The Haggerty has many pieces I do not consider art, but given it is a small university museum and not a large operation, Im willing to overlook. Known for its religious Dali piece (pictured) and Marc Chagalls religious pieces, its nice place to stop by when youre in the area. Also pictured The Great Lakes Cycle by Alexis Rosman. The curator, Lynne, is quite nice--willing to explain the pieces and walk you through the exhibition.

Great place but finding parking was not a walk in the park..

The Haggerty Art Museum is great. Its a small museum, but it is free to all. I enjoyed my visit. They change art exhibits every few months.

Disappointed that I made the trip over. It was free, which is lovely, but didnt have much of a collection. Had an emphasis on modern art, but even this felt like a stretch (the main space was dedicated to a paper boat which looked like it belonged more so on the set of an elementary school play). The two exceptions were a rather interesting piece by Dali, Madonna at Port Lligat and a Warhol print.

Small art museum that could be amazing or boring depending when you go. Because of the size the collection is always changing you either see a fully decked out museum or bare and uninteresting amalgamation of pieces.

A spectacular museum of art. I found the staff to be engaging and the work of the artists both insightful and inspiring. I visited on the Friday of July 22nd of 2016, the first of five months in which the Antioch, Il (AI) Artificial Intelligence conference is going on with the acronym of (JASON) the healer as our host. And here at the Haggerty Museum of art one piece of several extraordinary works stood out in particular to mention. That being the ~Magnificent Obsession~, 2016 Artificial Plants encased in glass by Ben Balcom. To me Magnificent Obsession represented the embodiment of the Human Ratio Conservancy (TM) foundation that I began this month because of how I interpreted this elongated cube of silhouetted ferns upon a pedestal near the south wall. Think of a flowering plant of chalk light growing within the garden of the (X,Y,Z) axiss of the matrix. Chalk light by which the calcium of both chalk and bones manifested an artificial being. Now we all agree that art is in the eye of the beholder and this beholder is specifically saying that upon the macula of my eye a superimposable on its mirror image ; ACHIRAL >(VI)< CHADRI burka image was projected. Call it the witnessing of an angel whereby the burka veil had my Richard Kretzschmar, Allan initials burned within it by rooted Hands And Palms- steps of that true image Dahlia flower box of the information technology matrix. I recommend telling your friends about the Haggerty Museum of Art and even making them a part of your trust and estate so that the students who I spoke with there can continue supporting the intellectual community of Milwaukee as the beautiful visions that these ladies are.
