During this pandemic, It was a couple of months that I didnt go to any movie theaters. But when the time they open, I grab the opportunity to watch my favorite movie. I was so happy and comfortable inside the theater because we all wear a mask and observed social distancing. I really commend the facility for being industrious in following health protocols.
Last week, my friends and I went to this cinema house. We loved how cozy and comfortable their chairs are. The screen was massive, and the sound doesnt hurt your ears. The snacks that can be bought here tasted good. Especially, their salted caramel popcorn was heavenly. We enjoyed the movie and the snacks.
I absolutely love going to this theater! I love that it only has one screening room and they show select movies there. I fee like it makes the experience more special because every time feels like an exclusive invite to a super cool movie. The staff is always very nice and they have all the regular movie snacks that you love plus some extra special things. You can also enjoy an alcoholic beverage if you so choose.
A very nice movie house and great for date nights! Ive been there several times and havent had any terrible issues. The food was great, the staff was very pleasant, and the service was great! The prices are fair, so if you are want to watch a movie while you eat a meal, then check this place out. We will be back!
They have updated movies and their staff members are quick to address your concerns if you have any. The room is so big, clean, and organized as well as the toilet. They have different genres that people will surely love. I highly recommend this place to all my friends.
Good quality sound and comfy big room at a very affordable price. The whole room was very cold and I loved it. If you want to relax and enjoy, this place will provide you with your most awaited movie. The toilets are also clean. Thank you!
I just wanted to thank you and the cinema for your excellent service in giving me a free movie ticket. Your white-glove service is outstanding, I am very pleased with this service. Thanks for all the help you gave me, it was greatly appreciated. I enjoyed watching the movie with my family.
I would like to thank this cinema house for making my movie experience more fascinating. I could not ask for more from these guys because the snacks and service here are amazing too. I will surely come back and bring my friends with me the next time around. Good job, everyone! Thanks a lot!
The service was great and the staff is very professional and super friendly. The seats are very comfortable if you want to sit down and be served. This is the place for you if you want to relax. This wasnt my first time visiting here, and it will definitely not my last.
Someday Im going to move away from Los Angeles. Ill move to someplace bucolic, where my kids will be able to run through meadows and forests of pine and aspen trees, as the fresh breeze tousles their hair and brings their delighted shrieks to my ears, and I will not miss L.A. at all... except maybe Ill miss the Landmarks Nuart Theatre movie theater.
A nice variety of movies, with discounts for matinees and seniors. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the restrooms are clean. I highly recommend this movie theatre for everyone!
5 stars all the way for this perfect movie house. My high expectations were provided. Their friendly, respectful, and accommodating staff was great to deal with. I am 100% satisfied and contented customer here! They strive to provide us the best service that exceeds our expectations. Great interior around the place as well.
This is the most affordable and clean Movie theatre Ive ever been. They have great and up to date movies and their screen is so big.

My friends and I went to this cinema last year to watch our favorite movie. We were really impressed with this place. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We like how wide the screen was. The reclining chairs were very comfy and cozy to sit on. The snacks that they had were delicious and satisfying. Especially, the popcorn was so crunchy and tasty. We will surely visit this place again.
Great service, comfortable seats, tasty snacks are available. This cinema house is certainly the best place for moviegoers because they have what it takes to provide an amazing movie experience. I am greatly satisfied, and I would be honored to recommend this place to every people out there. It was all worth it! Strongly recommended!
I went to this cinema house with a full of excitement and happiness. Besides, the staff entertained me with passion, determination, and confidence. When entering the cinema house, I could see that the place was comfortable, big, and quiet. Besides, the foods and the drinks that I bought when watching cinemas taste yummy. Ill be back soon, for it was quite worth it and satisfying here!
I saw Star Wars here. Half way through a fight scene the screen went red for about a minute (you could still see what was going on). It was a technical error that was a bit annoying, but I forgot about by the end of the movie. On the way out three employees blocked the exit, and one gave out free passes and apologized for the issue. Wow, I had forgotten about it by then, but they didnt. Keeping it classy Landmarks Nuart Theatre.
