This was my first experience with an escape room. Our group did not escape in time. We all had a great time with a lot of finger pointing and analysis afterward (all in good fun). From checkin to leaving is about an hour. Clues were given when needed. Several of the riddles were easy, several very difficult and some we simply missed. I will definitely be back!

We had a great family experience here as a birthday event. We made the booking as a last-minute thought and Escape MSP was able to line us up at the Minneapolis location immediately. It was a terrific, safe way to have a pile of fun during the pandemic.

This was a super fun escape game! We played James Bomb and we got out with 20 seconds to spare! Paige was a fantastic mission producer and made this experience even better, she was super nice and inviting! Thank you for the fun memories!

This was an excellent escape room, much more professional than some Ive been to. But honestly, the best part was the host, Nick. He went above and beyond, and was super friendly and inviting. (Honestly, Id come here again just to have him as the host)

I have now done two different rooms at this location, and both times the puzzles were as fun as they were challenging. The people behind the cameras do a good job of steering you in the right direction without giving anything away if you ever get stuck. It is a fun time, and you are thrust into forced communication with strangers as you share the same goal: escape!

A great time of fun, serious thinking, realizing how smart I may not be but all in all just a really good time in a well thought out and well hosted environment. The staff were fantastic and made us all feel like we were there at Sir Arthur Conan Doyles personal request. Highly recommend it. Will for certain be back for more challenges and laughs

We went for a work outing and had a BLAST. Staff was awesome. We were given clues often enough to help, but not too often as to give anything away. We got out with just over a minute to spare!!Would high recommend this for friends, family, or a work event!Go Kyle and the Unicorns!!!

1st time to this escape room, and it was a ton of fun! The clues were great and the mystery was interesting. We got out with less than 2 minutes to spare. Definitely recommend!

Boss told us we were going to have a team building exercise this morning, so I expected the worst. Then he brought us to Escape MSP, and we had an excellent time! Our host Cameron was terrific. The clues were challenging. We didnt escape from the room in time, but we were close, and felt like a winning team anyway.Definitely recommend this place for a good time!

Awesome experience. Second time dont an escape room and this one was but far better than the first company I did it with. More intricate puzzles and story telling which is important.

Our group did the James Bomb escape room, and it was a blast! We were so close to getting it solved, but missed a couple things. It was a lot of fun, and I wish we had a little more time, but this is definitely recommended.

I attended a birthday celebration for my nephew who decided he wanted enjoy an escape room experience. My in-laws arranged an afternoon at Escape MSP and signed us all up for the James Bomb mission. We had a blast, no really, our bomb went off before we could figure out the last couple of clues. Poof! Even in failure, we had an extremely fun afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed all the puzzles and working together to get things accomplished. We highly recommend Escape MSP and we hope to try a new mission soon!

We had a group of 4 and had a random group of 5 people. It turned out great. We did the James Bond room and won with 3 minutes!! Highly recommended, it was great experience.

We had a great time for family fun night at The Escape Room. We were one move away from getting out. We want to do it again!

Great escape room. Loved the clues and set up. Our only complaint was being put in the room with another group. They were perfectly nice folks, but we had five and they had three which made it a bit crowded and you missed out on a lot of the scenario because other people were just doing it. We could’ve paid extra to be on our own but I didn’t feel like we should have to for what it costs. Overall a super fun experience.

My family and I celebrated my 40th birthday last Saturday and this was the highlight of the day! We had so much fun! I was impressed with all the details, how well our room was put together (Miss Treedeath). It was really fun to see how my family interacted and what strengths we were able to put to use for different tasks. We needed a few hints but made it out with 2 minutes to spare. We will definitely be back!

We have been to a few escape rooms in the Twin Cities and this was a great experience. We did the Miss Treedeath room and it was complicated but fun. If you havent done an escape room before, I would recommend bringing someone that has done a room before as there are a few harder puzzles involved in the room. Would love to come back and try another room, which they have many different options. Just note that there are 2 different doors at the location. One entrance is for select games and the other is for the rest.

