The Armory was one of the best concert venues in the Twin Cities. I will not be going back, however, because they dont care enough to get fans their refunds. A number of summer shows were cancelled and I still havent received money back for any of them. At this point, I dont care if Ticketmaster and the Armory go out of business.

Great venue, we had tickets in the GA floor. The only slight problem was both of us who went are under 52 and couldnt see around everyone else. The sound was amazing however, and I highly recommend the advance parking pass to get into the venue. It made things way easier and allowed us a guaranteed parking spot. Ive gone for two shows and will definitely be back for more!

First time visiting this venue. Up from Virginia visiting Family in Wisconsin. Sister took me to the 93X Nutcracker concert. It was a great time! Venue was big and well laid out. Staff was friendly and helpful. Security was amazing! In place and observant yet allowing people to enjoy themselves without getting out of control. Prices were normal for that type of show. I was very impressed. I have social anxiety issues. New places/big places/big crowds/loudness...usually those send me over the top and my flight instinct kicks in. This didnt happen. Not once did I overwhelmed. Design of the Armory/placement of staff and security... it all flowed and made things smooth and easy! Definitely would recommend this venue.

I went to see Ghost in concert. Freaking amazing. I recommend it. We arrived and the line was 2 and a half blocks long. Worth it. Security was tough. They even wouldnt let employees through. We got here and upgraded to the VIP experience for extremely cheap for Ghost. Nice to have connections. The atmosphere was one of the best in this establishment. I highly recommend the Armory for anyone and everyone. Thank you for this wonderful experience. I will be back for more.

Favorite Twin Cities Venue hands-down! I love the room this space provides. (As someone who loves live music but doesnt enjoy tightly packed crowds.) The sound quality is always superb. Great acts are rolling in here. Ive seen rock and hip hop shows here and they are all wonderful. Gives the big show feel without being in the nosebleeds of a stadium. Tickets are typically reasonably priced as well!

Being a well traveled person I have been to hundreds of venues. With that being said the Armory IS on my top three of all time best! The convenience of the bars, their bathroom access, vip and booth arrangements all are exceptionally accommodating! While the building is in order it would be nothing without the AMAZING staff that make it a what it is, a magical place! Thank you to everyone at the Armory (guests included) for making some of my best concert memories!

Great sounding and looking place! Many of my favorite shows ever have been here just over the past 3 years or so. Although Ive never been, the balcony situation seems to be very good, plenty of visibility. Theyre not the best at taking into account how many balcony seats will end up going to GA, or maybe theyre overbooking most shows for whatever reason, but it gets insanely packed on the floor. Only thing is it could use better cooling.

This is a great concert venue. There are a lot of bars so the wait is never very long for drinks. The bathrooms are also centrally located so they are never far away. It is intimate so you are never very far away from the stage. Green common area in the back right by the stadium that’s nice to hang out at. Love that this historic building has found a new use! Very big inside, great concert venue. Ive been here to see many shows. And Ive been around most of the venues that host concerts and Ive got to say this is my favorite venue. Its spacious and has very high ceilings, which makes the whole place breathable and cool, no matter how many people are there. I’ve been to two concerts at the Armory and this venue is very quickly becoming one of my favorite venue’s in Minnesota. It is in the perfect position to be big enough to host huge artists but small enough where you are not in a giant arena not set up for concerts. This venue reminds me of an airplane hangar. Walking through the main doors you walk into this long, open, tall venue with the main stage at the end of the hangar. The middle floor is dropped down, on either sides the floors are up about 5 feet. There are two bars on either side of the venue that stretch almost the entire length of the walls. There are a ton of bar tenders, so getting drinks was super easy. Beers were $7-$10, and mixed drinks were $10 and up. There are two male and two female bathrooms. They are huge and there was absolutely no line at any point. There are two levels of balcony/VIP seating on either side of the venue. There really was no bad spot in the venue. We were able to see the stage anywhere we went. There were a bunch of employees walking around and cleaning up trash and wiping up spills. Seriously the employees were fantastic. Security is strict, with metal detectors so don’t mess around with them. I highly suggest checking this place out for an event.

The venue has been redone to cater for events. There is access within blocks to parking or light rail stops. There are different levels of access including general floor, VIP with booths and bottle service, and balcony seats. Keep in mind seats start at 1 farthest from the stage. The higher the number the closer you are. The cheap seats are not comfortable bar stools but there is enough room to stand up and people can still get by. The fancy seats are super comfortable, but due to the safety rail its hard to see the entire stage without leaning forward. There are probably 20 bars on the main floor, and each ticketed area also has at least one dedicated bar.Overall we were very pleased with the experience.Security is serious. Belts had to come off and all metal identified. Dont be surprised.

We came here for a show and having been to many venues in the Twin Cities, I can say this is one of the most enjoyable. The sound quality was great (small echo near the back but nothing bothersome). The amenities were clean and there were plenty of restrooms. The bars lining each side are a nice touch and even with a sold out show we didn’t feel cramped. The second level is set back a little ways so you don’t risk having a drink dropped on you, unlike other places.

Very Cool place for a concert or event. Bands have ample room for a full stage setup. Webpage is less than informative about seating options, but if you have the suite or club level tickets, there are bars and bathrooms readily available. Sound was awesome.Access into the building was extremely slow and cumbersome (metal detectors at a metal concert slows the line). It took about 80 minutes to get into the building and through security for a sold out concert.

The Armory is an amazing concert experience. As long as you’re not under 5’9, you’ve pretty much got a great view anywhere. I’m not that tall but fortunately I was upfront to see Greta Van Fleet. The sound was exceptional, the venue was beautiful and I had a good time. So why not give 5 stars? One of the tall red headed security guards checking ID’s for alcohol was VERY RUDE to a woman from New Mexico AFTER seeing her ID. He went from flirting to fascist in 0.5 seconds. REALLY DISAPPOINTING, considering Minneapolis has all walks of life graciously living there. So, if you could avoid the borderline racism outside, you’ll be in for a treat INSIDE. All the INSIDE staff were polite, helpful and friendly.

I paid a visit to the armory to attend a Jon Bellion concert during the Glory Sound Prep tour. Fortunately, I am able to say that the event itself was incredible enough to be worth the decidedly dismal experience I had before the show. The source of my dissatisfaction is founded in the strategy used by the management here to usher eager fans into the venue. I arrived at 3:00 PM for a show that took place at 7:00. Because I am a devoted fan, I was prepared to wait for several hours in line to secure a spot as close to the stage as possible (without paying for VIP). I endured drenching rainfall and squabbling fans for so long until at last, the doors were opened, and the concertgoers seeped in. What I saw next was infuriating.I witnessed several other lines of people being lead into the venue from several different entrances, regardless of their position in line or whether or not they had waited in line at all. To my dismay, I found my toiling in line for several hours had been done in vain. All of that dreadful standing and waiting, rendered completely meaningless. Those who had not worked for anything were served the same reward as those of us who were waiting for a lifetime. The decision to open all entrances of the venue, rather than only the one with the MILE-LONG LINE OF PEOPLE behind it was made out of a blatant disrespect for the fans who took the time to patiently await the arrival of their hero rather than arriving at their leisure. I am displeased to say I would not recommend a visit to the Armory. That is all.
