Very nice for a downtown. Debris was still around from the hurricane but efforts were being made to clean it up. The businesses were numerous.

Sweet little area. I would have rated higher im sure, however it was raining. Hum bug. Every place was packed. Could not make a reservation. No spots at any bar area within the restaurants. Sadly, not a good experience. Im sure its just by of the rain.

Its walkable, iconic and lively. Be sure to visit Namans Department Store. This store has been downtown for 80 years. Mr. Namans sister has a childrens clothing store across the street.

Downtown Mobile is on the cusp of greatness! Lots a great restaurants, bars, shops, and parks - it’s almost close to being something really fun - but it’s just not quite there yet! It’s coming along though - maybe a little touch or two here and there by the city and the community and the downtown Mobile will really be an area to be proud of - again, it’s close, but still needs a bit more sprucing up!

A little dead in terms of people, but then it was Christmas week and all the law offices (which seems like the biggest profession in the city) and courthouse were closed. I loved the walkability and the eateries on offer, along with the holiday season lighting and everything being so close

I really feel like they dont care about Macon I came here for the first time this year and its just so desolate. What do they offer the youth that the fans are offering? What activities do they have for the tooth I feel like they just dont care about this place all the houses are abandoned its just looks like whoever was in charge of this city gave up

Overall a nice place! Not that clean and not that modern as I expected. One of the reastaurants had a rat inside when I passed by....it was closed already so nothing I can do about it.

Downtown area has come a long ways in the last few years. They are constantly making improvements and there are a lot of great independent restaurants. It wont be worth the trip across the bay if there is a toll though.
