I went there with my wife and kids its very nice water park we have a lot of fun l love it
I’ve had amazing experiences but summer has sucked without it being openIf possible please open
Kids love it,great place to leave them with no worries.
Its a pretty cool place. Can bring your BBQ stuff which is awesome. The wave pool is intense, and a lot of fun. If you want to chill though and relax the lazy river is great for that. Overall its a cool place to cool off in the summer for a few hours. It would be cool to have a few more faster paced slides though.
Came here on a Saturday about 11AM, after it opened. Its a big park with a lot of reclining deck chairs and umbrellas. The atmosphere is fun and very family friendly and there is a diverse group of people there. There are plenty of areas you can grill with charcoal and I saw several childrens birthday celebrations. There were a lot of life guards and police there to protect everyone. The snack bar has the standard fare of burgers, hotdogs, and fries. My two orders of fries were cooked to order and affordable. The wave pool and slides are great, as well as the lazy river. Kids will like the play areas.
This waterpark is really cute and entertaining. The reason for the 3 stars is for the lifeguards letting so much fly. Kids without parents in the lazy river being wild (going in and out of their tubes, throwing tubes at each other, etc). Then at the kids pool that says its for kids under a certain height, adults and teens are going in there and not letting the younger kids get through, hanging out under the buckets not to mention how many times kids running knocking my 18 month old son down. Other than kids not being supervised and rules not applying to everyone, there is plenty to do here and we still enjoyed ourselves. Its also cool that they let you bring in your own food and drinks.
I dont know how I have lived in Oakland County most if my life and never visited this place. We went early so we wouldnt have to deal with the crowds and we went on an overcast day. It was really nice to have no lines to deal with on a summer weekend. Some of the equipment is a little dated but still in good shape. We will have to go here more often.
We just had an amazing day with our friends. We arrived at 11am, a bit of a line, could use an extra person at the gate, but hardly puts a damper on the day. My friends and I have been taking our kids to the waterpark for the last two years and having a blast. We like to find a canopy and stake out the area for the day. This gives our kids a home location so it is easy for them to find us. We bought a bag of $4 charcoal and brought some hot dogs and had a great lunch. We also brought our own drinks and snacks.. I dont think anyone of us spent a penny at the snack place (so you can be very economical). We went from the kids area to the wave pool and back. Only one kid in our group used the slide, mostly because the other kids were too short or not interested. I think the highlight of the park is the lazy river! After reading the other reviews, I am surprised by the comparisons to the big water parks... This is a great county park and a great way to spend the day, I dont think this is a vacation destination, but if you were on vacation in Madison Heights I would say ENJOY!! You will have a great time!!
This place is well worth the visit. I visited Red Oaks for a summer camp field trip and everybody enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Theres enough water slides, pools, and even a lazy river to satisfy a variety of water park desires. I recommend bringing family and friends here for an outing during the day.
I hadnt been to red oaks waterpark in years. I went occasionally as a kid but I had no idea how much it has improved over the years. The park was impeccably clean and My kids had an absolute blast! We look forward to returning next summer!
We went as a family and all enjoyed this immensely! Lightning to the music was awesome. Great job!
What a great local water park for residents! We were just visiting but the price is reasonable especially for what you get. A great wave pool, lazy river, water slides, and a kids splash area. Definitely worth checking out!
Always went here. Love it. Expensive but love it.
Great place for kids. Very well maintained, plenty of staff who are very friendly. Go early if you want a place to sit and set up a spot! Highly recommend and will be back!
Ive been here maybe 3 or 4 times now, usually on the 4th of July. Always have a fantastic time with family and friends.
I love this water park. we are season pass holders. BUT when its at capacity they will turn you away and dont put anything on their website and wont answer the phones so you could drive all the way there and not be able to get in.
