We went here last winter.put on your thinking caps and enter this place. This was my first time experience in an escape room and it was thrilling. I will learn with more experience for sure but as a first timer I did a great job.Its one place that you shouldn’t miss to visit with your friends n family. Since you are trying to solve the escape room puzzle with a set of strangers hence it becomes chaotic at times. I wish we had the entire room to ourselves. We were a group of 6.

We were so excited they were open for business! They have found a great way to keep everyone safe - only people coming together in the room (previous to covid, people could buy tickets until the room was full so you could be in the room with total strangers) plus they provide masks and gloves. We did The Dig and it was a great challenge! The clues were spot on and timed well, we had a blast! We cant wait to go back and try another one!

Did the room “The Apartment” with my family recently and it was super fun! It was a lot harder than I expected it to be and the girl who overlooked the game for us was super nice and helpful throughout.

We came here for my mom’s birthday and did The Agency room. The people were very warm and welcoming. The room was a LOT of fun! At first glance the room seems like a simple escape, but it was actually a very elaborate and so much fun to work through! We will definitely be back!!!

We had SUCH a good time. Friendly staff that made the experience so nice.They were able to accommodate our group of 11 that included two younger family members so that this could be an entire family fun night. Conveniently located near local restaurants to keep the celebration going after we escaped. :0}

We’ve done a few escape rooms before in other states and The Dig was definitely one of the best! Very nicely done, love how you feel like you are in another place and time and the folks running it were fantastic. Best of all, we escaped!! I would highly recommend putting Escape The Room on your to do list!!

We had a great time solving puzzles, finding artifacts and working together during our escape room adventure! The staff were very polite, organized and clear on the rules for the game! The clue master was helpful at knowing when to give clues and did a great job explains some parts we didn’t understand at the end! This was such a great time for our family and we will definitely be back.

They have engineered the best rooms in the area, they have been carefully drafted to simulate the best experience posible.A++ best experience I have ever had.

Kind of hard to get to but it is a very good escape room. My group did The Dig and most of us had never done an escape room before, and we got out with 2 minutes left. Some of the puzzles were very interesting. The staff are very friendly and funny. I cant give it 5/5, but it comes very close.

We did the agency room and had a blast! Maridee Slater the General Manager made it a fun time for everyone. Our group ranged from 13-36 and we were all able to solve different clues! Definitely recommend!

The escape room was lots of fun for the whole family! I went with the kids however it’s definitely something you can actually do as a family or with friends! We chose to do the apartment which was decent! I’d go back again!

This was my first escape room experience and it was a blast. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room (the Dig) was filled with fun thematic puzzles with lots of beautifully nerdy references to archeology from movies. I cant wait to try the other rooms.

Really fun escape room with a bunch of cool features. Our 8 and 9 year old boys had a great time exploring and figuring out the clues. The props and setup were well crafted and the crew was awesome. I highly recommend this place.

This was absolutely THE BEST experience ever!! The instructors were so helpful, and the people we were in the group with were a lot of fun. Definitely a teamwork project!

The escape room we were in was challenging and interesting. We were given hints at appropriate times. Overall it was a positive experience. The one thing I would say is the staff could be a bit more enthusiastic in introducing the ground rules and the theme of the room. It felt like they were just going through the motions, since I imagine they repeat themselves a lot.

This was our first time doing an escape room and though I knew what to expect, this exceeded my expectations! We did the Gold Rush room. The rooms were done with a lot detail and looks great. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. It was a very fun experience!! Even though we only had a party of 3, we escaped with 2 minutes to spare!! Will definitely be back!

Could have been fun but we were with another group who had done this before and pretty much took over. They said Be sure to share all the clues and then proceeded to pretty much take over the whole thing. They werent being malicious, they were just very in-the-moment about solving it and apparently didnt need anybody elses help. I think I saw about 60% of the actual physical clues but no idea where most of them were found, and I saw about 25% of things get solved. Too many people in the room, very noisy, most everything was solved before I could even get close enough to see what it was or participate in the thought process.What I did see was interesting and could have been fun but as it was, it was a just a bummer. We dont usually spend money on stuff like this so it felt like a big waste and I would only do it again at a different escape place where youre only with your own group and have a fair chance to participate.

It was awesome! We knew it would be fun but it was much more enjoyable than we imagined. Without saying too much, there were some great surprises!

