Came to Shatto 39 Lanes to have a few drinks with a couple friends. The drinks are fantastic, the space is amazing! The bartender is always on point and does his job sooo well. Cant wait to come back again!

First time there with my children. We all had fun bowling and playing video games. The staff and security where very friendly. Excellent Customer Service .

Its been 30 years since my last visit. This place hasnt changed. It was like visiting an old family member. I love to see that shatto lanes has kept up with the modern times by adding digital screens and what not.

Diverse group, everyone is friendly. Paid for 3 games, but only had time for 2, but could not get money back for the game not played. Manager not there to talk to either. Not sure why that would be. Still good fun. Even though I bowled a bad 2 games.

Cute bowling ally with drinks and food. I give four stars for a few reasons. There was no ATM and the games only take cash for coins. Plus, the bowling seemed a bit pricey to me but maybe Im out of touch ($40 for two games?). Drinks were standard. Music was fun. Recommend.

Fantastic experience here at 39 lanes. Plenty of lanes that were roomy up until about 10 pm. The food was great the bar had a great variety of drinks to choose from and when you get bored with bowling and drinks they also have some old school arcade games to enjoy. I plan to revisit in the near future.

It was fantastic!! They have pool tables, bowling lanes and even a couple arcade games. They have a bar and they even serve food. Though it is a bit pricey, it is definitely worth it. Definitely coming back soon

I had a good time for my friends bday. It was my first time there and it was easy to find. Id say its pretty normal for a bowling alley.The things that stood out to me were: The cafeteria took about 30mins past the time it was supposed to open (around 6-630) The woman at the grill was eating something (no gloves no hair net) when we asked about it (politely) she was a bit annoyed. We brushed it off and got nachos. They were guilty pleasure good and was big enough to share with a few people. It wasnt crowded which was nice. No lines at all. This is a good place to go for a small group of friends, family night or a date. It has a retro kinda feel, a bar, a couple arcade games, and vending machines. Dont forget your ID.I thought it was cute how you can add a photo to the scoreboard for each bowler. Shatto 39 also seems like a pretty safe/cool place for teens to hang out.Overall its not expensive, if youre hungry eat before you come, or Smuggle snacks in :) Bring good vibes and good people (fun is what you make it!)

Exactly what I wanted - a clean lane, fitting shoes and a decent ball to send to the pins. If I ever get bored of that, Ill rent a billiards table for some pool, or put a couple of quarters in the pinball machine. Its less than 10 minutes of walking from the Wilshire/Vermont station, so Ill definitely be visiting more often.

Drinks, pool and bowling. And arcade. Fun times with friends and its not expensive. Thursday is best as youll have plenty of space for you.

This place has lots of lanes (39 to be exact)! There is an underground parking structure but its super compact! Park at your own risk.... when it gets packed, there is barely any room to back up.Prices arent too bad. I went on a Wednesday night with 2 other people. We paid $45 total for 2 games + 1 pair of shoes per person. Its $6 per game + $3 for shoes per person.

This place is pretty old skool, but has been renovated and now its a food spot to hang out. Great atmosphere, good quick bites, their chicken wing are good!

For me it was awesome and very kindly people in there. However the price was so expensive. each game u play have to pay 6 dollars. Im not sure they have special event or not but in state I never played over than 5 dollars per game but on here. Also parking spot is pretty small. pretty sure over than 50 cars can park but u should be very good driver in small parking spot.

Pretty dope bowling alley. It’s located in a slightly tougher part of town but they often have security stationed out front. That being said, we’ve never had a problem. The lanes are clean, shoes are cheap and they offer a full bar, snacks and a few arcade games. Definitely better than most standard bowling alleys because you can see the character in the building. They also offer parking underneath the bowling alley, which for anyone looking for parking in Los Angeles knows, is a nice feature. Will definitely be back.

Bowling alley straight out of the 70s, totally nostalgic & awesome decor. Not cheap, though, on a Saturday night but still a blast even with tons of people everywhere.

Been coming here since 98 and have always enjoyed this place now I get to share the fun and enjoyment with my kids.

Loooove this place. Low key and chill compared to Lucky strike or Bowlmor. Also, I *think* less expensive. Bowling is $6 per game per person. I dont believe there is a timed option which is a shame. There is also billiards for $10 / hour and you pay for whatever fraction of that you play. Drink prices are decent, certainly cheaper than any random LA bar. Overall a solid time.

This is a great local bowling alley located at 3rd St and Vermont.They have decent food, although a little over priced. They serve alcohol of course and it is always clean and well maintained. A fun place to enjoy a couple of games (about 5$ per game). They also accommodate birthday parties for children at a decent package price. There is a video game room to keep the kids busy when they are not bowling.

