (sort of), the large dog park had more mulch than grass. Its is safely separated from the small dog park. There is a covered pavilion for humans between the two parks. Not much tree shade, but numerous benches. Many fountains for dogs and humans. Clean when I was there. We had 8 large dogs at one point and there were no issues, both dogs and humans all played well together.

A really nice dog park with separate fenced areas for large and smaller dogs. Very clean. On the day we visited, all of the dogs (and people) were easy to get along with. The park area includes a childrenplay area and walking/biking paths which connect the park to the Naples airport. And clean restrooms!

The dog park is nice and spacious and has lots of seating and lots of complimentary tennis balls. The negatives are that the ground is mostly wood chips which could be dangerous for dogs that like to put everything in their mouth. Maybe AstroTurf would be a lot safer and cleaner. One thing I found a little disturbing is many people let their dogs out of the car without a leash on and let them run at the entrance this could be bad for someone walking out with a timid dog on a leash or even for their dogs that could potentially run the other way and get hit by a car.

Very nice dog park. We usually go early and take a walk around Baker Park before it gets too crowded and then walk across the parking lot to the dog park. Occasional dog park things occur such as people not paying attention to their dogs and not picking up after them, but Ive seen this in EVERY dog park.

I dont want to be a critic because I totally appreciate that the city provides a safe place for dogs to play . In fact the facility is fine. Thank you Naples! The problem is that apparently people have different ideas about what a small dog is and a large dog. Everytime Ive been there so far, much bigger dogs are playing in the small dog area. It is not fair for the small dogs that are timid.

Hose for washing dogs after they play is very helpful. Small dog area is usually more crowded than large dog area. Parking is free, but limited. No public restrooms. Way cleaner than the dog park in North Naples. More grass in the big dog area would be great. Flooding of dog areas is a problem, especially in summer. Poorly planned drainage of dog wash area and dog water fountains is always a problem. Nice clean water available from people water fountain under the covered area near picnic tables.

Drinking fountains for dogs and people available. Shaded area with benches. Lots of tennis balls. Generally friendly dog owners. Parking is limited. No nighttime lighting. Hose available to wash dog after playing. Two separate fenced areas for small and big dogs. Good side walks into park. Can be muddy especially in summer. Always bring bug spray, towel, and dog shampoo.

This is one of the three public off-leash dog parks that you can let your dog loose. Occasionally there is some rough play but it is typically because of the owners not paying attention to their dogs. It doesnt happen on a regular basis. You just need to watch out for your own dogs safety.