A group of 3 of us did the Dog escape room, and our experience was great. The room was challenging and rewarding without being too hard to solve. We did receive a few hints along the way, but we made it out with 15 seconds to spare. Definitely recommend checking them out.

Fun and challenging! Great activity for family or friends. Madeline was great, super funny and helpful! They do a good job calming your nerves and promoting a good time.

It was a very fun experience and puzzles were pretty challenging. They have a few different rooms and will definitely be back again. You get an hour which seems like plenty of time but as we found out might not be enough. Highly recommend this place and will come back again.

We had such a fantastic time and our host, Madeleine, was AMAZING! She explained everything efficiently and answered all our questions with ease. Her guidance throughout the experience was SO helpful! Madeleine also took pictures for us at the end and just overall made our Escape the Room adventure totally awesome! This is my second experience with an escape room. It was fun, but we didnt escape. The clues were definitely hard to figure out. There were too many distractions in my opinion, which made trying to figure out the clues harder. When we received clues from the game master it was helpful. The room is not impossible. We did get to the very last clue. Overall fun if you are really good at finding the connections.

Our group went for a birthday celebration — we did The Dig, and with a few clues from our excellent overseer, Nick, we succeeded in escaping! It was an absolute blast, and now I think our family is completely hooked. As my son said, What if this is now our THING? It was seriously so fantastic, I (40something) felt like was 8 again. It was like climbing into a Choose Your Own Adventure book for sixty minutes. We didnt expect to be paired with another group, which was a little awkward -- website might want to make that more clear? But it turned out to be super fun and the awkwardness of solving with strangers quickly subsided. Would recommend, 10/10! A fantastic family night out for older kids or a group of friends or coworkers visiting Mpls!

Went here for a work outing and my group did the apartment room and it was so much fun! Highly recommend for a team outing or just a group of friends. Madeline was also an awesome cluemaster!

Best escape room experience Ive had. Puzzles where multi pathed allowing for many to be engaged. Staff was fun and enthusiastic.

The coolest experience in my life. We did the one that had to do with the art theft and we had the best time. Go experience it guys.

Although its nice to have an escape room right on in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, our experience here was slightly lacking.We attempted the James Bond/spy/The Agency room.This was our first room at this location but compared to other companies in the area, this was the least fun weve had.Beware that during this entire 60 minutes, the James Bond theme music plays in the background..... It gets rather annoying really quickly.Because of its location, its nice to have the option while downtown, but we wouldnt go out of our way to stop here again.

The Agency room was so much fun and challenging! Cant wait to come back and do another one.

Well run and challenging, with an exciting (but not scary) level of intensity. We had a team of 7 middle and high school youth and 4 adults, and finished within the time frame (but benefited from a few hints.) Everyone would love to go back soon! We did The Apartment.

Tough room but we escaped in time. Excellent puzzles that made us think and guess and think and guess. We could tell these were well thought out rather than something quickly rigged together. The clues though helpful werent so obvious we didnt have to think about it (a good thing as we only wanted a nudge). Friendly staff and an excellent experience.

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of The Dig. We’ve all done many escape rooms at various establishments but it was our first time at Escape The Room. We give it two thumbs up.

Madeleine (spelling? Sorry girl) was a great mission producer and gave us a great experience in The Dig! A tough room but very fun and she was very helpful. Will definitely be back on her account.

First experience. Our twosome was paired with a group of 10 who arrived late, and reeked of freshly smoked marijuana. The Apartment I found to be tackily put together. The puzzles and clues did not make linear sense. Things got so bad, moderators began feeding us answers instead of clues to move thru the game. Really expected more.. would try an escape room again, but not here.

Had a great time! Our guide Nick was great and knew when we needed hints. He went through all the rules and gave great pointers and answered all of our questions at the end. We booked for the last event of the day and did not feel as if he rushed us or wanted us to leave anytime soon. Would love to go again!

This is a good company for escape rooms, and the folks at this location were fantastic. Our clue master, Grant, did a great job and the assistant manager who checked us in made us feel very welcome. The room itself was well designed and fun!

Totally a fun experience! Went with a party of 10 and didnt feel crowded or bored. Finished with 8 minutes left and definitely didnt feel like it was too easy. We did the agency and its was awesome. 10/10 would reccomend.