Excellent place to catch a movie if you are in LA . Validated parking, clean theaters with comfy seating and plenty of dining options for before or after the movie. If you catch a movie in the dome it is pretty cool. The staff will also introduce the film in the theater before it starts which is a nice touch.
The Landmarks Nuart Theatre is just one of those beautiful old theaters that they don’t make any more. Gorgeous Art Deco design. Add to that the quality of the productions - everything we have seen there has been impeccable, from Book of Mormon to Hamilton to Cinderella.
The chicken parm is just absolutely out of this world! You get such an amazing entre for such an amazing price, and I always recommend this dish to people. I mean you cant go wrong with anything on this menu. The staff is incredible, and you feel like a celebrity eating here! I will recommend this place to my friends.
Great place to go and reckless! This is mainly for the nights of rocky horror picture show! If you go in a Saturday you will have a great time. Man my favorite part is everyone who works there and the cast is amazing. I’m glad to have this available to me. It’s fun and I get to meet fun other people best part of the night for sure! Man this is always something I look forward to!
Landmarks Nuart Theatre is on Hollywood Blvd right by the famous Walk of Fame with the Hollywood stars. The area around can be a little sketchy with lots of homeless people camping there. However, if you are walking to your destination and not just strolling you should be OK.
This is a great theater with one of the best screens and the best SOUND in Los Angeles.
Saw a limited screening of Akira here, way better than I remember it in the 90s. Great screen and seating. Definitely recommend
Absolutely beautiful spacious theater that exudes an air of glamor, with a built in setup for Q&As. No official parking, but its easy to find in the neighborhood. Amazing meal options in Sawtelle, as well.
The first minor problem with the theatre is that there is only street/ metered parking; however, I only go on Sundays where street parking is free or, in the evenings where parking is free after 8 pm. However, I love that it is just one large theatre with sloped seating. I am able to see the screen at any angle. Recently, I saw Roma which is nominated for Best Sound and features ambient sounds in the movie. I was very impressed with the sound quality. Also, the prices are very reasonable: $12 during busy times as opposed to $18 at other theatres. The concession prices are less expensive as well. Note: this is a specialty/art-house theatre so if you love independent film, you will love this neighborhood theatre.
In my opinion they have a really good selection of Indie films this year by far, in comparison to the hollywood movies.
Best time ever there was the most beautiful down to earth people and everyone was in to the movie and acting, I will be doing it again
Saw the animation and short film nominees for the academy awards. It took 25 years, but I finally found you! Thanks
Awesome vintage theater friendly staff and awesome popcorn also classic vintage movies are shown
Fabulous little artistic theater showing indie films you cant see anywhere else on the west side. Great selection of concessions including wine and beer. Excellent customer service. Clean facilities. Also great place to go for midnight movie favorites!
A very good Rocky Horror midnight movie. The cast was excellent and they helped a lot with the call backs. They sell a kit of props for the show which is very nice. They also have a good set of speeches about consent which is great to see at one of these shows. Everyone had a blast at the show we saw.
Went to the 12 o’clock rocky horror picture show, and it was fantastic. The live on stage actors performed fantastically, and the audience participation was great!
Was having a good time until I saw the parking ticket for $73 on my windshield. Arrived and parked after midnight in a lot indicated on their map as free after 8pm. Shouldve paid regardless. Yes, it would be nice to indicate that there is no parking after 2am for the 12:30am showings scheduled... that might be delayed due to other events. Thanks!
Its a nice comfortable theater, but every time Im there, I feel the screen should be larger than it is. Movie screens today are as big as they can be. But Im appreciative of the fact they show films that are not blockbuster releases. The films shown here might not be all that great, but guaranteed to be more interesting. And the popcorn is good.
