Its a cool place there are nice people to come up there and bring breakfast and another lady bring some lunch over there by the Olive Garden time 9 for breakfast and 11:30 for lunch across the street

It has a beautiful scenery and a nice playground for the kids. There are swinging benches that you can sit on and a nice walking path. I even got close up pics of a squirrel!

They failed to mention the playground is gone. I took my daughter to play and arrived to find the entire thing gone! Only giving 2 stars cuz at least they have swinging benches that she got to swing on a little.

Nice little park right off 17. Wasnt busy during the week and gave some space for the kids to run and play.

Great place for kids to run and burn some energy. Some of the equipment is a little rusty but still functional and neat in appearance. Extremely well lit at night.

Being from Louisville and traveling I-71 and then seeing the memorial to the Hardin Countians, touched me deeply.

Thanks to Erin on the tip for free parking in front of the library. FYI for others, it is angled parking and it is best to turn onto 14th from the main road. They have several porch swings for adults. The playground has a lot of equipment, but is showing some wear. Not a bad park considering most people probably just go down to the beach. Biggest complaint was the noise from the nearby construction.

Lovely little park with bench swings and playgrounds. Nice place to walk around during the day to waste time before heading to the airport. There is free public parking across from the library.

There was alot of homeless people there and was kinda creepy.

I absolutely loved the experience and my 92.7 year old mom was thrilled... Every one was so nice and thoughtful... Bernie came right over to my mom, thank you so much, Nina Turner... for making it happen. We agree with the philosophy of what Bernie is promoting... thank you..

Located right off the main drag it is very convenient though all of the parking is metered. Playground equipment is decent and the park is pleasant. Definitely not exceptional but a nice place to play with the kids for an hour or two.

We watched a youth performance of Jack and the Beanstalk at Chapin Memorial Park. The child actors were from Calvary Christian School in Myrtle Beach and the director, Ashley Love, is a teacher at the school. This was entertaining for all ages. If you missed it there is still time to come watch August 16th 17th 18th @ 630pm each night. Get there early and let the kids play on the adjacent playground. Bring a lawn chair. FREE

Anytime I make my way down to the beach, Ill bring my kids here to play. For the most part its free other then sometimes having to feed the meters. I just dont recommend going at night. Its a pretty shady area then.

I love this library they have a wonderful summer reading program for kids to encourage them them to read and because of this program my son was reading on a 5th grade level when he was in 1st grade the staff here is also amazing

It wasnt open not many people there.

Too many homeless ppl around I didnt feel safe. I also couldnt sit anywhere on the playground without fire ants crawling on me.

Nice place to enjoy outdoors

Let The kiddo play on the playground while we sat on the wooden benches and had a picnic lunch. It was nice. The lawn area is expansive and well-kept. Would be great for frisbee. The playground could use more shade and a power washing and the benches there were weather worn and the steps could benefit from being redone. The pergola around the lawn was very nice and the front porch swing style park benches were very neat.

Its ok a little outdated as far as the play area but the way its built it is safe and you can see the kids and they only have 1 way in or out unless the climb the brick wall made to keep em in.

Always loved this park, but the city has some a great job cleaning it up. Nice and open spaces with a huge kids park.

Library is nice but small security guard is rude too up tight but its quiet the park is cute needs a few updates but its nice got the kids

The place was dirty and the food was terrible I am from Ohio and the one in Ohio is not that bad so please try to clean up the restaurant and have better food oh and also one of my friends food was burned they didnt do anything about it

Went to the park for an art festival it seems nice.

Kids and adults love this park, conveniently located at the Chapin library.

Good location with lots of parking. There were a lot of cigarettes on the ground around the park, and some of the play structures were rusty.

Ok place for the kids to run around for a few minutes. Stinks that the parking is now metered. It wasnt last time we were here.
