An absolute stunning wine lounge with great vibes. Its dimly lit with soft music playing in the background - not too dark where you cant take pictures and not too loud where you have to yell to your friend sitting right next to you. I love to come here for HH, for friends visiting out of town, or if Im feeling a classy vibe after dinner.

Love, love, love Verse. The food is amazing so many flavors in each bite. I already have my favorite appetizer and cocktail from the menu. The atmosphere is very warm and the design is beautiful. Such a great place to meet up with friends and the food itself becomes an incredible conversation topic.

Unfortunately, nothing to write home about. It was fine and we had a nice night out on the patio. Good service. We had a spinach lasagna and steak. It wasnt bad but definitely not outstanding, so I felt that it was a little bit pricey relative to the quality. They had a decent wine selection though and alcohol prices were very reasonable.

I love old school Columbos! Dinner and entertainment, my kind of place. Great place to get a late bite. Mondays are open mic, starting at 9:00 pm. The filet was great! Scallops special was not so good. The scallops tasted fresh, but the bland sauce with mashed potatoes was terrible. They should never be served together! Ill stick with menu items from now on.

The restaurant is known for their Crab Cioppino, and bills itself as the best. Everyone was super friendly and we waited about 20 minutes for a table. We started off with 6 West coast oysters and they were delightfully delicious! I mean just fresh as if they were just pulled out of the ocean!

My favorite deep dish pizzeria ever. The salad is a great way to start the meal. Great selection of beers and wines by the glass. Never have room for desert but never left unsatisfied. Stay awesome Colombos Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club.

They have outdoor dining. The staff is friendly and great. Ive liked everything Ive eaten there, but I do have to say their wedge salad is my favorite. Im glad they are fighting through these difficult times and wish them the best. Lets keep them open NELA!!!

Great old school North beach vibe here. Long and narrow with lots of fish on the walls. I came here as I was searching for a great Clam Chowda .. and theirs has potential to be great. Lots of whole clams and BACON! But the soup was a bit grainy so while the flavor was spot on the texture was a bit rough.

If you are expecting Jazz be forewarned. Its Friday night. I called and no Jazz. Glad I called first! They should stipulate that on their Google listing. People go to Google listings more often than a businesss website.

I fell in love with Colombo’s. Charming environment and also the best pizza in LA. Please keep this place running forever!

Top-notch service and heavy pours!

This is one of my favorite steak houses. We got a porter house steak and it was cooked perfectly. I love how they cook it first, bring it out, then take it to the back to cut it for us. It was perfectly cut. They also gave us the duck fat fries on the house. It is seasoned with three different seasonings and comes with three different sauces. It went very well with the meal. After the meal we had a banana tart that was delicious. I do not like overly sweet desserts so this was perfect!! Our server was also very wonderful and helpful. I dont remember his name but next time I go I will definitely request him...think it was JP or JB....

The food is top notch, Hard working employees, It will only improve once Kovid disappears.

I celebrated my birthday last night in this fine place. I am glad to say that we had a tremendous evening and the restaurant was evidently the reason for this outstanding evening. The waiters participated in a splendid style, the meals were great and my guests were extremely delighted. We shall no dout come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

A great room, nice music, good service, stiff drinks. Food was very red sauce Italian-American and i felt good and duly sick after eating a chicken parm, but thats mostly my fault for thinking I could handle it when I dont regularly eat fried food or meat, I just was inspired to try it. Large portions, not overpriced, great marinara, although I think next time Ill stick to something vegetarian and maybe just one martini. Fried zucc was great. Pasta is out of a box but Im still somehow not complaining at all.

I have been hearing about this spot for a long time. Finally had the opportunity. Jazz band was off the hook. Pasta, sausage, bread, salad was excellent. My steak touch over cooked but great plate. Service awesome!Left and was already thinking when can I make it back.

On the weekend nights weve eaten here, reservations were recommended. Ive had a couple of different steaks and there are fish and vegetarian options, so everybody was happy. The live music is good but not obtrusive. Except for some of the specials, everything was well under $30.

Theyre always amazing

Just had dinner at this fabulous Italian Restaurant for our Anniversary. It was absolutely great. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Ambience was very Jazzy which is what we wanted.

Late dinners and drinks LOVE the live bands. Awesome place for 50 yr olds and up. ( 1 negative waitress with attitude, does not say hello when she sees me and should CHANGE her attitude before she loses her job!)

The best place in town. food is great. number one rule, only order drinks beer go some where eles. but by the third cocktail you better be on the way home and close or take a lift. the best!

Great place with live music, good food, and amazing people who we barely met that felt like weve known them forever! And lets not forget the bartender Frank, a bit of a crank (definitely part of his charm) but, he knows how to make a drink. Hes as old school as it gets. At least I know where to hang out the next time Im in Eagle Rock.

This review is strictly on the service. I didnt get to try their food. Im staying at the Inn across the street. Extremely hungry! I go in, leave my name. They tell me 45 minute wait. Asked me if Id be waiting, or if I want to leave my number. I left my number, since Im right across the street. Thats around 9pm. Its 1035pm now... Guess they forgot me. Postmates it is. Was looking forward to their food also.

Advertised as a neighborhood restaurant you wish was in your neighborhood. Good selection of steaks, plus chicken, vegetarian and pasta dishes, all very reasonably priced (the 14 oz Porterhouse was $26). Live music during dinner (piano, the bands start at 9:00).

I love this place! I make it a point to stop in whenever Im in town. Love, love, love their chioppino. Nobody comes close to it in LA. Had other dishes and were all delicious.