If youve never seen Rocky Horror live, youre missing out on quite an experience! The Nuart Theatre has live performances every Saturday night at midnight, but get there early to guarantee you will get a ticket, because they frequently sell out. The food is amazing, especially considering its a movie theater. Wine and champagne also available. You can even purchase accessories for the movie, in case you forgot to bring your own. Youre guaranteed a fun night at the Nuart. I highly recommend it!
Best kept secret in the Westside of town. Always courteous, always welcoming--you never feel left out of the conversation about what is fresh and new. Highly recommended for visitors, tourists and anyone who loves film. Try the popcorn while your at it, you wont be disappointed. There are many great restaurants opened around the area late at night for an early bite or late night brunch.
I love this theater. Great place to watch classic movies at. Easy recommendation for anyone. Cheap tickets too!
I love this theater. I havent been in ages though. I used to go to the Midnight Movies. I recently went on a Sunday and it was a great time. Best day to go is Sunday since you dont have to pay on the meters
Sword of Truth was a funny wonderful movie. Marc Maron acting was superb.
Cool quaint theater friendly staff
Incredible to see MEETING GORBACHEV, then, almost as if by magic Werner appears. A very wonderful and memorable evening.
I went for RHPS. Its was ok but Frank n further was low-key terrible
Big screen and ample seating, great programming and guest speakers. And beer!
My little brother tripped on a prop during the show and instead of helping him up they dragged him to the back with security and said he was was too drunk to stay and threw him out. They didn’t know 17 of us were with him. We immediately requested a refund and I can say we will never come back.
I have known this place for the past 42 years. At times they show some of the main stream movies but they are more known for their Indie type movies which draws big crowds. During the Halloween season they will show The Little Shop of Horrors and every Saturday night (midnight) they shoe The Rocky Horror Show. So, if you like movie that make you think, this is the place. Hey, the shot a Starsky and Hutch show there once.
Saw the Rocky Horror Picture show here! Great production the cast and audience are so into it! Nuart put on a great show. Clean, comfortable theater. I want to make this my go-to theater!
Great place to see old & current movie events... I usually come here on date nights with my boyfriend... they also have great popcorn... prices are good and if youre into cinema this is the place.
Love coming to this theater, always a great experience. Good selection in the concession stand too!
Large theatre..old school independent. Nice
Super cool movie theater showing the best movies.
I have only really been here with the rocky horror picture show cast sins of the flesh, but every time I come it feels like family. Polite and helpful staff, fun and energetic crowds. Its a wonderful place to spend a day at. You can see full movies or shorts. You can see odd b-movies and blockbusters. You can see beautiful boys dressed as beautiful girls with almost nothing on(only on Saturdays at midnight.) I love the theater and it has become a sanctuary of sorts.
ROCKY HORROR DOUBEL FEATURE EVERY SATURDAY AT MIDNIGHT.YES.
I’ve been here before only outside
Nice simple theater. More relaxing than a multiplex. Friendly folks and great movies.
Good movie Lucia Lux my love
Pretty average movie theater - not as pricy or AMC or others, but you get what you pay for.same seats they had in 1997
This place is just the best. Theres a wide variety of snacks available and friendly employees to sell them to you. The movies shown here are always spectacular choices.
The best classic movies from 20s to the 80s all here and independent and Saturday night midnight Rocky horror picture show!!!
Great indie film theater. Small and intimate, just like the way it should be for small, intriguing films. Best part is its right next to Cinefile video in case you want want more independent movies
Used to come regularly for Rocky Horror. I come back for the midnight movies sometimes. Very cool spot. Wish I had something like it a little closer to me.
Old-fashioned single-screen theater, kept up-to-date with comfortable seating and digital projecting. Specializes in independent, documentary, and foreign movies. Great programming. Los Angeles’s home for midnight “Rocky Horror Picture Show” screenings. Full range snack bar, including vegan treats and alcoholic beverages. Conveniently located right off the 405. Be sure to stop in at Cinephile Video while you’re in the neighborhood
Seats are comfortable. the popcorn is good the butter is buttery. I like coming here very much.
