Great park for children. One of the best playgrounds in the area. Theres a rubberized surface around all the playground equipment. Nice small pond for fishing and a loop trail that normally has different pages of a story at various spots. Our little ones love to run ahead to see the next pages. Only draw back is that the playground is completely out in the little shade so bring plenty of water. Theres a nice dig park on the other side for those with furry kids.
We go there for the well maintained dog park. Like most the larger dogs and smaller dogs have separate areas. All the other people we have met there are very friendly and great to share stories with!
(10/1/20) Three visits, have not returned after 3rd. We’ve just rescued a 70lb Coonhound. She loves to play with other dogs and they play hard. Unfortunately, we owners are liable for anything our Dogs do. Even with the warning, Owners with small dogs and puppies still enter the large area; opening us large dog owners to possible liability if their small/puppies get hurt.Along the entry of and on the trails, Owners are not cleaning-up after their dogs. Our last visit was a Sunday and the smell from the full trashcans made us have to leave.Rules should be enforced and Park should be maintained better. Tried emailing the Parks department listed on the Website and the email bounced.
Why a really fantastic park! The Medina County Parks are really great. This one offers both a paved walking trail and an unpaved nature trail. In a joint project with the Medina County District Library, the paved walk includes a StoryWalk experience that integrates a children’s book with the nature experience—encouraging literacy and physical activity. The nature walk allows visitors to enter the local ecosystem, with lots of wildlife in a beautiful forest. You will come back again and again.
Great lovely park. Nice pond where people can go fishing. Smooth walking path around and the playground has something for every kid. Only wish the bathroom wasnt a whole in the ground.
Hiked the trails. They were very well-marked and it is a fairly level trek. Nice fishing pond. Beautiful playground for kids. Nice covered Pavilion area to picnic. And of course there are two different dog fenced parks one for large dogs and one for small dogs less than 30#. While I was there I was able to observe an owl, a black squirrel, and several hawks.
Great place to take the pooch. Nice trails for walking .
Park was nice and clean pretty busy not everyone wore masks!
Always fantastic. Great park for my kids and a nice walk through the woods and around the pond
A very clean and friendly park .. to be alone or with a loved one its small enough or large enough for whatever you want to do. Swings for kids and benches and bike trails walking trails...it is all there.
Great walking paths, nicely shaded, dogs have a huge fenced section with paths separate from the other walking paths so no worries about running into loose dogs on your walk.
Best dog park Ive been to in the area. Wooded paths and large open area. Plenty of space to social distance.
Fantastic dog park - the best Ive been to. Its huge, fully fenced in, and has separate small (1 acre) and large (6 acres) dog areas, restrooms, water fountains (for humans and dogs) and a hose off your dog station. The large dog area even has trails in the woods to walk around. It can get muddy at times, though thats true of all dog parks that arent gravel. Its a normal people park too, so you can take your dogs for a calm leashed walk once theyre tired out.
Awesome park! dog absolutely loved it and so did we!
Perfect place for your pooch to roam free. Gorgeous grounds! What a wonderful park.
Loved the dog park, big for running the dog and throwing objects, big and small areaMost people pickup after their pets, there is always those few unfortunatelyShaded in areas,Water is turned off due to covid, remember to bring your ownPark area has pavillon. Pond and trails to walk
Only my second visit today but heaps of dog poop all over. Why dont people clean up after their dogs? Its so gross and disgusting.
Well kept. Nice playground. Clean pavillion. Very green and beautiful.
Have gone to C. L. M. Park many times. To the dog park, for Health Talks and Walks and picnics with groups. Always a clean and enjoyablevisit !!
Large fenced in area to let dogs explore off leash.
I love it here. It has a spongy ground. The children dont get dirty playing as there are no words cops our the like. Visitors are good people and it seems that the kids get along. Parents are respectful of the younger ones. Just a really nice atmosphere every time Ive come here. Beautiful paved walk around the lake. Fishing on a dock for the younger ones. Plenty of parking and benches.
Very nicely layed out park. Biggest drawback may be too many people know about it. Large dogpark with separate areas for over and under 30lbs
Its a nice place to walk and lake their too..
Dog park closed due to covid-19 but the rest still open and good parking but still not many shade trees. Plenty of Canadian geese!
Huge dog park with lots of trails, all fenced in so theres no need to worry about dogs bounding off in the woods, pond in the warmer months for them to play in and cool off. Ive only seen a single incident with an aggressive dog in my year of coming here, and nobody was hurt during it. Can get a little muddy in the spring, but in the warmer months they have a hose so you can rinse your dog off before leaving.
Great clean dog park.
Great place to hike
The shelter here is very nice. Close to the parking lot, bathrooms,a good size grill for cooking and plenty of tables and chairs for large groups. A nice feature of the shelter is that the ceiling is closed so it prevents yellow jackets hornets and birds setting up house in the rafters. The walking trails are clean and well marked .The downside is that the area is infested with mosquitos and poison ivy so make sure you have bug spray.