We went here as a group who is well versed in escape rooms for a birthday. Bad customer service from the guy in charge of this room. Total bad attitude, didn’t feel like explaining anything and seemed like he hated working there honestly. I get it’s the same routine every time for you, but for us, it’s new so step up to the plate, dude. We asked for clues multiple times before FINALLY getting one, and we made it out of the room, but there were bonuses that weren’t clearly explained and it was just overall confusing and kind of lazy TBH. The guy told us this room had a 50% success rate, and I doubt the 50% who failed were novices - it was just poorly laid out, and he didn’t explain the objective well at all.Trapped Puzzle Rooms and Escape the Room in Nicollet Mall are way better. Had great experiences/rooms there and staff was excellent. Seriously, when you spend enough money to book an entire room and gather 8 people together with various schedules, you don’t want to deal with crabby people who make the experience not worth it.

Great employees that provide an entertaining experience. The rooms were challenging (depending on which one you pick) and fun for all ages.

The escape room was intriguing. Aurgroup the four captains Mulberry gun hole and trying to solve the mystery. Although we gained much ground we didnt quite crack the mystery. Im looking for the challenge next time.

My family and I just finished Investigating Miss Treedeath, with another family, we made it out with 53 seconds to go. Paige was a great host and mission conductor. Thanks Paige for making it a blast. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the rooms.

We escaped from Scullys Cabin, and had a great time. It was a challenging room, with the puzzles JUST hard enough to keep the pressure on and to make our escape very satisfying. We were a group of 6, which seemed to be the ideal size for this room.Producer Lindsey was fantastic ... she psyches us up for the room, and was great in-character at the start of the event. She took time at the end to walk us through what we did well and where we accumulated points, and answered questions as there was a choose-your-own-adventure element to the room. Lindsey is a star!Recommend.

Overall really great experience! Would absolutely do it again. Challenging enough to test you but provided clues when you just felt stumped. Definitely go with a group of people you are comfortable with and it helps to have a variety of skills.

We had a fantastic time with 5 people in our party. The producer of our group was in character and was helpful only when we really needed it. We did complete our mission and had a blast doing it. Would highly recommend.

Great experience for our first one. I went wit my family for my 40th birthday and we had a great time. We were about 30 seconds from solving the puzzle but unfortunately ran out of time. The staff were awesome as well! We can’t wait to do it again!

Had my sons 14th birthday party here. They loved it! Challenging enough to be fun but they still escaped! Host was awesome. Full of energy and fun. Will go back!

We had a GREAT director! It was SOOOO much fun!! I would highly recommend it to anyone! There were just 4 of us, 3 who had never been to an escape room. It was challenging! I think having two more detectives would have been helpful! I am itching to do it again!!! AND again!!!!

We had a friend visiting from out of state and two people from our group had never done escape rooms at all...we did Dr. Ks and Skullys Cabin back to back and had a FANTASTIC TIME!!! Paige and Chris were awesome and super friendly and casual. Same day booking discount was super worth it!! Dr. Ks room had the most unique final feature of any room Ive ever played and the entire experience overall was exhilarating!

Tons of fun. So worth it. We almost got out. 5 min or less and we wouldve beat it. We want to try more. The 15 year olds we brought for a birthday party loved it!

Daughter went for a birthday party and was originally very nervous, because she had never experienced an escape room before. This was the perfect choice for her first time, it was challenging enough to be interesting and easy enough to complete. They did the Treedeath murder mystery room with 7-8 people and got out of the with 9 seconds to spare! Very pleasant experience.

Always have a great time. Staff are friendly and helpful. Today we had Paige helping us and she was great! We have done the James Bomb and The Investigation of Mrs Treedeath both were very fun rooms. Will be going back!

We had an awesome time for our friends birthday. We did the James Bomb room, and it was challenging and you had use teamwork to get through it. Everyone I was with had a positive response and we cant wait to try another room soon!

There were six of us at the Golden Valley location, spanning probably 40 years in age. We spread ourselves evenly over the task of preventing the next in a series of murders, and did so in 59 minutes and 19 seconds! We did require a fair amount of hints, which were thoughtfully engineered, but we all felt quite triumphant in the end. So wait — people actually get paid to invent these puzzles?! I want in! This was super fun, and should be required at least annually for one to pass into the next phase of life.

We had a group of 3 people and did really well. Just short of getting out. We had so much fun. We had the best mission producer Lindsey. I would tell everyone to do this.

We went through 3 different rooms as part of a bachelor party and had a great time. The rooms were fun to figure out and you could tell there was a lot of attention to detail even with the small props; books in a room match the theme of the persons room we were supposed to be in, little objects scattered throughout matched the mission. It was great. Loved the side missions for bonus points on some of the escapes. Our group had a blast. Looking forward to see what else you guys come up with.