Wonderful historic theatre with comfortable seats, terrific popcorn and strong programming. One of great marquees, too.
I like the films they put on and I absolutely adore that they have the Rocky Horror Picture Show play everyweek and stay true to the film and live actors. It was my first time watching the movie and it was absolutely enjoyable! Would definately go again!
Lovely theatre. Enjoyed the event. Good sound. Even had a Q and A after the film.
Good for independent films.
Terrific spot to see Independent films
Went here for rocky horror on Halloween. sold out show, great cast, wonderful experience. would highly recommend- youll enjoy yourself
We went to see Rocky Horror for the 1st time in 30ish years. We had a blast. Sins of the Flesh did a great job as the shadow cast.
3.0 star rating 3/7/2018Have been wanting to come here to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show for a very long time and on Saturday evening I finally got my chance! The theatre itself is really cool, very old school and has an artsy vibe to it which I love, I kinda wish they could find a nice medium with their RHPS cast though. Im twenty six and I felt uncomfortably old as most people there looked to be between 14 and 20, a lot of the younger girls were wearing lingerie and seemed to be there more for the social aspect than the film itself. The cast knew their stuff and the props were pretty incredible, the MC was super funny but, again, a few of them looked so young I felt uncomfortable watching them act out the film.I will definitely come back and try again, maybe I came on the wrong evening.Have been wanting to come here to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show for a very long time and on Saturday evening I finally got my chance! The theatre itself is really cool, very old school and has an artsy vibe to it which I love, I kinda wish they could find a nice medium with their RHPS cast though. A true classic movie theater with an awesome selection of features and snacks. Comfortable and intimate.
The theater is very large, but it is an older style. The seats are lovely. They show extremely interesting movies.
Great customer service, employees are super friendly, the movie sound quality is excellent, highly recommend
Excellent art film theater. All the style of a 1940s theater with the latest technology. Great location near good restaurants, too.
Still a great place to see independent movies with tons if restaurant near by and Cinefile Video Store right next door.
Wonderful ..the popcorn is good...even give you butter in the middle if you want...always unique and excellent films often not available anywhere else...free water and no attitude..Have been going there for years and hope they can keep open for many more years. Film, to be really appreciated, needs to be seen in a theater...so keep on going!!!
A classic one-screen theater with terrific customer service.
Large theater, nice staff, cool movies, and parking around the corner, $1 an hour I would just pay the 4 hours just in case you decide to stop at the cool CD rental store next door or sushi across the street.. ;)
This amazing theater has hosted The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadowcast, Sins O The Flesh, for over 25 years. While keeping the auditorium updated with comfortable seats and clean for their patrons. Three cheers for independent cinema!
Went to see The King . Film was not bad but the theatre is really nice.
Nice clean theater, plenty of street parking on a Sunday afternoon. No parking lot, good selection of snacks, great customer service
Great movies and popcorn butter, cramped seating.
Great place to take your girl/boyfriend to spice up date night. The Rocky Horror Picture show on weekends is great.
Rare unique Cinema like Grace Jones New bio pic.
Smaller, single cinema theater. Fair prices, decent seats, great selection at the snack bar. The movie theater doesnt have a dedicated lot so be prepared to hunt around for a spot.
Nice art deco theater. Great sound system, very comfortable seating.
The theater is inside the Westside Pavilion mall and is probably the best option for movie theaters on the west side. Its cheaper than Century City and Arclight and a lot nicer than the Pacific Culver Theater. They have lots of ticketing machines as well as a box office booth so theres generally no wait.Theater layout is a little strange and it doesnt seem like they have as many showings as other theaters.Parking is easy since its at a mall with 2 hours free. All in all, this is my theater of choice.
Great memories ! Our family used to go there to watch the Three Stooges festivals and movies like A MAN AND A WOMAN️
Its an independent theater, so you dont really know what youre going to get. If youre tired of big budget movies that suck, and your faith in cinema has slowly rotted away, give indie films a try. They also show cult classics once a week and have some RHPS thing.