Great time with my family. Great park
Nice park with a paved and nature trail.
Very well kept. Decent restrooms. Nice pond.
Nice dog park, fishing pond, restrooms, playground, paved and gravel trails, drinking fountain for people and dogs and benches throughout to rest at.
Amazing, awesome and fantastic Dog park here. Fully enclosed but partially wooded with trails and a pond for the dogs to play in. Theres a smaller dog (30lbs or less) park too . Theres a hose station just outside the gate where you can clean your pup and the station is surrounded by cement so theres no chance for your dog to get muddy again.Bring water and a bowl if you dont want your pup to drink to pond water, there is only one water station and its outside of the fence.
There seems to always be aggressive dogs there and their owners just shouldnt have them there around other dogs.
We take our dogs to the dog park which is part of the complex. Incredibly beautiful 7 acre dog park with water and hiking trails. Love this place as much as our dogs do!
Large playground. Multiple trails (including a story trail and nature trail)
Clean, beautiful, amazing and huge! Dogs had a blast.
Best dog park Ive ever been to
A great place to bring the family for a picnic. followed by the kids playing on the rubberized floor of the playground. then you can take a walk around the pond, or trails. listen to the planes take off, have the kids stare in amazement at the low flying planes. all in all one of the best parks in medina.great scenery come sunset.
I really like there is a separate small and big dog area. There is a path in each fenced area. Also a paved path, play area, fishing pond, Covered picnic tables and its a great place for photos.
Nice little place to take a break for an hour. Play ground. Dog walking area. Pond and just 4 minutes off the highway. Clean and well maintained.
Towards the end of fall through the beginning of spring this is one of the main parks I go to. But last year when they filled the pond with water my dog got sick after just 2 weeks. It is no fun seeing your puppy not feeling well and pooping bloody poop. And Ive talked to many others who have had similar issues. While many people will blame it on owners not picking up after their dog, no one is going to wade into filthy water to pick up their dogs poop underwater, nor can anyone do anything when they pee in the pond. Not to mention the mosquitoes the water attracts. Even parks like bow wow beach (which is much, much larger) have to shut down the park every other week due to water quality issues. Ill be back when they drain the pond in the fall
This park is probably one of the best in Medina. The playground is huge and so fun for kids. There is a beautiful lake and walking trails. Also there is a dog park here as well as a pavilion. It is our new favorite park.
Perfect for my high energy puppy. She gets so well socialised because she gets to meet so many dogs and people. Plus, by the end of our trip she falls asleep on the couch giving us a moment of calm.
Lots of different things to do for all ages and I love the softness of the ground material. So easy on the joints for the parents and keeps shoes clean even on rainy days.
Love the dog park!
Took my dogs to the dog park here for the first time and was inlove with the area! There is a nice path you can walk while your dogs roam around and even a pond in the summer I will be most definitely going back for!
Kids and dogs love this park. Beautiful concrete also. I often wonder about the man who delivered it. I may not be much but, I am all I think about.
Best dog park around!
Play area is clean and fun for all ages. The bouncy ground in the play area made it so my 1 year old could wobble around without falling on hard concrete or dirt. Bathrooms, both men and women had changing tables in them for infants. Hopefully next time we can walk the trails.
This is a fantastic dog park. It is huge, has enough room for walks in the forest and runs in the lake with your pup. They do allow you to segregate small dogs from normal dogs, but only the normal dogs have access to the lake and fenced in walking trails.Generally the people here have been friendly and pick up more of the dog poop than you would expect. Only complaint is the lake there is small and has to be majority dog pee at this point. Im not sure if this even can be fixed and I prefer the feces lake to no lake, but it is an issue.
Such a wonderful park. Nice and big, with a path and trees. Dogs love it.
We really like this park because of the wonderful playground for little kids and older ones. The ground is rubbery so it’s perfect when all the other playgrounds are muddy. Not much shade in the summer, except on part of the wooded trail. It’s beautiful. I even saw a few black squirrels last year while walking the trail.
Great place for dogs to be crazy
Best park in Medina County! Wonderful playground and amazing walking trail and pond. Nice dog park as well.
Nice paved walking paths in addition to a larger nature path, recently upgraded playground great for young children, wildlife common around pond
This is one of the absolute best dog parks around! The large dog area is huge with a lot of off leash wooded trails, there are so many smells to sniff for my pup!
Awesome dog park, where dogs can be unleashed. Other dogs have been great nearly everytime.
Great park everything is easily accessible right off of the parking lot. Lovely pond, scenic trails and a great soft solid rubber turfed playground. Typically a very well maintained and clean park. Has a sledding hill for winter full too. Huge dog park with two sides, its devided by the dogs size.
Oh my goodness this is the most awesome dog park! It couldnt be any better! The pond is awesome. I like how some parts are shaded. Lots of area for the dogs to play. I like how there are areas of gravel and areas of grass- not just all gravel.
