Very nice and well-kept park across from Lynchburg. Has a playground, a boat landing, a climbing wall (further down the road) and good views of the city for pictures

A nice Park, a little small, but you can do canoeing and have pretty views of Lynchbur from the river.

Playground equipment is nice and new shape but there is no restroom

Nice boat landing with a nice playground, porta-potties(which is not the highlight lol), drinking water fountain and a River Adventures building in the parking lot. Beautiful rock face to take pictures of and in front of. The James River water fountain its in clear view and fishing is accessible there as well.

Nice small park right on the riverbank. Has a little playground mostly good for the under 10 crowd. Usually isnt packed and offers a lovely view of the river and the downtown skyline.

Great little place to put in a canoe or kayak, clean toddler playground and even a short trail along the river.

Awesome spot to drop by real quick. Theres a small area for kids to play with picnic tables to set at. Also there is a smoothly paved walk area thats a nice flat walk about 1 mile round trip. I like to drop by and watch the river very relaxing and enjoyable. Direct access to the river. Beautiful.

Great place to swim

Nice, clean park with boat access to James River, playground, and walking trail. Good view of downtown Lynchburg; bathrooms were very clean.

Quiet and secluded, Riveredge has a lot of the charm of a local river park without the crowds of the Lynchburg side. Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards are available for rent and there is a small playground and picnic area.

Seems not kept upNice rest rooms are locked. Have to use port a potties. Dog stations have NO supplies. Nice river views / access. Short asphalt trail.

Great little area along the james river

Great place to put in boats, kayaks or canoes. Also has a great paved trail and playground.

My 6 year old daughter witnessed a group fight on the park grounds on a Saturday. We were playing at the park area when people pulled up in cars and in a matter of minutes there were several people beating one person up in the parking lot. This is the first time my daughter had seen anything like this and it was difficult to explain. There was no police supervision of the area during the weekend while we were there. We called the police but left before they got there. If the county wants to offer an area like this they NEED to supervise it to make sure it doesnt turn into a drug trafficking area BEFORE there is trouble but amherst always waits until something happens to take action.

The view is beautiful and peaceful

A great place to go on a date or take your family. Beautiful scenery and plenty to do. I definitely recommend this place.

It was a day of shopping w the wife it was clean and relaxing

It is clean and convenient. A great place when I have a couple free minutes to cast a line out. There is a pubpic boat ramp here.
