Another great angle of the bridge and city. Parking is free although a little tricky to get to. Take your time and it will be worth it. Great place for pics for that once in a lifetime trip or an annual family pic. Still have to be careful during Covid, but when we went there was enough space that mask shouldn’t be an issue so you can get great pics without worry.

This was the best spot to view SF bay, Golden Gate Bridge and amazing sunset. Be mindful of infamous SF bay fog so one may not able to see sunset or bridge on foggy day. One can also see rolling fog descending from pacific to bay which was unique experience. Golden Gate Vista Point is the best spot along drive for best bridge and sunset view. There are other view spots along oneway drive on Conzelman Rd. There is also oneway tunnel on a way which has more than 5 min red stop light at a time so don’t be impatient.

Really good place to park your car and enjoy the view. A lot of tourist come to click the pictures with this amazing background. Even on the weekend it was not crowded once we reached there - the route might be bit crowded but once you cross that part- it’s really smooth ride.

Best views of the bridge and city that I know. However, come dressed warmed no matter what your weather app tells you about the weather that day! There is a constant, chilling wind that blows strongly from the ocean which will freeze your fingers in minutes; bring gloves.

The Golden Gate Bridge has been the subject of countless photos by every kind of photographer who has ever set foot in San Francisco. There are literally thousands of angles from which you can see it. You can imagine it was quite difficult to distill this list to only five! But taking everything into account, these are my favorite places to see the Golden Gate Bridge, both as a photographer and as a resident. What are your favorites? Leave a comment and let me know, and your place could be the next one for my photoshoot!

There is no specific name of this place, from where you can see the complete bridge from this location. I found this place while walking on the street. This place is really amazing. Unfortunately there is no parking space from where I have taken this pics, so you have to walk there to find out the exact place. Its good for hiking. I randomly clicked few shots and posted here.

Very much worth the trip. I visited twice during my trip. I highly recommend trying to visit on a clear day, which may be easier said than done in San Fran. The clear, sunny weather makes for great photos and a great view of San Fran. When I visited on the foggy, gray day, viability was poor and it was 20-30 degrees colder than downtown! There is a bathroom on site. There is a steady flow of tour buses (I reviewed the Big Bus company separately) and car traffic. Finding a parking spot was difficult—basically everyone has to wait for someone to pull out. If you want to get that perfect photo (like all the people who stand on the wall and hold up the hands with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background), you will bed to be patient. Hundreds of people are trying to get the same shot. You’ll see in my photos how dramatic the San Fran bay fog can be!

Wonderful place to view the Golden Gate bridge in whole though really close. There quite a few people who want to do that so in busy hours they make a road one way to form a loop and use one lane for parking, smart decision. There is a wide trail path starting from there that goes down almost to the water, nice to follow if you have hour or two.And of course the battery Spencer is located at the same place which is great to see, it had been protecting the bay in the past.

Simply a must do to get the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge. There is a little bit of a drive to get there, with a 5 minute long red light to travel through the tunnel on the winding road up the Marin County. Generally, the view point is quite crowded, so finding a parking spot can be tricky.

Best spot to get a good view of the whole Golden Gate bridge. Late afternoon is the best time for pictures since the sun would be on the west side of the bridge, the same side this viewing spot is on.Parking can be tricky due to large number of visitors. However, visitors usually stay only a short time here, so parking spots are freed up frequently.

There are a few pull offs along the side of the road. Try to get in to the first one by scooting over to the right, so as to let other cars pass, and patiently wait for someone to leave, kind of like at the airport arrivals sections. Traffic will HAVE to keep moving so move over enough that the car behind can get around. Several viewpoints are good but the 1st and 2nd are great. Be aware there is only a thin wire fence separating you from a fairly steep mountain side, I say that because with my kids I now have a couple extra gray hairs...(you can like this review if you understand)