This was my first Escape Room experience, and it was awesome! I cant recommend Escape MSP highly enough. So fun and our host was terrific...very engaged, funny and helpful. We were talking on the way home about how we couldnt wait to go back and do another room. Do it!!!

It made for a great afternoon. My fiancee and I, with a group of strangers, manage to accomplish the mission with only 17 seconds to spare! It required great balance of rummaging for clues and brainwork, and the host of our mission clearly has a lot of passion for the job! My only grievance is that one of the other players decided to cheat by opening a door with a credit card which is really annoying for those who are more dedicated to the experience, but other than that it was a thoroughly fun experience. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

Eva was our host for the Dr. Ks Lethal Injection. My group had a good time and just barely ran out of time but it was our first time doing an escape room as well. I would definitely recommend trying it! My group of friends will definitely be back.

My family and I had a blast! While we failed our mission (we were seconds away from solving it all, I promise), we still had a great time, and I would happily return for another attempt at the different room. We got thrown into the experience rather quickly which I think caused some confusion regarding our primary objective for the room but fun was still had by all!

The designers and orchestrators of this venue have most definitely accomplished the desired effect! This was my first time participating in an escape experience and I found it to be challenging, exciting, nerve-racking, thought provoking, comedic and gratifying! I was privileged to engage in this endeavor with four intelligent, co-operative, FUN-LOVING, Super Sleuth Sisters!!!

The room was fantastic, loved the puzzles! Clues may have come a little too quick as I think we finished the room a bit earlier than expected. Also, and this might not apply to everyone, but there is a point system which I thought detracted from the experience. The other people we were partnered with really rushed through to get max points and it felt like the rest of us were left in the dust.

Very fun escape room. There was a little bit of confusion around one of the clues, that seemed not definitive (map location). But our group had a great time and would definitely return to try others!

What a very fun time we had together with special friends! The Mission was challenging and fair. “Sidney” was a tremendous senior detective!!She helped us with clues just when we needed them.We will return to attempt another Mission in the future. A great afternoon treat for retirees and out for an early dinner!

It was a very fun experience for the majority of the time. I wouldve rated it higher but the safe didnt open until the very end not leaving any time to solve the rest of the puzzles. The supervisor said after we failed that the only people who can get the safe open are people experienced with those safes. Dont get me wrong I had fun but not being able to finish because of the safe leaves a bad taste. The supervisor also gave misleading hints.

Expertly timed hints from Chris that kept us on track but didnt reveal too much! We will definitely be back to try another room soon!

So much fun! We are on vacation (my mom and my 2 teenage kids) and this was a great family activity. We had no idea what to expect but the staff were so helpful and enthusiastic (thanks Shelby!!!). I can’t wait to do this again.

The room we went to was super fun! It was my first time and definitely will be doing others! The room its self was very creative and everything was challenging but made sense. I think what made the room fun was the gal working was energetic, positive, and her attitude was on point. Skullys cabin was a blast at the Golden Valley location. Our group of 8 went for a friends birthday party and definitely gave me an idea for others birthdays as well.

Great escape rooms! I loved how enthusiastic the staff were and loved that they take notes on your whole time and then review it with you after - which was really funny to hear if from their perspective. I haven’t been to an escape experience that does this so I think it’s a cool feature to have. The rooms were well decorated and had great puzzles. We all had such a great time that we even decided to try an additional room after we completed the first. Cant wait to go back and try to other rooms!

Great experience! Went with coworkers for a team building event. The puzzle of the escape room was detailed enough that it required critical thinking and not just going through the motions. However, it was also not so hard as to be impossible for the layperson.Will be back to try their harder rooms.

James Bomb escape room was great. Lots of intriguing puzzles, engaging staff, and suspense. Our group of 7 escaped with less than 10 seconds remaining! Highly recommend the Golden Valley location.

We went for a work outing and everyone loved it! It was a great team building opportunity for us. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I felt like we received clues in a good timeline to help us but not give everything away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a really fun time.

The idea was very clever and fairly well executed. The hints given were at times confusing and redirected us away from the goal. Cant give specifics ofc, but theres a safe that requires extreme precision. Overall a pretty good experience, but 2 of the puzzles killed us because of misdirection. Would recommend just take hints with a grain of salt.

Great staff and we had a blast. Wanted to do another right away after we were done. This is my 3rd escape room and it was the best one so far.