Is a nice water park. But 2 years ago start coming like a wave of unwanted people. The place was quiet and everybody share. Now u have to keep an eye on all your stuff at all the time. People will hug the grills and not want to share. Big grups of people go and hug. A big area with like 5 or 6 tables. Is time ti look for another water park
Had a great time as usual with family. Calm and quite day with sunny skies. Facility was clean and staff was helpful. Will be back again.
Clean, safe and fun place. Lots of life guards attentive in their duties. All the water activities were pleasant and refreshing!
Had a great time at Red Oaks today! Very clean and the staff was super friendly! Lots to do for all ages, the day flew by, very enjoyable :)
It was my first time here and I dont know how to swim. But I had a great time with family and friends. Theres different things for everyone. Wish I had took some pictures.
Really great water park for all ahmge groups. Nice little kiddie area for the little ones. Areas to hang out and have a pic nic. Life guards are on point. We seen a life guard save this little girls life she almost drowned. No need to worry about that lifeguards know how to do their job.
Nice place. Tend to play the same few songs over and over though. That gets a little annoying. Nice to have music playing throughout the park but a little diversity would be great.
Did the Christmas light show. My daughter loved it!
Came in with family two hours before it closed, swam for ten minutes before everyone got kicked out from the park when it got a lil cloudy because of a lightning warning. Asked for a refund and at least a discount from the cashier and manager since we didnt even get a fraction of our moneys worth, but they declined because of their policy. Easy money for them, but they wont be getting any from me ever again.
Amazing place, but go early lines get long
Very accommodating water, family friendly has all the conveniences anyone would want to spend the day. Loved the fact that we had the option of bringing our own food..
Had a blast till my kid got pulled by yhe wave pool. I lost track of him and he became terrified and cried for help from a lifeguard and was not helped. Kind of ruined the day
Had great fun at this water park and on the plus side the life guards are trained really well to make sure kids and everyone are safe
I love Red Oaks water park. However, i am really disappointed in my last experience. I had to pay 17$ because i am not a Oakland County resident, ok i guess. I arrive at the park at maybe 2:30 and between then and 6 oclock the wave pool was shut down 3 times!!!! As soon as we got in, we had to get out because of some chemical thing. So if the pool is closed the lazy river is crowded and the lines for the slide are too long. I feel like it was a waste of time and money at that point.
Had a ball. Lots of life guards. Plenty of spots to chill. The splash pad is awesome.
I love this place. Fun things to do that the kids will enjoy on a hot day.
Great park and clean water they had a water check in the kiddie pool area also so its good to know they care about water cleanliness!
I really like this water park, and its only one block from my house. Lazy river, wave pool, 3 slides, and a kiddie play area. I always go in the middle of the week though, Friday thru Sunday its way overcrowded, they even expanded the parking lot so they could jam more people in. Thats why only 4 stars
I really like it. The slides are AWESOME and it’s a really fun place to hang out, have picnics etc.
Little expensive for entry in my opinion, but plenty of options for the kids to enjoy. It can occupy your time and we love the wave pool.
The park itself is nice. Staff kind of suck and seem unhappy with their jobs. Other drawback, summer vacation means all the kid camps coming by and not watching their kids in the wave pool. Pool had to be shut down 4 times in three hours to kids nearly drowning.
Great place for local fun . Near to City and surely one can spend whole day. Picnic tables and barbacue are available here . Plan for it ..
Great place especially loved walking in the river in evening for adults. Great staff, clean and friendly staff.
Life guards were on it but still allowed for funHuge little kids area.Wave pool was the only disappointment, 10m of waiting for 1 minute of wave
Good place to take your children of all ages good safety lifeguards throughout the location friendly very helpful
We had fun nice place to come for birthdays, get togethers or just family fun they serve food but I feel its a bit pricey but thats cool because they have tables and grill areas were you can bring your own food in and bbq I reccomend you go
I lost my locker key somewhere but the staff saved me from the $25 fee because it was in the lost and found. Very nice indeed.
