Such a sweet spot. Hole in the wall vibe. Obviously, before the pandemic there was some amazing artists cruising through here. I can’t wait to get another chance to get a nice spot, drink, and snack and watch some of LA jazz finest truly enjoy themselves and jam. They make really good drinks. One time I saw Hannibal Buress, Vic Mensa, Kamasi Washington, MNDSGN, and Flying Lotus here, on the same night. I felt pretty cool, haha.

Very intimate environment with cool, unique drinks and cozy indoor/outdoor bar and seating space. One of those places a local should definitely discover.. Bring a date here to get major points. The only thing that would make this better would be some small bites or food vendor.

Definitely an old man dive bar but everyone was kind and welcoming. Drinks are average price but cash only. I love that the pool tables accept dollar bills. Ive actually never seen that before. Bathroom definitely needs a remodel. Loved the vintage red leather seating. It was pretty chill and exactly what Id expect from a dive bar.

I sat on a Louis Vuitton stool, felt classy! We got some drinks here this afternoon and it was a very chill vibe. I ordered the tap beer of the day, my girlfriend had a negroni that was EXCELLENT.We got the special duck fat fries tossed in spicy seasoning which were also divine. I really enjoyed the oysters as well, and if you come between 3-6pm on weekends they have an oyster happy hour where they are 1.50$ each if you order another food item.Great spot!

Nice place to hangout out with friends over some pool and beers. They allow food from outside which is nice. Prices are very reasonable especially during happy hours which is available 7-9pm everyday, including weekends!

Mondays are all day happy hour. Very friendly staff and great prices. My wife said the cocktails are amazing.

This is the best little beer and food restaurant in montrose they have all kinds of craft beers and delicious food so good the staff is super friendly especially Melissa she will treat you right good service I dont have one bad thing to say about the place

What a great happy hour! Lasts until 8. $1 oysters -- was very fresh. The hummus and chips was delicious and healthy portions of the ribs. Cocktail, beer and sake!! I rarely see sake on a HH menu. Bartender was personable. Food was brought and cleared efficiently. Will come again!

What a cosy space, well priced drinks of high quality, oysters that are fresh, friendly staff and excellent live jazz musicians (on a Monday at least). 5 usd entry fee, well worth it and can be paid by card!

Fantastic neighborhood place. Small but tasty menu of share plates. Try the tuna poke tostada and the ribs. Delicious, fresh oysters.

Very strange incident tonight at ETA. My husband and I were sitting at the bar by the edge, sipping on our drinks. Out of the corner a small cockroach springs out onto the table ! My husband quickly squished it with a napkin . He was waiting to show it to the bartender but he was busy . He tossed it and we finished our drinks and left . Def left an unsavory taste in my mouth.

I stopped by Barbarossa Lounge for drinks after dinner at the nearby Bask restaurant on a Monday night around 8 pm. It wasnt too crowded, probably because it was a Monday night, and my friend and I were able to easily grab a seat.

I love this place! Great cocktails, food and most of all amazing customer service! Only place I know where they constantly introduce all bartenders by name to customers. 5 star service!

The bartenders are really aware of their surroundings. They will come over to help without you asking, which is a rarity in of its own. Happy Hour is resonably priced, especially the unheard of $1 oysters. Not only is it priced fairly, the food is also phenomenal! The ribs fell off the bone, the sauce for the chicken wings was unique and the chicken wings themselves were light and crispy. The hummus was better than store brands, and the guac was generously given. I had a red wine that was perfect for all the food that we had. Lastly, the ambiance of the entire place was warm and inviting and the music was uniquely chosen and was fresh. Stellar spot to go to, I highly recommend it!

Happy hour is easy, vibe is cozy, and there were seats at the bar on a Friday. The old fashioned and penicillin were very good. Its blended scotch w lemon, honey, ginger syrup and Laphroaig 10 yr. The dollar oysters go well with the drinks.

Came here for drinks. Had the old fashion with bourbon very good. The atmosphere was really nice and loved the decor. Had the grilled cheese with bacon it was good but on the small side so it would be a good idea to order more food. Music was a little loud. Bartenders were really friendly and knowledge.

We came here for the grilled cheese. Definitely not the best bar grill cheese I have had, but descent. The staff was really nice. The place was a cool venue. Small, intimate and when you come on a weekday pretty empty. Would definitely recommend this bar for drinks and grilled cheese.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The whole vibe was nice and fun. The place is right on Hollywood Blvd, so its super easy to find and get parking, both on the street if you can, and paid. Highly recommend!

Cool vibe, solid drinks and great live music!

The bar food is quite good and the happy hour here is pretty good. On the weekends they usually have a DJ and there’s a small tight space to get your dance on which honestly is perfect for the venue. Highland Park is beyond blown up...coolest “new” scene in Los Angeles.

On my way to #DTLA, I stopped at Highland Park Metro Station to check out this new addition. This Cocktail bar is an #LA hidden gem that I am coming back to beaucoup. My first drink was A Gin & Mezcal surprise called The Penultimate Word

Best burger I’ve had in a long long time in LA. Do it. This place is an A+ (minus the big TV at the bar... come on LA... it’s about time we do a ban on tvs in bars, right?)

One of the nicest bar in the hood; 3 stars for the place/vibe + 1 star for friendly staff. This relatively new bar on Figueroa-Highland Park offers good booze and music. The bar is small but intimate, dim lit and offers happy hour. They serve small plate food albeit limited menu. The staff are friendly and competent. Overall, I highly recommend this bar if youre in Highland Park area.

This place was about as chill as they come. A great place to hang with your gal. Its dark, quiet, and just feels right. The drink list is overwhelming, but just jump in and try something. Everything we had was delicious, but the Ward Eight was our favorite. We also had some olives and some fig thing that was divine.

The burger was a flavorless dry puck. They got the drink order wrong and then were too swamped to be able to correct it. Go for the live music, skip the rest. (To Management: hire an extra bartender)

One of the few bars in town where you dont have to yell to have a conversation! This place has a great vibe and a decent happy hour with a super cool environment!

Well, the one thing about gentrification is that you get new awesome bars. This is a small place and the bartenders make a decent drink. Its a relaxed spot and has a great vibe. Your friends will no doubt call you a goddamn hipster when you tell them youve been here. I know. It happens to me a lot.

This is my favorite place to get a drink and a bite to eat.

Grabbed a crispy pilsner here last night and grooved out as the DJ spun spooky Erik Satie remixes and Leonard Cohen deep cuts. Laid back crowd, but buyer beware: the roaches here are the size of my little nephews fist! (Not sure if roaches were part of Halloween decor)They also provided snacks in the form of the gum ball eyes you get from those looney tunes ice cream truck popsicles.Ill be back!

Easily the best cocktails in Highland Park. Wonderful bartenders, great lighting, and they often have live music - great for a fun night out with a date or some friends. The marinated olives and/or charcutable are always stellar snack options.

Feels a bit like the lobby of a new hotel, but it will age well. I appreciate the emphasis on live music.

One of my favorite bars in highland park!Drinks are super trendy and great.Happy Hour Mon-Thurs 6-8pm and Fri & Sat 5-7pm where they have great ~$7 cocktails!Theres no food there (from what I recalled) and you can bring your own (yes bring ur mini cheese board but be classy haha) or take out in the area. The atmosphere there doesnt really fit food and feels more like a speakeasy and chill. On the weekdays its great to bring your girlfriends or your significant other but not a crowd (most tables are for 2 seaters). But on the weekend they had a dj there and man i was so into his beats. trust he played some chill edm last time I came (dont know if that was a one time event, but it was poppin).very cute for date night after dinner or drinks with your girls
