Spent a nice afternoon here. They gave an informative presentation on Floridas reptile population, including the damage being done by the Burmese python in the Everglades. It appeared to me that virtually everyone we encountered was a volunteer and they were all friendly and knowledgeable. We took the boat tour which I highly recommend. The boats are comfortable and the birds along the way were plentiful. Our guide, once again a volunteer, was well-versed on the history of development in the area and how it has effected the ecological landscape of modern Florida, not a pretty picture. I also have to say that the grounds were spotless and the restroom I used was without a doubt the cleanest I have ever encountered in a venue like this.
The conservancy is a great experience full of knowledgeable young people who obviously love their job working with the animals. Its a great learning experience and just a wonderful nonprofit organization that not only cares about animals, but the environment and the earth! Highly recommend visiting and supporting them in their efforts to keep wild animals, the earth and waters protected.
This is the ONLY place in Collier County to bring a wounded wild animal (the one on Collier Blvd does NOT have a medical facility for public). They are open 7 days, from 8am to 4pm(?not sure of close time). You can leave an animal found after hours in a crate they usually leave outside. This place is tricky to find: main gate is closed due to covid; you must turn on either 13th St.(by post office) or 14th St., go to end of street, and turn into paved alley which is not marked; this leads to gated entrance with signs thereafter. Unfortunately, due to a low-hanging bird feeder and a bored lanai cat, I have come to know this place and its employees MUCH better than I wanted. these folks truly care about our wildlife, and altho it isnt possible to check up on wounded critters youve rescued, trust that they do their best to rehabilitate. They even release them back where they came from!! Who does that these days? Pretty sure they take ANY local wildlife, no matter size. call if unsure.
I must say that while our family enjoyed our trip, I was a bit disappointed with the trip. Maybe I had higher expectations and it ended up not measuring up to my expectations. My first disappointment was that the place isnt very kid friendly. Even though they have a couple of rooms designated for children, there are signs in certain areas asking to keep quiet because of the animals. This one wouldnt have been much of a problem if they had at least been friendly which is the fact that all of their employees/volunteers are elderly folks who seem to have lost their ability to interact with and tolerate little children. The boat ride was a nightmare! We werent aware it was an educational boat ride and that the captain would be talking the entire ride, otherwise we would have never went. But we went and good thing that we brought food for our two and three year olds in order to keep them entertained and inside the boat (lol).Mind you, we were told the rules of the boat the minute we sailed off and one of them did not include not eating on the boat.So after my kid had already devoured one of the snack bags we had brought for the boat ride, thats when the captain told me that we werent suppose to be eating on the boat, which he then concluded that it was okay because he never mentioned that as a rule nor did he have it posted it anywhere on the boat or dock.To be quite frank with you, the boat captain seemed very frustrated and irritated, first by the noise my children were making and then because of our eating. If I had to do the boat ride again with my children at the age that they are now I would not have done it, too much stress and not worth it.
Hi, Theres a lot to see staff is very educated and guides you to other near sites of interest great boutique shop and fun to Walk in heart of Naples FRESH AIR ANYONE.
Took 2 young wild rabbits. Seem very compassionate.
I was at The Conservancy Center for the Earth day Celebration with my grand kids. We had an awesome day, all very organized, lots of activity for the care of our Planet. Very instructional. Great job of volunteers and workers in all areas, helpful, nice, patience with kids....We really had fantastic day! Awesome and free eco-tour in the Gordon river. Very well trained guide, the boat captain, very nice and fun . Kids really enjoyed it.
Peaceful. Relaxing boat trip. Some interesting exhibits about conservation, but not much else to do or see, so you only need a couple of hours at most for the visit, but there’s plenty else near by.
This place is awesome! There is so much included education and things to see. The exhibits are very well designed and the included boat tours are entertaining. Their volunteers are all super passionate and they make you feel like you have your own personal guide...if you ever have a question then they are readily available and happy to help!! All in all, it is a great place to spend an hour or two, and if you could a couple of times then your membership for the year is paid for! We were happy to support their wonderful mission and, there needs to be more places like this!
Great place to learn about Florida wildlife. Displays on the various ecosystems were well done. I really enjoyed visiting the animal hospital. We got to see the resident owl, hawk and eagle. For a relaxing family friendly activity take the 45 minute electric boat ride to learn about the wildlife and vegetation of southwest Florida.
Great place! Great for everyone of every age learn more about the importance of nature!
We loved visiting the conservancy on our trip to Naples. We went into the animal hospital and was able to see a baby otter, a bald eagle and some owls who are being treated. Such a wonderful place and a beautiful mission. Highly recommend stopping by. Super kid friendly.
Nice electric boat ride with knowledgeable volunteer. Good displays and docents that explain everything. Very nice
Well trained and caring staff. Take advantage of learning the local environment and get some exercise. Trails, touch tank, electric boats and rental Kayaks.
High quality Docents. Educational. Adults and kids.