Beautiful park, we love it
Great park, nice playground and walking path. Bring your fishing rod and go fishing!
If you need a cushy surface this is a great playground for that. However, it is not fenced and there is a pond. I struggle taking my little ones there because it is too open for little children.
Dog park heaven, large and small areas.
Love this park, awesome trails. Awesome playground. Restrooms, drinking fountains for people and pets.
Have used the park since it was built... excellent!
The most awesome dog park around! Hiking paths, and several acres of fenced in area for the dogs!
Took my granddaughters here today and had a wonderful time! Very nice park!
Great park with easy walking trails and a large pond you can fish in and walk around. The playground has a lot of things for kids of all ages and the best part is the soft springy pad in place of dirt or mulch. There is also a huge fenced in dog park on the other end of the trail for you dog parents. We drive 25 minutes to get to this park and its totally worth it.
Best place to roam
Love the fenced in wooded trails on the big dog side of the park.
The nature trail was nice.
Great place to take your pooch. Theres a pond for them to swim in, lots of trails to follow and benches to sit on. Also has a water hose to make sure you dont have a muddy dog getting in your car.
Excellent family park!
Hands down the best dog park weve ever visited!
Such a beautiful park. One of the best dog parks I have ever visited, and the trail in the woods is lovely.
Great dog park. Lots of room for the dogs to run around.
Great dog parks one for 30lbs and under and one for larger dogs. Grat park you can walk with very nice modern playground for kids
It is the Cadillac of dog parks! Water feature and lots of room to run and play. My sweet girl loves it here.
Love this park
The BEST one around! This is also the only park that Ive been to where grandparents are there with their grandchildren on a regular basis. Its ALWAYS clean!
There is a nice walking trail and a fishing pond. There are restrooms, but there is no running water. The playground is very crowded, but the equipment is very nice and meant to be inclusive for children with disabilities.
Very nice park! Nice walking trail to take the family on, and the dog park looks awesome
Great location with a dog park, pavilion, hiking, paved walking trail, huge playground & fishing!
Dog park, kid park, walking/running trail, fishing... I mean what more could you want?!? The dog park is easily the best in the county. We live nearby, but we always see people from 30-40 miles away bringing their dogs bc it just cant be beat! Several acres, pond, and enclosed trails through the woods that let your doggy live out all his wildest dreams of running freely through the woods, leaves, and mud! We can spend hours at this park in a nice day. Hidden gem ️
Nice 1 mile paved path through some pretty scenery. Also a 1 mile nature trail and nice dog area.
Beautiful park year round. The kids love it, the dogs love it and I love it!
Best dog park overall.
The park itself deserves a 5 star rating. It is wonderfully maintained. We have been going there now for almost two years to take our dogs to the dog park section. It is wonderful to let the dogs play off-leash and wear them out. The reason for the one star rating I give now is more for the last three visits we have made to the dog park and it is for the purse dog owners. There are some dog owners of these 2 - 3 pound purse dogs that keep bringing their dogs into the large dog park and get upset when the big dogs pick on their little dogs. Thats why there is a little dog park for dogs under 30 pounds. Do these owners think they are privileged in some way. FOLLOW THE RULES PEOPLE to avoid a bad experience. The last occurrence the lady had a dog at her feet and might have weighed all of 2 pounds and she spent the entire time on her cell phone. I cant stress enough, READ THE RULES. they are posted right at the entrance of the dog parks. I have seen Great Danes, American Indian Dogs, Huskies, and a variety of Hunting Dogs. I have talked to several of the owners of these large breed dogs and they do not like these purse dogs in the large dog park either. To all you purse dog owners, you need to realize that it is in the nature of a hunting dog to catch rabbits and squirrels and bring them to their owners. Why do you think dog day care facilities like Camp Bow Wow separate the dogs by size in play areas. This wasnt going on at the park until just the past couple months and I feel I cannot bring my dog there anymore because of the risk of a injury to either of the dogs large or small because of people that feel they are above the rules.
Incredible dog park. It’s plenty big to let our Boxer run free, and get out all of her puppy energy. In addition, the free feeling provides a great opportunity to test off leash commands. Although it’s a 30 minute drive for us, my wife and I truly believe it’s well worth the time!
My two german Shepherds LOVED this place. They had plenty of room to run and play along with a watering spot to get cooled off in, not to mention making plenty of new pupper friends during their time there.
I really like everything this park has to offer. The kids play area is nicely put together and pretty large. Very soft and dry rubberized top throughout the entire playground. The kids always dread leaving. Theres concrete walking paths and a dog park. The fishing pond is nice for those of you trying to teach young anglers. Other parks should strive to copy what they have here.
Very pretty park. Laid out very nicely.
Very nice place! Easy to find
Love this park! Accessible, plenty of parking, and just an idyllic area of Medina.
