Each of the rooms where they show the movies have around 40+ seats so that everyone will be more comfortable and relax. We will definitely come back! The seats have individual armchairs that let you lay back and watch your favorite movie. What a nice to enjoy with your friends and family. Highly recommended!

Clean and very comfortable movie theater. The experience was really top notch. The cost is a tad higher than our Arizona pricing, but its LA and the parking validation and relatively cost effective drinks and popcorn (consistent with AZ) left me wanting to come back for more! I would definitely do this!

Older theater in a historic theater-neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles. Close to Pershing Square on Red or Purple Metro. You can see how luxurious the theater once was. Still has painted panels, although faded, and some great carved wall and ceiling decorations. Main curtain in good shape, but older curtains up high have seen better days. Acoustics quite good. If it could be redone, it would be amazing, but sure it would be cost exorbitant. Nice place to intimately see good acts. We saw Walk Off the Earth in February of 2020 -- excellent act, full of fun and action with creative ways of playing numbers. Very energetic -- felt wed gotten our ticket price easily in entertainment value.

This is the ONLY place I watch movies. Its always a great experience. The one thing that I wish that they would remedy is that they done have a slushy machine. I really wish that they would get one.The seats are comfortable and most of your fellow movie goers are polite and considerate.Whenever a movie comes out and I want to see it this is where youll find me.

A trip to the Palace Theatre for me is a trip back to my adolescence overseas and in Los angels. One of the joys of living in Europe was the occasional trip to Los Angels, where there were still a good number of huge, well-tended movie palaces with ushers. The writing was already on the wall in the late seventies -- most of the thousands of seats would be empty -- but their scale and grandeur still overwhelmed you.

What a magical place! This theater is gorgeous inside. I visited the location for a screening of Gremlins. And had a chance to go to the mezzanine and balcony. I definitely recommend sitting in the balcony because theyre stadium seating. Every seat is great, especially in the center. Highly recommend taking a ride share or public transit since parking is scarce.

We went here to attend a concert. The place has such an authentic feel to it. Built in 1911, it will surely transport you back to the days of vaudeville. Im a huge admirer of art and architecture, and this was certainly no exception. I did notice that it could use some upkeep for obvious reasons...its a very old place. Nonetheless, a place worth visiting.

We have been to the Palace Theatre MANY times, from when I was a kid in the 60s to actually see movies, and as an adult to see dozens of plays including Lion King, Wicked, Mama Mia, Pricilla Queen of the Desert, dozens more and most recently, Beautiful (about the life of Carole King).

Lovely 1920’s Baroque Style Theater with hug rounded ceilings, chandeliers, and red velvet seats. Great acoustics. Legendary, yet intimate, live acts. Saw FKA TWIGS kick off her first solo tour in 4 years in 2019. Saw RAMSEY shred the stage with her shredded writhing bod and wailing vocals. The owner is sooo cool! Overall, my experiences at PALACE THEATER are among my favorite memories in Los Angeles, CA.

It has been over 2months since my boyfriend has not received pay. We were told that the Palace theater has not payed the company thats why my boyfriend hasnt received pay. Since then we have calledMad Gary & Randy and we have left various messages. No response. We have also contacted Brenda she is the one who gave us this information. My boyfriend needs his money. We have children and bills to pay. Please anyone who knows about this or if you can help please reach to us. My boyfriend is a U.S citizen and deserves his pay.

The Palace is a beautiful old building! Granite, marble, beautiful frescoes.. this theater is rich with history. The seats are plush worn velvet (but theyre narrow!), and the small bathrooms have a never-ending line. Lots of steep stairs, look out of youre in tall heels! Little to no a/c so it gets warm. Every seat had a good view of the stage! Theres a parking garage 1 1/2 blocks away, an easy 5 minute walk.

In any other town, the Palace would be exactly that--a palace. But among the Golden Age Movie Palaces on Broadway in DTLA, the Palace is a lovely little also ran--a good enough theater outshone by the likes of the beautifully restored Ace Hotel United Artists Theater, or the vast, elegant Orpheum, or even the shabby-but-still-stunning Los Angeles Theater. Dont get me wrong, the Palace is a fun and functional performance venue, but it lacks the over-the-top wow factor that characterizes many of its neighbors on Broadway.

Theres always one super long line to get in. The seats suck if youre over 4ft tall. Your knees WILL hit the person in front of you and your legs will cramp. The theatre is somewhat pretty since it is very old and maintained. If youre on the balcony, it can make you feel claustrophobic since the ceilings are low and the seats are crammed together. The employees are always pleasant, though.

Enjoyed the ani difranco concert, parking was easy to walk to and fro from, my car was safe, the surrounding area was fun and attractive and the security was very present but not intrusive nor time intensive, the theatre inself had great atmosphere, bar are could be more easy to access and i did niy like not being able to enjoy my drink in the concert hall, nor the long wait at the bar to then have to dunk it down in order to get back to the show. Sound was a bit muffeled which was disappointing.

Came here for a Cinespia screening of Edward Scissorhands and wasnt sure what to expect. I figured itd be pretty nice since it had been renovated, but I wasnt prepared for how gorgeous it was in here! Its always amazing to see old buildings (say, anything before 1950)--all the craft and decoration that went into them, even though it mustve been harder for them without all the modern technology. It was a very popular and crowded event that night, and the way theyd set up the concessions next to the bathrooms was just an absolute nightmare. We were thinking about getting a drink, but we took one look at that line and said, no way. Not to mention all the people in line to get their pics taken at the photo booth getting confused with the people in the concession/bathroom line...arrrrrgh. We just barely got to use the bathroom and make it back to our seats in time for the show.I must say that the picture and sound quality of the movie was just so-so--I think Cinespia brought in their own set up that they use for the outdoor screenings or something. That said, we still had an excellent time. Im sure it was mostly because it was such a cool, enthusiastic crowd. And the movies really held up well over the years. It was definitely a treat to see a screening in a place with such great ambiance.