The staff is super helpful. Some of the nicest volunteers Ive ever met. I wish there was a little more to see of the animal hospital and the rehab animals
Great place for kids to learn about Floridas natural water flow, habitat, and builds understanding of the development and pollution in the area. Highly recommended for everyone.
Loved it here, very informative and we learned alot
Wildlife hospital for our injured wildlife.
Still havent seen the whole place. But very well maintained and the real deal. Not a tourist trap. Going back again this week. All the employees are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable
They have a beautiful preserve and such a heart for animals and the local environments.
Very interesting. The boat ride was great. Saw a lot of birds and the Captain was really knowledgeable.
Kayaking! All volunteer staff was so helpful with everything related to this great way to connect with nature. Learning center was great. Lots of activities.
Terrific environmental education center with a devoted staff, nature center, trails, mangrove exploration, boat trips, guided tours, and wildlife rehab hospital to visit. Plan on spending several hours!
This is the #1 place in our town. I have taken so many injured, sick, small & helpless native animals there & they are always open. Please check out their donation list on line or by visiting them. Much of what they need is either in your own closets & cupboards or available at the dollar store
This is an organization that does great work in preserving Floridas environment. Well worth a visit.
Really nice boat tour. Our guide was very nice and informative.
Such a wonderful place. So much information and educational. The work they are doing is amazing. We watched them feed baby squirrels. They have a bald eagle that has permanently injured a wing.
They have done great work upgrading the place adding new buildings and switching to electric boats
Beautiful experience! What a devoted staff to our environment.
You wont regret visiting this place especially if you have children. Is a wonderful exhibit with lots of fish and selfish as well which can be touched and terrific tour guides. Is also a not-to-be-missed boat ride through the marsh which is incredibly relaxing for all ages.
Really nice, narrated electric boat ride. Saw the crocodile! Thanks to Captain Zack!
Weve always enjoyed the Conservancy. Ive chaperoned class trips, and the people there are wonderful. There is so much to see there, and so much to learn.
Love the fact they are actually helping wildlife. Will be back!
This is a great place to take sensory seekers. My kids love it and its interesting for grown ups too.
Nice people, were very helpful on the phone!
Helped me save a baby screech owl. It comes back every year.
Educational, beautiful and fun for the whole family. From the wildlife hospital to the live animal experiences, the volunteers and staff were wonderful. Highly recommend the boat tour. Captain Don was a wealth of information that really added to the experience.
Dropped off an injured turtle I found that had already been struck on a busy intersection . Very informative and helpful staff. I was a little frustrated because I was hoping the turtle may have still been alive and I was rushing to the conservancy hospital so I was a little rude upon arrival and I want to apologize to the staff. Im a volunteer and animal lover myself and I know the staff has nothing but the best intentions for the animals and didnt need my attitude in that moment. They do great work!
Im a big hunter and fisherman but Im all about conservation also this place does a lot of good
We love the Conservancy for their work in conservation and animal rescue but the main draw for us is the high quality of their lectures held monthly in season. Experts talk about various scientific areas. We always learn something. And we enjoy the electric boat tour with excellent narration on the Gordon River.
Wonderful place to go when zoo is crowded.
Nature at its best.
Great educational program. Boat tours are very enjoyable. Great family programs!
A nice place to spend the day along with the zoo next door. This place is educational and a great place to learn about Floridas wildlife. Also, a great place to understand how fragile our environment is and how to help preserve the environment making for a very interesting day.
We loved this place and the great work the staff and volunteers do to educate the public about the fragility of the SW coast. We came at noon but it closed at 4. 4 hours wasn’t enough for us. However our kids really enjoy the many conservation educational orgs in the Naples area
Nice place but not very many animals around. Only saw fish in the lake. Nice boardwalk
Great place for young and old, loved the boat ride
Found a wounded blue jay on our walk & took to conservancy hospital. A great experience. Very easy process, easy to find location, hours open great and a fabulous volunteer manning the office. Vet techs so knowledgeable and pleasant. Highly recommend a visit to all on vacation. If youre a local-you will be surprised @ how this place has expanded and upgraded! Beautiful surroundings and lots of FL knowledge abounds. Great place for a couple hours to get the family outdoors.
Wonderful place for kids of all ages.
A nice place to spend the day along with the zoo next door. This place is educational and a great place to learn about Floridas wildlife. Also, a great place to understand how fragile our environment is and how to help preserve the environment making for a very interesting day.
The electric boat tour was fun and informative. The grounds are well kept and pleasant. There were lots of hands on displays for children.
What an awesome place here in naples! Were blessed to have places like this. The staff is attentive and show that they care! All of the grounds are spotless and theres even electric vehicle charging stations!
This is a wonderful place to take the family. They do some awesome stuff here for conservation, and it was truly a pleasure to visit!
I always love the boat tour
Peaceful Educational Nature & History Lesson
The boat ride here is included in your admission and it is so relaxing and nice! Great guides that are very knowledgeable about the area.