Our first time...heard about it from radio spots. The ace is very unassuming from the outside but dont let it fool you. Inside is classic red leather booths, personable staff, and excellent Italian food. The eggplant appetizer and Chicken Piccata was incredible...my wife and I are originally from New York with gravy running through our veins. We drove fro. Santa Clartia and diffinately will be back. New Yorkera thumbs up!

It was just okay. The server was nice and friendly. She apologized ahead of time and explained that they were short a busboy. So, there could be some delays. The delays we experienced was in food delivery. Im not sure what the busboy would have to do with that and the restaurant wasnt full or busy. When we got our food we could tell it was probably ready for pick-up, but sat for a while. The place has been in business for over 60 years and I believe thats how old the furniture and decor is as well.

Its ok for first time but if we passed by it again I wouldnt go. I would rather go to clearmens inn then this place.

Quiet, outdoor spacious seating

The setting is very warm and intimate great place for date night. The food was good, the bar was stellar. The service was helpful and personable. Music was enjoyable. Only one negative but Im going to chalk that up to one bad employee not paying attention, otherwise I highly recommend.

We where there because of the good reviews. And we are absolutely disappointed. The food has nothing to do with real Italian food. We waited about 30 minutes to order. The waiter was rude and unfriendly. And the live music is so loud, that a normal conversation is not possible.Two stars for the steaks . Typically American and very good. But everything else is in my opinion rubbish.

This Eagle Rock gem is consistently great. Starting with the bread which is tasty to the meals which are the right portion, I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Salads are crisp and served on a cold plate and the meals are hot. In the mood for live jazz and cocktails, this is the perfect place for that. Definitely give Columbos a try! Reservations are recommended on Jazz nights.

Lots of energy and the food is solid. Interesting mix of styles and culture that fits into the the community well.

Great local spot and food was good. They have kids specials! Monday night is jam night for those that want to go up and play some jazz. Service was excellent, even though we wanted to sit in a booth and they couldnt provide one due to reservations. Although it opened up later and they ended up giving it to another patron.

Service was great and very attentive. What I ordered was delish.

The chicken parmigiana was good, spaghetti was mediocre and service was lacking. Being my first time there I was not aware that they had any lunch specials. I told our server, I was not aware you had any specials, then she replied well, I was really busy since the other server left, Ill let you know next time. Not sure if Ill go back with that remark.

It was a busy afternoon. Apparently theyre not used to having a lot of customers (whaaat?) - as a result, my friends and I waited for our food for about 45 minutes. I didnt order a full meal because I already ate and just wanted to join my friends and listen to some jazz. I ordered fries and an Arnold Palmer. Let me repeat: fries and an Arnold Palmer. 45 minutes! The atmosphere is vintage cool, with red leather booths and kitchy old paintings on the walls. This place looks like it hasnt changed since it went into business nearly six decades ago. And neither has the menu. Its quite well preserved, for better or worse. They have live jazz on Sundays. The singer was wonderful, however, she was upstaged by the brass player. That room was not built to accommodate a loud brass instrument. Take him out of the equation and the rest of the band with the singer do a pretty good job at all the jazz classics. Maybe I should have ordered a stiffer drink - I wouldnt have noticed how long it took to get my food.

Love this place. Great jazz music and old school Italian food. The bar scene is laid back and local. Get to the bar early or you’ll find yourself standing. Sometimes the hostesses are a bit stupid but once your at your table you’ll be very impressed. Top notch joint!

I love Colombos, its a perfect neighborhood restaurant with a full bar, good dinner menu, and live music weekdays. Daily specials are normally very good. Prices are reasonable. Recommend a reservation or get there early for a decent dinner table. Very nice music setup with nightly variety. A favorite in the ER HP area!

Have dined here several times over past few years. Excellent food, fantastic service in dining room or at bar, great environment. Hat off to Franco - takes great care of his tables.

Regular here mostly for lunch. Went for dinner to get their burger and not on menu. Only available at bar. So they wouldnt let me order it at table and bar area was full. Her reply why I couldnt order burger was if we let you order it then we need to let everyone order it. Really? Doubt people there would change what they went there for to get a burger. Never been good at customer service but this caused us to walk out and dont see being a regular anymore. Should be ashamed of yourself Vic.

We Stumbled on this place by accident and were very happy we did. The food was amazing and very different from what I am used to. They also have intertainment on the weekends. Just local groups but fun.

Great live entertainment especially on Monday nights which is open band night. The food is mediocre at best so go for the entertainment. The vibe is very David Lynch with o let the weirdest locals in the house.

The gentleman bartender not very friendly and poor attitude. My friend lives and the area and he goes often, met him for a couple of drinks, but, did not feel that welcome treatment!

First time here and I thought the food was not bad. I ordered the penne pasta with the pesto and pine nuts with melted mozzarella on top and it was drenched in oil. Im assuming it was olive oil and not an oil blend. I wont be ordering that again because of the high fat content. Also I prefer bread and butter as opposed to the garlic bread they serve

Some of the worst Italian food I have ever had. When asked if they have gnocchi the waiter said I have never heard of that dish. My Italian grandmother would have died on the spot.

Good Food, Chill Environment, and Good Background Music... Take in mind that this restaurant is more like an old school Italian Restaurant, usually older crowd.

Food was good but the sevice was slow.

Flavorful, affordable, and an incredible crust to toppings ratio combined with a wonderful sauce. Thin crust with a perfect crunch and chew inside. The hours are limited (thus my 1 star short or a full 5). I hope this place makes it in the long run as they have the potential to be one of the best in the area.

Visit Columbos for the stellar, throwback atmosphere, and eat delicious food, although I wouldnt call it gourmet its always consistently flavorful and served with a smile. Stay a little later as you imbibe a classic cocktail and listen to live music all week long. What more could you ask for. If you make reservations, be sure to ask for a booth.