Great place to bowl, play pool and catch some beers. Staff up front and at the bar were awesome.

This is the lowkey spot for bowling! Its super cheap, the drinks are pretty good and its just a fun environment. This is my go-to spot for a cheap good night out. Also, they have free parking! It doesnt get better than that! LoL

Ive been coming to this place since I was a little girl its so awesome here. Borderline isnt too expensive foods decent and the the drinks are a bit pricey.

Let me tell you I come here to unwind i stress easily i usually have my close friend join me on pool and we can go at it for a while I love pool there are other things to do their to like socialize partys arcade games bowling bar food . kids are welcomed too I recommend it.

So fun I forgot to take more photos. 4 pinball machines, air hockey, fooseball, Jurassic park and walking dead shooting games, cruising USA driving. PLUS bowling, billiards, and a bar!

Had a good time. The music was ok. The customer service was great every where. The bartenders was nice and helpful. The cafe cashier was helpful and knowledgeable about the food. There were vegetarian options avaliable.

Went there with a friend to have a few drinks at the bar, but both of the bartender didnt acknowledge us that much, only had 2 beera each and went somewhere else, last time i was there was a year ago totally different, alot better service, and alot more friendly, to bad,use to be a better place

The bowling game was super fun and staff were incredibly nice. We had to wait a bit on Saturday evening, but it was fine.

Great place to bring a bunch of people for a good time. Whether you are playing pool, video games (quality of those has kinda decreased lately IMO), or actually bowling, this is a pretty inviting place. Laid back vibe, and the decent bar food doesnt hurt either

This used to be a good hangout on a Friday night but recently the place seems to be a little rowdy. I still go here from time to time but they need to have someone control foul behavior from unruly guests. hope they fix that!

Ive been coming to these lanes for over 20 years. Walking is and the smell it has just lets you know its been there for a while but not in a bad way. Good place to just chill with friends. Normally come with my partner for a one on one best out of 5, which I normally win lol. Check the place out.

I enjoy bowling here each time, and I also like the semi-retro atmosphere.

The alley is nice and clean. The prices werent too great but theyre certainly not bad. I really did not like the oil patterns they put on my lane (10). It extended across nearly all of the lane, so the balls hook would not catch until just moments before hitting the pins. Its a great place for casual bowlers and straight bowlers, but for people learning to hook (like me) it was a little harder.

Very large areas w pool tables here, which can come in handy when waiting for your party to be called for bowling.And it’s a classic bowling alley, not one of those fancy hipster bowling alleys that keep popping up.This is the place you go if you’ve just watched Big Lebowski & want that throw back feel.Drinks are decently priced, but bowling can get a lil pricey.Great place to go though.

Chill place to grab drinks and play games. Never played there but there seems to be more than 2 pool tables. Air hockey and other arcade games seem fun. Bar has cheap drink options, food is good enough to counter the alcoholic beverages lol. Wouldnt say its amazing but its edible. Park on the street if you can because the lot is cramped and gives anxiety triggering vibes.

Quite possibly the best bowling alley in LA. Every demographic represented, across from a Sizzler and several K Town pool halls, this place is a classic. Also, arcade games and good chili cheese fries.

This place is super old school, I remember back in the day when my pops brought me here. And man It was a blast in the psst when I showed up today for the first time in many years. More games and a butt load of pool tables. And the floor looks updated with new wood too. Computers and all. Kids and hipsters come here and its cool. Hope it stays open for many years more.

The pricing is initially reasonable just for two games for two was 35 bucks. It was fun they have a few games that my friends and I played that takes quarters to play and they have food inside that I didnt get to try because they closed at around 1 or before. They also have a bar that closes 30 minutes before they close. But music was fair and places was ok

Prices are usually cheaper in the mornings and during the week while getting slightly more expensive during the evening and weekends but is still a great price and place to bowl. The bowling League is also fun and the food there is pretty good too.

For its prices, Shatto Lanes offers a nice atmosphere with plenty of lanes for families, friends, couples, and leagues to play on. Free parking is a plus. shoe rental was $3 and one game per person was $6. The vibe is definitely more old school. There are variety of arcade games. Vending machines filled with junk food galore. also, a bar and billiard.

Theyve really revamped the place since Ive been here last. Honestly just good ol bowling alley. The foodstuff opens later though but the management is pretty cool bringing in outside food before a certain time. Theres also 2 different rooms to play pool.This place does get packed so come with the whole party early since theres no reservations. I should have also taken out money since all the vending machines are cash only.

Free parking is a huge deal in K-Town, esp. at night when most bowling occurs. Shoes, bowling balls and common areas were kept in decent condition. Its a great place to relax with large groups.Fast food selection looked abysmal. There was also a bar with T.Vs but I didnt order anything.