This place was amazing. We had a wonderful time and learned more than i could imagine about wildlife and how to protect their habitats.
Wonderful place to go to. Take the family and learn about Floridas wildlife!
Amazing place! The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. The animal hospital and nursery were awesome.
This is a fun little outing. My rating would be a 3.5. There are not many activities. The place is 3 small little centers 1) is a hospital nursery (we could see one baby) 2) a housing center where they had an owl, an eagle and a hawk. This center also has a small interaction play area 3) a walk through FL center. You walk through the topography of Florida. Its basically the size of a small house. With your $15 admission (per persob) you get a boat ride (30-40 min) of the area but this isnt really for small kids. Not much to look at. For adults its informative. Our captain was very knowledgable and patient with our kids.Overall, for the price I would likely go to the childrens museum to tire out the littles. However, I didnt mind the high price (per person) since the money goes towards a good cause.Bonus point is that the Naples zoo is right next door (not walking distance).
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I spent an afternoon there with the kids. It was a very good family friendly activity for us.
2 stars for their respectful job.High fees applied to see nothing, maybe because we have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.I could pay and donate for their job (I already visited that kind of conservancy in Australia and in Europe), but when we visited this place, it seems to pay for their electricity bills... all lights and air-conditioning worked for no one... and they pretend to save the planet...The cat is bitting its own tail...
Very nice place to enjoy nature
Enjoyed Coffee At The Conservancy Event
Wonderful place, great boat ride andfabulous animal hospital. They do great things there.
Love the boat ride here
Its the best place to save the animals and wild life I love it
Went to take pictures while daughters kyaked. Got a good longwinged zebra butterfly and four different gopher tortoises. Did a quick peek at the rehab animals but did not go through the major exhibit. Will do that the next time.
These people do honorable work and its a great opportunity for the public to visit and see how theyre helping to keep Floridas wildlife sustained. The tours are very informative and there are several other activities and sites to see in the area.
Hidden gem in the middle of the city. So peaceful and beautiful. Volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly!
This is a wonderful place that takes care of so many needy animals.
Great Place for family and kids
Very nice staff. We went there just a few minutes before they closed, and they were very kind and took the time to show our toddler the horse shoe crabs and some if the different birds. Always a smiling face.
Hidden Gem. Boat tour through mangroves and canals, beautiful and learned a lot. Can see variety of birds, manatees, crocodiles etc.
Beautiful nature center with a very friendly staff, I recommend a membership since it also gets you into Mote Marine in Sarasota.
Brought my daughter to serve a 6 month internship.
This is a undiscovered gem in Naples. Forget busy Zoo and beach. Check out the Conservancy of Naples. Rehabilitating wounded animals, boat rides, kayaks and kids center.
Definitely take your kids here, a lot to see for $15!
Very nice place. Was here for a professional development event and it was very nice, clean and, well, professional! This is a great place for the kids to learn about animals, can confirm, was once a kid who learned about animals here on a field trip.
Super fun, students loved it and staff was great!
Wonderful place to spend the day
A great place to learn about palm trees. Short walks.
Nice group of people.
Everyone there was helpful and almost maddeningly knowledgeable. Spoke with one guy who had only been there for two weeks who knew everything about the animals we asked about, plus what seemed like all of the dinner points of the Conservancys full history. Very enjoyable trip.
A noteworthy facility of animal recovery and wildlife protection.
Helpful informative a great experience for young an old
Our tour guide Aaron K. was phenomenal. He was knowledgable and passionate about the Conservancy and encouraged questions. There were people of all ages in our party and he was patient and kept it interesting for all of us.
Awesome educational place to visit to learn about the ecosystems in SW Florida. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!
This place used to be great when regular members of the community can come and use the facilities, for a fee of course...now theyve turned everything into a membership and you have to be a member in order to be able to use their facilities: such as kayaking and Boat Tours exedra. Not to mention the fact that if you are a member you have to pay an additional charge to do those things, and here I was sending people in their Direction... rip off!
Great place to spot some gopher tortoises!
Because its very informative about Florida wildlife and effects of man on the environment.
Would give this place a zero stars but have to give at least one star. staff approach me in said needed to pay for a band before I can do anything Being new to the area and people telling me about this place decided to bring the kids and family in here.Where a group of 10 Got harassed by the staff An said we had to leave we were discussing whether to pay for the high fee of the conservancy And were told we had to leave worst experience I’ve ever encounteredNever experienced something like this even with the worst rental car company as I was treated in this place!!!!!!! Decided to go to the Naples zoo next-door.
Nice staff, very informative, get to see some animals being nursed back to health
Always a fun and educational experience, especially when baby animals are being cared for in the nursery. My favorite part.
Wonderful program.
Great place for kids and adults. Learned a great deal about how important Mangrove plants are to the total ecology of Florida.
Awesome Conservancy. Great helpful caring staff.