My family had a great time. Its clean and family friendly. The staff is great. The season pass is the way to go.The only thing we didnt like was that there was a build up of empty tubes in the wave pool making difficult to swim in.All and all a nice place.
I went to red oaks and paid full price to get in (wasnt told anything at the ticket gate)...was told the kiddie area would be up and running in about an hour or so. We broke out the food and started grilling and after about an hour and a half we asked if the kiddie area was gonna open and they told us it would be down all day! The manager Evan told us if we wanted to leave now and come back another day we could do that...but we spent all that money on food and already started grilling it! So i asked for a discount on my tickets and evan proceeded to rudely tell me sorry...i only come here for my little ones to play in the kiddie area! I wont be coming back and im telling all my friends and family to stay away from this place and encouraging them to tell theirs as well!
Loads of fun! I cant believe Ive been living in Warren for 4 years now and I have never been to this place. The wave pool was my favorite part. The water seemed clean and not stink very strongly of chlorine like a lot of public pools. I really love the fact that you can bring your own coolers and food and beverages etc. Although the food at the concession stand was surprisingly good! The burger was a real barbecued. Also, I dont have children. But my girlfriend pointed out that the lifeguards at the kiddie pool area were very very attentive. circling and scanning very very closely . They really seemed focused. If I where a parent I would especially appreciate that. Lost one star because The waterslides actually werent that great. I stopped several times as I was going down . I could have used a stronger force of water going down with me. I had to scoot myself down a couple times . I am a 200 pound man. Smaller people might not have this problem? I will definitely be going back. Thinking about buying a year-round pass.
Super clean, and the workers are so nice and helpful! Fun for all ages! Thank you Red Oaks for the perfect day in the sun!
Love it! Great deal, nice environment, great staff can bring outside food and it only cost me $64 for 8 people. I can’t wait to return.
Loved it. Nice price has enough for every age and the attention of the lifeguard is impressive
Great, but you cant bring any chairs of any kind,no bar b que pits from outside.
When here with my camp its good but ive seen better
We live nearby and come here often. The park has plenty of chairs, picnic tables, grills, shade, life jackets, large inner tubes and a huge covered picnic area. The park employs many well trained life guards at the wave pool as the water is very deep at one end. The other end is walk in gradually like a lake. The lazy rive has enough inner tubes for all and the slides rarely have long queues. We have never had anything stolen from our spot and everyone there comes for hassle free summertime enjoyment. The park is easily accessible just 3 miles NE of I-75 & I-696 interchange.
It wasnt very expensive and you can bring your own food and they even have bbqs. My kids had a blast!
Overall Consenus:Boring after a couple of times in the lazy river and the wave pool each visit. There is a slide (usually with a huge line) that could keep you entertained for a little bit longer. The people you are with depends on how much fun youll have. Great place to relax with family and chill. I recommend no more than 3 times a summer... Ive only went once this year and Im fine!Disliked Experiences:One of the security guards came up to me and told my family that we werent allowed to play speakers anymore no matter the volume (quite absurd lol). Someone also bought a chair off another family for $20 which I thought was really funny because there were so many available, that lazy man couldve saved his money. I got unlucky and stepped on some sort of invisible scrap metal on my way into the wavepool and it got in my big toe and really hurt, had to pull it out with tweezers.
Go every year for my Grandsons Birthday Party ! Always had fun & love the place
Could make better use of the space but the wave pool is great, slides could be faster but the food is affordable and theres plenty of shaded spots.
Fun waterpark but after a bit it kinda gets boring
Pretty fun place would probably be more fun if the workers there actually did their jobs!!!
Fun rides for me and my kids
Always love coming here. The whole family loves the wave pool. 3 water slides. A childrens area. A large lazy river. They serve snacks at really good prices. The tubes for the wave pool and the lazy river are free. Ive never seen them run out. Lounge chairs and beds are free as well. You can even pack your own food if you want and also grill in certain areas. No alcohol though. Usually spend several hours here so its worth the price which isnt too bad either.