We had a great time in the Escape Room. I am terrible at puzzles but between the 4 in our group, we got all the keys and solved the problem in 59 minutes. Thanks to the help of the worker at the desk, we accomplished the mission. Great fun.

For my first experience with escape rooms, it was really fun and the staff was great. The puzzles were challenging and the setting of the room was asthetically pleasing (I was afraid it was going to be a ghetto room built only in plywood). I would totally go again to try another room.

Great team building experience. Cool to see how each team member brings different skills and intelligencia to the game. Good balance of of cryptic hints and lasse fairre from our host. We escaped with 14 seconds left. Awesome.

It was Emmas first day and she was awesome! We had such a fun experience we went two nights in a row. Definitely a MUST when youre in Minneapolis!

Incredibly fun. This was the third and most fun escape room that I have been too. The puzzles were very fun and different. Also, the technology that they used was very interesting. We did the agency and I would recommend this to anyone. We had wesley (I think that is how you spell it) as the host and he was very good. The clues that we had were still very cryptic and did not feel like he was handing you the answer. We will be coming back as soon as we can.

The Dig is an excellent escape room that I was actually able to beat! A lot of fun and good production value.

Went to the escape room and played the apartment. I was told that when I ask for clues sometimes I wouldn’t get them. I would ask for clues and felt as I was being ignored I would need to stand around and pace until a clue would just be given. Some of the clues didn’t make sense and then several things that needed to be unlocked you had to try the same code several times before it would even work. I think that they could could have been a little more helpful when asked I mean I did pay 64 to play so work with the customer.

Very fun room and just the right difficulty for 4 people. We finished the Dig scenario with 3 and a half minutes to spare. The cluemaster was kind and adequate briefing us prior to entering the room. He was able to give us the right clues to still make us think but pull us out of being stuck on a critical step. Would highly recommend for anyone who has an interest in puzzles and thinking outside the box. Communication is essential.

We had the best time at Escape the Room: The Agnecy. Even though we were paired with another group, we ESCAPED and had a good time doing so. Would recommend.

Lots of fun with the right group of people

This was my first experience in an escape room, and my husband’s second. We had a fantastic time and are happy to say that we did ‘escape the room’ (with 19 seconds to go)! There are 3 rooms to choose from and we are definitely coming back this summer to try another room on my husband’s birthday! Everyone was excited for us after we beat the room - excellent staff, worth the experience. Bonus suggestion: park in the ramp they suggest on website.

Our family has done 4 or 5 different Escapes throughout the country, and “The Apartment” was the best one by far. The space was large and the Escape was fun, challenging, and well put together. Highly recommend!

The staff is friendly and was very helpful during our mission when needed. I definitely want to go back to try another room!

Great team builder for work! It was the most our team has ever collaborated, and it felt great step-by-step as we tackled the puzzles. Beating the game with seconds spare was like something out of a movie. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Was the first time in a escape room. It was crazy fun. Finding all the clues and all the messages. We had the key in sight and just not enough time to figure out the last riddle. We failed but still had an amazing time. We will get them next time. Cant wait to go back and try a different room. The staff were very helpful and fun.

This was our second time doing an escape room and we really had a blast solving puzzles and racing to beat the clock. Our room, The Dig, had puzzles that were the right amount of challenging to get your brain working. Really loved all the fun surprises and elements in our room. Cant wait to go back and try the other rooms and see if we can continue our winning streak. (Thank you Brian for being a great host!)

Fun! Definitely on-par with other Escape Rooms Ive been too. The quality of play was detailed and encouraged teamwork. I also appreciate that they offer different themes to encourage return visits. My only suggestion, book early as rooms tend to fill quickly considering the central location on Nicollet. Personally, I had a lot more fun than expected -- 5 stars!

Decent outing for $30 bucks. The room was well maintained, staff were friendly. They patiently waited 40 minutes for my friend who was late. Our room concept was pretty good and challenging.

First time ever to an escape room... really fun! I’d love to try out the other rooms. We didn’t escape the Agency unfortunately, but it was so neat how it was set up. I was pretty happy to be the one to find the first piece to the start of the game in my group

Not familiar with the cities or how to find addresses there, so my group and I were running around trying to find this place (as we would have been right on time for our game if we had found it right away). We finally found it, and were about 10 minutes late. Since they time you for the game, they were so gracious with us and paused our timer for us to give us the full experience. Everything was explained very well and efficiently. While in the room, they give you helpful hints when they notice you are stuck. Overall, it was an incredibly fun experience and will definitely go back there again to try out their other rooms!