Recently did Mr. Duprees Office as a birthday present for my Dad.Unique scoring system compared to other escape/puzzle rooms I have done before - weighs heavily in favor of teams of smaller sizes. They are definitely succeeding at making their own escape room flavor. Mission briefing (pre Mission) was fun and staff helped bring it to life.I really liked that the goal was more than escape. Other rooms give you a premise of sorts, but really the only purpose is to get back out. This room gives you a list of things to accomplish, and based on their scoring system, I would assume their other rooms do the same.Things I didnt like:- Some provided directions within the room were poorly written (to the point where a hint provided by staff did NOT match written directions - that should be a dead giveaway something should be done by Escape MSP).- Seemed as if some components were worn out but they couldnt be bothered to put a bit of money into refreshing them.- Make sure to bring your glasses because some portions could be hard to read. This is the first room Ive ever had an issue in and I dont need glasses!- (This is probably just my preference towards puzzle rooms rather than escape rooms; I dont have an issue with being locked in a room) They provide a button to leave the room in the middle of the mission should you have an emergency, but they explicitly state if ANYONE uses the button the mission is immediately over. This is poor taste in my opinion because every other room with an escape button frames it as feel free to step out at any time if needed, then step back in without any penalty. If you have issues with being trapped in spaces this would probably give you the wrong vibe.

Everything was great but what made it better was our host Chris who was a lot of fun!

It was great fun! We really had no idea what to expect, but after an hour of seeing clever ways of hiding clues, it became apparent to us the creators of this escape room were masterminds!!! We are retired and found it an entertaining evening of excitement. Even though we needed a great deal of help, we managed to get one answer correct! I recommend that you would gather about 7 more of your closer friends and become great detectives for one hour. I found, Syndey, (the staff person) to be fun, helpful and very capable of doing her job well.

Fabulous! Our experience was well thought through and well managed. We thoroughly enjoyed it!We had Cameron D as our “Mission Producer” and he was outstanding. We needed a couple clues during the course of our “mission” and he was right on without giving away too much. His post-game was also excellent and affirming. We made it with 2.5 minutes to spare. Highly recommend! Oh, we had Mr. Dupree’s Office.

Super fun! Great place to celebrate or have fun with family and friends! Lots to do and figure out so our group of eight stayed busy searching for clues the entire time! Although we did not escape, we came close and scored 310 points. Agent Steven was great to work with. We will be back for my teenage daughters birthday!

It was a fun family activity, but even trickier than I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend doing the easiest level first.

Fantastic experience. We’ve done 2 rooms and had a great time both times. The rooms have many puzzles and secrets and the game master keeps the play engaging and fun.

This was a great experience. We live in LA and we are avid fans of escape rooms. The quality here is top-notch and the theatrics of the staff is as well. Plus, the rooms are very challenging - roughly 20% success rate.

Well designed. Hard to see wires or hidden doors and such. We escaped at 1 minute left and had a blast. Totally want to go again. Great staff! Our host did a great job.

Great staging and the staff/lady who helped was very friendly. She even dressed up and was part of our mystery which made things interesting! They provide clues depending on how well you are doing so if youre a rookie or if youve never done this before, Id say definitely go try it out. Escape MSP has a variety of different escape scenarios for various experience levels. Its definitely an hour well spent.

Great place to come with friends, family or work event.I came here with my work team. There were enough of us to do two rooms. Easily the best holiday event we have ever had. Loads of fun and team building. the staff was very friendly and helpful. booking the event was also easy. Cant recommend enough.

Great folks to work with. Really fun experience. They gave some helpful hints just enough so we werent stumped for too long. Highly recommend for any company party or friend/family gathering! Bring the kids too. My kids figured out more clues than I did. I would recommend playing the escape app games a few times too first so you learn how to think and explore the room better.

Went for a team building event with coworkers. This was my first time in an escape room, I was surprised with the level of detail put into the room, nearly everything was a part of one puzzle or another. Had a really good time problem solving, hope to go back and try another room with friends!

I purchased a coupon through groupon for date night with my boyfriend and friends. They recommend being 15 minutes because there are some set up go do but the facility was very accommodating when my party was running a little late. I had originally thought that we were going to go through the mission by ourselves but was surprised that we were partnered with another group of four. Albeit being surprised, It was nice to have another party to spread out and toss ideas with. All in all, we had a wonderful experience, the room we played (investigation of Miss Treedeath) was very challenging and would definitely do it all again!