This is a good park to take the kids they provide grills and let u bring ur own food to cook ull enjoy it here
Went for the drive thru Chistmas light show, did good for a 5-10 minute drive.
Fun place to take the kids and Enjoy with the family just make sure to get there early on weekends cuz it gets busy fast.
Over priced and over crowded! Yearly passes to parks with clean beaches and lakes as well as beachside playgrounds are just as fun and better priced!! Stony Creek metropark coats 35$ for a year!! Their beach, playground and giant waterslide are awesome!!
Expensive and crowded. I would recommend buying tickets ahead of time because that line is insane. The line to get into the park is just slightly less insane. They lines for a tube or the slide are in third place for insanity. I get it, it is a water park, I can expect some lines, but this is next level. If they could streamline that part, theyd earn another star. Also, limited shady areas. It would behoove them to at least offer umbrella rentals or simply add more umbrellas/cover.
Take my kid here all the time and she loves it.
Friendly atmosphere. Feel like a mini vacation
Worst park ever, too expensive. Rude staff, child had fun though.
So far had a great experience nothing but good things to say. Does get packed on weekends. Theres lots to do for everyone of all ages and for families. Long line for food though. Will definitely go again and highly recommend
I love coming here but when its over filled, its not any fun.
It was clean and concessions were quick in taking orders and filling them.
Best Waterpark Ive ever been to. I would recommend it to everybody
This place is the greatest place to go to locally when the weather is as hellYou have to get here early if you want good seats and floats. If you cant find parking your first round then just go to Meier market right next door park and walk over. I will be purchasing season pass so worth it.Love me some red oak waterpark
Nice place to take the family and have a great time
We had a great time at the park! Very friendly staff and the park was small enough to be personal and big enough where there was no wait... Very nice park and we will be going back again...
Perfect place to be on hot summer days. Park is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of inflatables and life jackets for kids. Food and drinks are pricey, so pack a lunch. Discounts for Oakland County residences.
Fun place great when you want to spend time with family and friends
Very good experience overall, however those of lighter build beware. You will find the slides far more slippery, not a negative complaint but something to think about.
Small but still alot of fun. Glad we went.
Wave pool, water slìdes, and warm lazy river. Tasty snack bar, too.
Kids had a blast really enjoyed the day there .
I arrived to park early bought a extra ticket because he was unable to join us till later he pulled and was rudely told he couldnt park because he didnt have a ticket I walked the ticket to him and he was still told oh well ticket or not he cant park I asked why he rudely stated because theres no spots I know this employee is lieing because I am watching him wave cars in I said if theres no parking then are u letting cars in he said because they have a blue band and already been in the park i also was wearing a blue band but still he wanted to tell us we couldnt park I ask where we should park and said dont know so basically you take my money make up a rule about not enough parking and u must have a blue band to to park I complied with all of them and still the kids was a complete and total bully and I am beyond disgusted and will never return or suggest anyone else too
It was so fun I loved it! A little bit crowded in the afternoon but with this heat it was expected...
Fun for the whole family. Think that the waves could have lasted longer, and a little too crowded in the pool, like the kids that uses the tubes because they arent good swimmers were in the deep end which made it hard to actually enjoy the waves, couldnt come up for air without a little kid over your head, or little kids around your legs dragging you downward.
We had a blast, staff is friendly, very clean for a water park, and i love the lazy river!
Had so much fun park was clean and fun. Want to go every week to relax. Line was not long to get in! Loved my day with friends.
Nice water park its $14 to get in
Always a good time. Go early cause cause it gets pretty crowded as the day goes along.
Its really fun and great for all people
Good place for kids
Water park was clean, and the wave pool is fun, but if youre older than 13 youll only have fun with the waterslide and wave pool. I do plan on going back over the summer though
Lots of fun with the kids area and wave pool. Hard to get chairs as people get there and hoard them even though they arent using all of them. Bathrooms are really far from the childrens play area.