Had a blast with the family after Christmas! We were able to buy this experience through Groupon, so it was very reasonably priced. We loaded up and spent some time downtown eating and enjoying a winter day. Parking on the street was easy and convenient; however, we did this on a Wednesday evening, so car traffic and foot traffic were light. Even though we failed to find all the keys, we had a GREAT time trying.

Great place to go if you and your friends are looking for something fun and exciting to do! I highly recommend The Dig. It had an Indiana Jones vibe to it while also maintaining an eerie environment.

Very fun time with a large group. But pretty spendy for an hour of your time.

My review is for The Dig only as I havent done the other ones. Ive done quite a few rooms all over the twin cities.This particular room has a very time consuming and frustrating puzzle that holds the rest of the game hostage and really doesnt do much once its done. Other puzzles along the way definitely require game master assistance which I dont like. You should be able to solve it without help. Id really recommend taking that puzzle out as it doesnt add to the experience and frustrates the group with everyone else just standing around.We ended up getting out but Id say this room needs a refresh with a bit more thought to how the clues line up and if people can connect the dots on their own like most rooms.

Our game master, Beth, was very helpful and supportive. I did “The Agency” escape room with school and it was fun, challenging, and required teamwork. I definitely recommend this room.

This was a first experience taking our 14 year old son and 6 of his friends. An incredibly fun time. I started as an spectator and eventually joined to help them. Have to say it was equally fun watching as well as participating.

High-quality, well-organized escape room. My groups room felt like we were in an Indiana Jones movie, with puzzles of all sorts and secret rooms. It was crazy fun.

This was honestly such a fun experience. We did The Dig which was a great themed room to start with. I know that there are less theme centered options, yet it was nice to have the continuity, at least this first round. It was also only an hour (there are longer options) which was also a good amount of time for us first timers (not too much pressure!) No one in our group had been to an escape room before, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Beyond the activity, the employees at the Minneapolis location were very nice, and ultimately made the experience even better. If you like puzzles or are looking for something other than a movie to spend an evening, this would be a great option.

Great place! Me and my girlfriend stopped in on a whim, the room at first seemed too small but slowly opened up to more and more rooms! Amazing detail and worth the money.

My first ever escape Room Experience and it was AMAZING! Really friendly and welcoming staff. The room was very well setup and the clues were tough but not unsolvable. My overall experience has been terrific and I definitely will go back for more.

Did the dig with 3 other people and while we had a small group we still had a blast. I would say it’s not super easy but not impossibly hard. Only needed 4 clues which isn’t bad for such a small group. Would definitely recommend.

If your into group puzzles youll love this. Be sure to bring your A game. There quite difficult

Weve done many escape rooms where were from so we decided to try one out in Minneapolis while we were in town. We stayed downtown and this one was the closest to us. Booking the room was quite odd as they want you to pay the full amount to book not just a deposit like were used to.We chose to do The Apartment because that was the only one available at the time we could get. Found it weird how you can keep belongings like cellphones and bags and actually use them to solve clues.The clues had no flow to them what so ever and sometimes you wouldnt even know if you solved anything until you see something opening. It sucks because if youre working on 2 clues at once you dont really know which one opened it.Some of the clues were already solved when we got there too. (the safe was already opened) and we got that clue further along on how to open the safe, so that was a waste of time.For the amount paid, this room wasnt very good.

Exceeded my expectations!! I have never done anything like this and I wasnt too excited about our Saturday afternoon reservation. I have to say I was beyond surprised with how much I enjoyed this experience. We did The Dig and it was really cool. There were so many unexpected surprises and you really have to think. I became very invested in helping our team succeed. Unfortunately, we were one clue away from completing our escape :( I look forward to coming back to try this again.

Escape the Room Minneapolis was a lot of fun. The staff were incredibly nice and the escape room was awesome and well put together. I really felt like I was actually trying to solve a mystery. Alas, my group did not end up beating the puzzle, but we were very close.I enjoyed how there were multiple rooms in the escape room. I would do it again. I am curious to see what the other rooms look like.

This is a great adventure. Well worth the time and money. It was my first time and look forward to more times. Cant stop talking about all the clues snd solves. The attenants are very friendly and curteous.
